Warm day in El Centro - ordered in drive through lane 2 iced teas. Pulled up to the window and watched the attendant struggling with the ice machine for my drink. Finally she shoved her fingers (same ones that have been handling dirty money all day and who knows what else) into the ice machine spout to release the ice cubes. Instead of using a sanitary kitchen tool - even a plastic straw, she shoves her dirty fingers into the spout! Saw this and drove off. I am sure she's wondering where and why I left. read more

Dropped to 3.5/5 stars overall: My first visit was much better 4/5stars. Maybe the food was being made fresh because it was used up. Today was a 3/5 stars at best. Averaging it, makes it a 3.5/5 stars overall. Hope it raises back up next time. Today's visit: Did a bunch of shopping today; trying new stores to see what they have. We needed some lunch so decided to do something quick. Hubs wanted to try Burger King, but they were closed temporarily (luckily, bc the reviews were horrible). So, Carl's Jr. was the next on the list so we stopped there. I was more hopeful since we had tried it before and it was a better fast food. We were there late today so it was not busy at all. Hubs ordered the Famous Star meal with fries and a drink. I got the 3 chicken tenders, which are usually good. The burger was pretty good, the fries were good but the chicken tenders were over cooked. I should have gone back up but didn't. I ate 2 and was done. The Buffalo dipping sauce helped add some moisture but still not good. Our first visit: They were fairly busy when we came in and let a couple go ahead of us in line since we didn't know the menu. They have a decent variety with burritos, casadillas, chicken tenders and sandwiches as well as the expected burgers. Even the burgers can come with jalapeño or pineapple. Hubs ordered he Star Combo#1 for $5. It came with a Super Star, medium size hot dog, fries, drink and a cookie. I just got the Zucchini. The burger was very good, the hot dog good, the fries fresh from the deep fryer were very good too. Even the cookie was pretty good. I was happy to find that the zucchini is still good too. We had leftovers. How many times do you hear that from a fast food place. The zucchini and cookie will be warmed at home for another time. I would recommend this Carl's Jr. Our cashier was very nice and helpful and even brought the food out to us on a tray. Not sure why the rating was so low or if the place improved a lot. Or if expectations were just out of range. It's fast food-not gourmet. But it was quite good food for an excellent value. read more

I love carls jr and haven't been here in about a year. Today, about an hour ago i purchased 30.00 worth of food. Included two famous star burgers without cheese. I was so disappointed when i realized they gave me a burger with the cheese scraped off the top. I had eaten almost half before Realizing it tastes awful, I had bit into a clammy piece of cheese which i find disgusting and do not tolerate well. Very disappointed, and the fried zucchini tasted like burnt grease. My recommendation: do not buy fried zucchini here. Dbl check tour order, we pay good money for quality service and food. read more

Order took almost an hour to arrive after being ordered through Postmates. Burger was not as ordered, and the lettuce looked absolutely gross! Crisscut Fries were cold and soggy, definitely not hot and crispy. They compensated for one burger, and one order of Crisscut Fries (not the 2 we ordered) because they were not to blame for it taking so long or the fries being soggy. After all, how are they to know where the Postmates driver goes when they leave the store? I won't order for delivery again. read more

Kids love this play area. Gets them tired. Good music playing. Staff brings you the food, which is great-especially if the kids run to the playground and you don't want to leave them unattended. Overall good customer service. Food is descent. read more

I was in the Imperial Valley on business and was starving. As a vegan options are hard to find in the valley. I figured Carl's Jr. is a safe bet. I've had the Beyond Famous Star at other locations and wanted one today. I got off and the cashier was super nice and friendly and when I ordered she asked if I wanted cheese and may which was nice. I was glad she already knew to ask if someone wanted it fully vegan. Food was hot and service was efficient and with super friendly service. read more

Incompetence is the first word that comes to mind. The bathrooms were awful. When we decided to just do the drive thru and go they got our order wrong and my husband had to go back in for ketchup. This place has one of the best play areas in town! My daughter loves to play around here. It has multiple levels, and there is even a door to the whole area so your child can't take off too quickly. There are tables for the parents to sit or eat as well. Food is usually pretty good, I get the chicken tenders for my daughter & they are always made right then. It takes a few minutes, but at least they haven't sat under a lamp for an hour. read more
