I will start by saying that this is the first bad order I've had from this location. It came via Door Dash, and I followed the driver on their map, so it wasn't a dasher issue. The food was cold, and the fries were basically remnants that were overcooked. They consisted of the broken pieces you get in a bag of frozen fries. The picture is just an example. I ordered the bacon western burger meal and they didn't even ask me what fries i wanted and when i asked if they could switch it out they said no i had to pay for it. I used to come here all the time growing up and their french toast dips were my absolute favorite. I had not been to this location since before covid so we decided to give them a try tonight. We made a mobile order but when we arrived they said they hadn't received it so we had to wait. The french toast sticks are different than I remember: more moist, less powdered sugar and with a hint of lemon maybe. They aren't terrible but they didn't live up to the memory. They would be a fine snack for a sweet tooth though. Better than the salted pralines and cream shake, that's for sure. That thing was like syrup in a cup. Their fries have never been good but we made sure to get regular and criss-cut to try. The onion rings were thin, dry and terrible but the fried zucchini was actually not bad. The burgers here are still amazing though. I got the double western bacon and it was a delicious and melt in your mouth as I remember. At $40 for dinner for two I doubt we will be back any time soon but if you are craving a good burger - and nothing but a burger - it might be worth your time to stop in. read more

I don't stop in often but when I do it's for breakfast or lunch. The food is always fresh and hot, the service is fast and the employees are always upbeat and polite. The restaurant is clean and always picked up. But the main reason for my review is because of the woman who works the early morning shift (I believe she might be the manager) at the drive thru window. This woman is always smiling, upbeat and very pleasant. It's so nice to see someone take pride in their job, be so cheerful first thing in the morning, I always look forward to my breakfast stops because of her. The burger was ok, the patties were not hot or juicy, just warm and dry. Like they had been under a lamp for a while. The fries, here's the real rating; the fry box says "CRISPY. HOT. CRUNCHY. GONE!" Just tried the Bacon & Avocado Thick Burger. Sure looked good in the picture but did not taste great. The hamburger patty was semi dry and lacked taste. Not even the char grilled taste. There was way too much lettuce, tomatoes and onions in it also. The guacamole tasted spicy and the bacon was just a greasy strip. One big mess! The bun could not hold up. Fell apart. I just stopped by here at noon to redeem a free $5 All-Star Box voucher I had received as part of a T-mobile Tuesday promotion. It clearly said valid for redemption through December 11th on the voucher. However both the cashier and the manager denied the voucher saying "It was only valid on Tuesday (the day it was issued)" without bothering to read the terms listed on the voucher or double checking their own internal memo. I later reached out to both T-mobile and Carl's Jr via social media who reassured me that the voucher should have been redeemed and that the employees were in the wrong. I've been too many places where they believe they're doing me a service by standing on the floor chatting with each other. These people are friendly and worked hard to get the food to us in a reasonable time. Carl's Jr. is expensive for fast food, but it's worth it. This location has a bonus--Green Burrito. It's often less expensive, especially since Carl's Jr. doesn't have the benefit of sister company Hardee's smaller and lighter menu. I said something about Green Burrito to my buddy and he said "Don't they have Red Sauce?" I wonder if a lot of people don't know that they have a pseudo Mexican menu. The Burrito Mexicano was good, with a sort of salsa added. The fries were hot enough, though not particularly fresh. (Del Taco always has me buying fries with pseudo-Mexican food now.) Whenever I go to Carls Jr to this particular, I get the Super Star With Cheese in a Lettuce Wrap, My wife and I will go to this drive through whenever we can't decide what to eat, its usually good, but the past two times there has a been a taste of mouth wash in the food. It's exactly like the taste of Scope. This was the most off putting taste and we ended up throwing away the food both times. We won't be going back to see if this happens a third time, it really made us worry that someone tampered with the food. There are enough options in Lodi to not risk it. read more

One issue...i ordered a couple of the brisket thickburgers the other day, as advertised on tv with brisket oozing out the sides. Well, I don't think there was much more than a heaping tablespoon of brisket in my sandwiches. False advertising for sure!! Carl's Jr. is pretty great for fast food in general, but we were particularly impressed when we stopped inside this location for a dine-in dinner after a day at Lake Camanche. We were tanned and tired and just wanted to get some food in us before we got home. I ordered two beef tacos (crunchy) with refried beans substituted for beef. It was a little confusing when I ordered because they also have crunchy tacos, which have no meat (2 for $1) - I could definitely see myself ordering this sometime, since they have the salsa bar and the pico de gallo could be substituted for the meat/beans, but I was a little too hungry to decline protein altogether so the beans were perfect! My husband had a $6 burger with criss-cross fries. I was staring at the sign for fried zucchini when our food arrived, and a couple minutes later I found a zucchini circle that had snuck into his fries!! I was super excited and it was delicious. The place was very clean - floors were clean, tables were clean, surfaces and area near the drink fountains were clean. We were probably the dirtiest things in there :) Roy was the person who took our order and he was very polite and assertive. He brought us our food as well, and offered us dipping sauces, which he also returned to our table. One of my tacos had almost no lettuce in it (the other one was perfect), but with refried beans inside this makes for a very dry taco, even with all the hot sauce I added. I went up to the counter and asked for more lettuce and paid less than $0.50 for a side of lettuce. It was a big box of it, even though I explained it was just for one taco. I ate it all since I paid for it, but felt like it should have been free. At drive thru, the drive thru staff tried to add additional items to my order along with stick me with 85¢ fee for avocado spread. I quickly told them I was not interested.
