When you think of places to eat, unfortunately for me, I don't think of Carl's Jr. anymore... However, the most recent visit was due to the fact that I didn't want taco shop food or fried chicken or Chinese Food. So by default, I ended up at Carl's Jr. The parking lot was empty and so was the drive thru. I walked in and ordered. Within 5 minutes I had my meal. I tried their new star chicken nuggets as well as their new guacamole burger. Both were surprisingly good. I dined in. There was only one other person there... So I basically had the entire dining area to myself. The AC was on full blast, which was great since it was 100+ degrees outside. I was able to refill my drink multiple times without waiting for other customers to decide on whether or not to fill their water cup with soda lol. The place was spotless and clean. Including the restroom. The cashier and manager were super friendly. I would not hesitate to come back here again for lunch or dinner. read more

I ordered a Jalapeno Double Cheeseburger about 11:30 am before the lunch rush. I was first in line with no wait or traffic. I pull around to park to eat my lunch because God knows you can't go inside to eat, go to the bathroom, wash your hands or anything right now with this ridiculous shut-down. But you can fly in an airplane with inches between and the person next to you! The burger patty's were over cooked to begin with and were cold. I opened the sandwich and the cheese was not even melted. Were these hamburger patty's left over from their breakfast rush and now being recycled? Had they been opened in the lobby I would have taken it back for a refund and went somewhere else. The ladies that work here are the most precious people. My children love using the coupons for their specials and they told me to bring in any coupon any time for a deal even if the coupon is expired. The food is high qualify for the price and all the scary things about fast food places tend to not exist here. I haven't been to Carl's since my friend worked there years ago. I'm glad I came by a few months ago and its been great since. I recommend the Big Carl because its the best sandwich they have, and the chicken stars for little ones. The toy in the kids meal isn't stupid, either, its an actual functional object that doesn't get thrown into a dumpster immediately. Good job Carls Junior in Fallbrook. For a non junkfood junky, this establishment actually surprised me. I don't eat fastfood, by any means, but I decided to break my healthy eating lifestyle to interrogate this local Carl's Jr. establishment. Upon walking into here, I immediately noticed the attention that was placed on presentation and cleanliness. The place was spotless and I couldn't find any trash anywhere. There was spacious dining and although there was only 2 groups dining-in, I could tell you could bring a big family here and still have great seating. The service was interesting. It was friendly and yet timid at the same time. That's probably because I came in playing rap music on my iPhone and I did this intentionally to see how they would react to it. Not much to my surprise, the attendant was prompt and friendly and when I asked for his opinion on the menu, his superior promptly jumped-in and encouraged me with her ratings. It was great service and probably was a new hirey that I dealt with and all went well. Ordered over $25 worth of binge food and was on my way; but not before I interrogated the restrooms. They were clean and spotless, with the only flaw of not having a mirror. That's okay, because for in this location I expected much worse. Didn't disappoint!! read more

Wow! This place is filthy Dirty inside! Your shoes stick to the floors and behind the service counter we saw dirt and food with napkins laying on the ground right in sight of all the employees. The little gal behind the counter had her uniform all covered in food with stains and buttoned up crooked. We really wanted to walk out and leave. We ordered chicken strips only for the kids and left as quick as we could. We would not have done this but we felt they were deep fried so they would be one of the only safe items to eat. I can't even explain my disgust with these people right now. I will be calling to speak with a manager tomorrow when I have had time to calm down. These literal idiots.... I come and buy nearly $40 worth of food for my family, the girl at the window quickly hands the drinks to me like she is busy (nobody behind me in line) and before I could even get them to the passenger's seat one cup completely falls out upside down on my seat. She sees and hears me struggling trying to get to my seatbelt and the drinks in order and says "here sir, your receipt and straws" 3 separate times just watching me struggle after I asked for napkins to soak up this pool of soda in my seat. She disappears, meanwhile I have to take off my sweatshirt to try to soak it all up. Minutes later, (the girl never came back....) the equally useless guy comes up to the window and sees me frantically trying to clean up my car ($2,000 racing seats...JUST SAYING) I ask him for napkins or something to clean up this mess, he disappears and comes back with not just napkins in his hands but my food bags, I have to find the napkins myself and then an extra 5 napkins in another hand for a whole large drink that is ALL over my seat. I told myself I would never be the guy who freaks out in front of everybody and this tested every last one of my nerves and I will never spend a penny here again just over this alone. BUT WAIT! There's MORE! I get home, less than 2 miles away and my order is wrong, after them asking me to repeat myself 3 times including at the window and then all the food is cold. EPiC! Carl's Jr. Corprate needs really look at the customer experiences here. I should have read the reviews before I came here and after reading them I am not surprised with my visit. The employees here need to pay attention to detail. I ordered the beyond BBQ Cheeseburger and it came out with bacon, which is no big deal, I just asked them to make another one, but instead it literally came back to me in less than a minute. They just took off the bacon and reserved. WTF! My wife also ordered her burger with no pickles and of course, it came to her with pickles. WOW! This place was not even busy, but the restrooms were not stocked with hand towels. How do the employees wash their hands after using the restroom? I have been here so many times. There aren't a lot of choices in Fallbrook so we usually get Carl's once a month. The staff are always rude. The food is always overcooked or cold or in today's case, both. They can never seem to line up the bun with the patty and cheese. The meat is always hanging off the bun. They either drown the burger in sauce or use a drip. No in between. My burger today was cold, chewy and dry. If you want a good burger, go elsewhere. This was the last straw for me. read more

Felt really bad afterwords, and I'm pretty sure it was food poisoning. 3rd time here, got a 1/2 lb western thick burger. Got a normal western burger, with barely anything on it. 1 piece of bacon, and a VERY small drop of bbq. They charged me for the thick burger. Do not go here. It is a waste of your money, and you would be more satisfied with rice cakes. Second review in 3 days for fast food bugger joint. Now, Carl's Jr. Is what is and their burgers are pretty tasty. Every now and then you get a bun that can be less than desirable, or some limp frys. And nobody likes a limp fry. 10:00pm on a Monday night and I'm starving. Drove up to the menu machine and was greeted in a polite sort of way, nothing to over the top and fake, just a guy doing his job. Still managed to charge me but no I didn't receive when I had payed for. I was very shocking to hear the supervisor at Fallbrook Carls argue with the customer and basically calling her a liar. I heard the customer say she had previously called in to let them know it was missing before she went back. Yep, could hear all of this while I was sitting in my car waiting to get my food. I finally got out of my car and told did Carl's supervisor it was unprofessional to argue with the customer about the missing food item, especially while she has customers waiting and stuck behind this car. I ordered fried chicken salad to go for my lunch. I thought the salad was good until I saw pink on a chicken piece I started to bite. I used to work graveyard shift at the cvs right next to it and would come by on my lunch break every night and get the same exact double western bacon FRESH and i would get exactly what I asked! This was a year or two ago though. I went by some random night around 1 recently and decided to give it try again so I ordered what I always do but of course added if they could make the meat, bacon and onion rings fresh. Instantly the girl taking my order laughs and said yea sure sir no problem in a snobbyy way. It takes around 5-7min to complete a fresh burger (I know this because I used to get it every night for months before) and she comes back within 2-3 min and gave me whatever the hell they had sitting there for hours.
