Tucked away like a hidden gem, this place has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to slow down, enjoy life, and order one more cup of coffee just because. The coffee was absolutely fantastic, the vibes were perfect, and the hospitality was something you don't find every day anymore. A special thank you to Mr. Charles and the boss lady Shannon for making us feel so welcome. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Great coffee, great people, and the kind of place that reminds you that small-town charm is still alive and well. We came in as travelers and left feeling like friends. We rang the bell at the counter, only to be met by a women saying, "uh, we're closed. How did you get in?" We pointed to the side door. Her response? "Well, I can escort you out". (Wow, rude). We then asked, "do you know of another coffee house open?" Her response, "I wouldn't know" (w/ a look and tone that MORE than implied "you can go now"). Then, as we're walking out, my brother comments to her, "I like the (vintage) stereo (in the side room) where an older couple was sitting. My brother asked if they were the owners. The woman curtly replied, "That's my Dad" (with a tone that MORE than implied "what's it to you?) and with a look at the door that was so cold and rude it's hard to relay on this post. The irony? The have a HUGE mural inside that says: SERVING EVERY SIP WITH A SMILE (or something to that affect). But, maybe that's only during hours of operation.
