Thank you for being a part of the Dixon community. I have loved you for 22 years. Thank you for always being dedicated to great service and a clean restaurant. Was sad to not have a playground for my grandkids but you'll always be our go to burger joint

Customer service was great but they protein styled my food twice . Messed up my order three times, and still managed to get my order wrong.

It said promo, I hope it stays

The place is clean, the service was efficient and friendly. I tried the Beyond burger( it makes me happy that as a vegetarian I can have some protein.this beyond burger seemed tastier than the Burger King incredible burger. Anyway, I would have this meal again.

I was eating my hash browns one by one. When I noticed this great big ball of lint that was fried into the hash brown. Gross!!!

I was eating my hash browns one by one because I like to look at my food when I eat it. To my surprise, there was huge ball of lint fried into the hash brown. I added the photo. It looks like it was a remanent of a nylon sponge that they used to clean the fryer. Still gross and disgusting!!!!

We got there right at opening and the server/hostess, Aurora, greeted us with a warm smile and welcome. There are two choices of spots to sit at - low tables/booths or high top tables with stools. We opted for a low table. I ordered the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries and my friend ordered the Chinichurri Tri-Tip sandwich with a side salad. When our meals came out, we were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes! I feel like I had a lot of fries on my plate and the sandwich was stuffed with meat! The side salad and tri-tip was pretty hefty too. My sandwich was DELICIOUS! I was only able to eat half so I left with half for lunch the next day. My friend was the same. I love when I can get two meals out of one!! The restaurant carries a very fun vibe. I can imagine it is so lively when it is packed! There is an area in the back that gives off a speakeasy vibe. Overall, awesome restaurant! Great food, awesome service and chill vibe.

The Cowboy Cuban is the next best thing I've found on the menu and worth ordering. The house dressing is excellent too. The Down the Hatch burger was decent, just didn't have quite enough flavor for my taste -- not a reason to skip the place, but I'd go Cowboy Cuban first. Love coming with the dog when weather permits.

They did not come around to the table very often which was ok till we were waiting for our check. My friend caught her eye and she said she'd be right back. Over 20 minutes later I went up to her at the register and said we need to get going. Her response was I gave your ticket to....and she stalled and , I responded with to who? She then said it that was table whatever. She basically accused me of having an attitude since I got there. We had separate checks since I'm in a company card and can't do alcohol in it. When she came back she handed us the wrong cards . Turns out, she did run the right meals on the right card but obviously my first thought was she didn't. I asked my friend if I was bitchy because I was really tired and was told I was not. Trust me, they wouldn't lie. I tried calling to talk to the manager and guess who it was? Yeah, don't bother

We had the short ribs as Chef's special and it was delicious and tender. You don't need a steak knife. We also got the Jambalaya pasta and the spice is just about right! Plenty protein in that plate. I'd say - there was even amount of pasta and protein so I would say it was worth your money. I like the place being casual and cozy. The idea of separating the bar from the dining area is good. Was nice that there is outdoor seating as well. Small city parking may be a challenge when it gets busy but who doesn't like to walk a little after hearty meal, huh? This would be nice place to bring good friends for a nice dinner or just a quick catch up afternoon liquid refreshments. They also have 4 tv at the bar area. Must be great during sports watching! Though near the 80, Ruhstaller Farm is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There's no conspicuous signage. It's easily possible to drive right by & never know what's here. & yet, the few times I've been here, generally later on a Friday or Saturday night, it's obvious that Ruhstaller Farm is the busiest place for many miles around in any direction. It's somewhat puzzling to me. Add in the idyllic bucolic vibes, & this place feels is a bit surreal to me. There's something about the frolicking farm ambiance here that reminds me of the Aliki Farms skit from the 1st episode Portlandia.* So how do I know about Ruhstaller Farm? A friend I homebrewed with for years lives in Dixon. Being beer nerds enough to brew it ourselves, we'd stumbled across Ruhstaller beers a long time ago. That early stuff was rough. The beers pouring now at Ruhstaller Farm are definitely a drastic improvement. The bar staff has always been friendly. & really, this is a nice place to relax & enjoy a beer. But that's it. I'll come through once in a while & have a beer or 2. I'm not staying. No matter how much anyone might say they'd love me to stay, & I'm absolutely not putting on a frilly dress. *https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If41cZMBgqA

At the register or at 1 of 2 kiosks. There is plenty of inside seating with a small outdoors patio dining area. We ordered: Lemon/Pepper Wings (Large $18.99) - really crispy and juicy. Good size wings. Good flavor. We got ours with Ranch... note, the dressing was a bit on the watery side. Crispy onion ($6.99) - extremely crispy crust... cannot even taste the onion. If you like fried batter, this is for you. Goes well with the Ranch dressing. I got the chili onion burger ($11.99). Messy as heck...decided to go the civilized route... ate it with a knife and for...saving the top bun to mop up any leftover chili. Love the raw white onions and cheese on top. Good flavor, bean to beef ratio is pretty good. Bathrooms are located past the video games... mens room on the right and women's room to the left. Men's room had only 1 sink/ 2 urinals and 2 stalls. They were out of soap when we were there. Room was spacious and clean. The restrooms appeared to be shared by both the bar and restaurant.

Every good place is…read moreselling out to giant conglomerates who make every restaurant just like every other so we are stuck with mediocrity across every brand. Habit sold out to YUM brands in 2020. The goal for the company that also owns KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut was to make money in CHINA. So instead of a cool, beachy, California burger place, Habit is now just another logo. We all get the same crap food everywhere with a different logo. We cannot emphasize strongly enough how tiny they've made their burgers. They look bigger in our picture than they actually were. They don't taste anything like they used to. We walked into this location after a long drive with two hours still ahead of us. There were two occupied tables that already had their food. We stood there for TEN minutes without anyone saying one word or acknowledging our presence. They looked at us but said nothing. As we stood at the counter, a woman came out of what we think was the bathroom. She had to walk right next to us to go behind the counter. We're thinking "oh good, the front counter person is here". Nope. She walked right by us, made a U-turn around the counter, and headed into a back office. Remember, we had been in our car for several hours. We didn't mind standing. We walked into the store and up to the counter. After 15 minutes of standing there, one of us looked behind us and to the left (closer to the seating area) and said "oh I guess we're supposed to order over there?". Still no contact from the crew. Blank millennial stares. We ordered at the kiosks in the seating area and started looking for a table. They were all covered in either grease, crumbs, pieces of food, or stickiness. We went to the counter to grab a handful of napkins to wipe off a table and a guy behind the counter walked near us. We asked if they had a bus towel or something we could use to clean a table. The only reason for two stars is this guy finally smiled and was pleasant, in at least a retail way. He grabbed a towel walked with us to a table, wiped it and we had a nice wet table top which we then dried with our handful of napkins. As he turned away he said "sorry about that" and we started to say "that's ok thanks for your help", but as soon as we started to say that it was clear he was talking on his headset to a drive through customer. So we're all just cogs in the Yum brands corporate machine One of the last "good" burger places in California is now dead forever. A rotting corpse of a once promising brand to be used and wrung out for every penny Yum brands can get until they spin it off or shut it down or move it to "Asia". Zombie workers kill time for money at their dead end positions, pleasing a manager who is doing the same. All of them biding time until Yum brands figures out how to crank out corporate "food" without any workers at all. Good bye Habit. You used to be good. Your new owners can't even maintain the pepper and condiment bar.
