This location is great, the food is top quality at this Carl's jr. I ordered 4/2/2026 at 4:42pm and my food was fresh and hot, no issues with the order at all. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to returning soon. As well, the staff was courteous and friendly. Thanks! read more

This location has some bad reviews. But my experience is always been good. I don't go in the restaurant. And I rarely eat fast food but occasionally, I'll stop for breakfast if I'm tight for time. The woman in the morning that handles a drive-through, a Hispanic lady is one of the nicest ladies I've ever met in a drive-through. She's always happy to see me. She always hustle to get the order done and she always has a positive big smile. She actually makes me wanna go back just to see her and say hi. Not sure why the reviews are bad but When it comes to the drive-through in the morning with that, very nice lady, I give them five stars. read more

We came here for the first time for a quick bite this month. The food was good. I got the western burger combo with an oreo shake. The service was great, the lady at the register answered all my questions. She even brought the food to us kindly. The ambiance was quiet at the time we came so surprisingly it was peaceful. read more

Carl's Jr - Charbroiled Chicken Club Sandwich Combo and Single Western Bacon Cheeseburger Combo - Fast Food Near Me - Chula Vista, California

Came here today around 11pm to get a quick bit to eat. Ordered the big Carl meal for my husband and the chicken club meal for myself. It was different because they had an automated system taking our order so we were joking about that. The system got the order right on the screen so we had no issue there. We get to the window and the girl hands us the drinks first then a bag of food. Before completely taking off, I had my husband check to make sure there were 2 sandwiches and 2 fries. Did not notice the discrepancy until when got home and were ready to eat. My husband's order was correct but mines was another story. I ordered a large fry and they looked small to me but the big issue was the sandwich. They gave me a bacon western!!! Like wtf I ordered chicken not beef. Kinda irritated that they got it wrong. Next time I'll have him pull them both all the way out the bag because this is BS. read more

9:30 pm.. 10/3/25...I ordered a double el diablo with tomato and eggs. I got a single beef patty instead of 2. I came back to have them put an 2nd beef patty. They did not. I came back for a third time and showed them a 2nd beef patty was not place in the burger. Laura, a worker there, said they did as she saw it. I kept showing them, they did not. I even opened the burger and showed them there is no 2nd beef patty!!!!!!Laura denied to remake a correct burger. She said '" no more meat." She said to comeback tomorrow and talk the Manager. That's a poor customer service. I will definitely go back tomorrow and speak to the Manager about this experience!!!! Update: Today, 10/4/25 at 11:00 am, I spoke to the Manager to voice my concern. He said will talk to Laura and the night crew. Apparently, I assume that is the solution, instead of giving a free burger or something. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE TEAM LEADER NAMED SHARAI ... I walked in with cruches as I am a disabled person, and I had to use the restroom after going through the drive-through. SHARAI didn't believe that I had gone through the drive-through so she didn't give me the code to the restroom being a disabled person I had to walk back to the car to get the proof of it, then walk back into the store. There was a young man who heard the whole altercation going on when I was in disbelief that she made me go back to the being disabled to get the proof that I was a customer here the guy felt bad for me and gave me the code after he ordered his food. He said that was unbelievable. I feel bad for this franchise that this woman is the leader she needs to be demoted and have a little bit of customer service interactions practice. Literally I don't know if she's gonna spit in my food or not. She should not be any kind of leader with that behavior. read more

Carl's Jr - Proof of purchase - Fast Food Near Me - Chula Vista, California

horrible service. the lady at the window who took our payment was rude and she was speaking to us like she was in a rush (they were not closing when we ordered and there was only a car in front and behind us). we found that they did not include an order of star nuggets that came with the meal we ordered, which could have been an easy mistake. what was the absolute worst was that i had ordered a build your own bag and chose the california classic cheeseburger, to find out after taking a bite that they never added a patty inside. we could have double checked the bag before leaving and noticed the nuggets missing, but who on earth checks each burger before leaving. i guess with this location you sure have to. never coming back here again, in n out is worth the wait. read more

Woooowww!!! What a great service!!! The restaurant it's excellent super clean and the bathroom too!!! The service was great!!!! On the counter, was a great lady named Edith, she was very friendly and helpful with our order and we ate at the restaurant and Mrs. Edith , even brought our food order to our table!! Thanks Edith!! She was restocking everything on the drinking fountain and helping everyone with great manners. Good service from this Carl's Jr restaurant. Thanks read more

I Tried to buy me and my cousin some food at 10:26pm and all of their lights were on and the open sign was still lit. Online and on apple maps its says that this and all other Carls Jr. Locations close at midnight (12 am) All their doors were closed so I knocked on the door and a guy just stared at me and gave me a look. He then used his hand to signal "no" so I walked away and saw another worker walking back towards the resteraunt, I then asked If I could walk through the drive through since there were absolutely no cars and he gave me a huge attitude and told me that they are closed. I then stated that online it says they dont close till 12 and he continued to walk away and say "we are still closed" If you still have 2 workers on the premises fully in uniform and a huge sign on the window saying "OPEN LATE" in all caps and bold you probably should stay open late. read more

Lunch mid week dead place so you won't have to wait behind people at least. Went with my usually and put together really well. Superstar didn't fall apart the second I set it down. Carl's Jr - Superstar add bacon - Fast Food Near Me - Chula Vista, California

Well, I learned to give everyone chance in life regardless if what people say But indeeeee This has to be the worst carls jr in san diego county! The fries for some odd reason were over cooked and tasted nasty. The lettuce in my superstar were basically black and bad , the sandwich was very soggy it was aweful! The reviews are right No wonder i never see anyone at that place! They all go to chick filet next door! Avoid the place Also this is to the owner: might as well close the place down and give a chance for other business to better serve otay ranch bro read more

Edith the drive thru lady that's old cranky and rude is definitely the worst one there. Idk how she's still employed. She's unpleasant and when you say thank you or attempt to greet her you're met with silence. And from scanning reviews is see she's like this to everyone. The App is very frustrating to use and is further complicated by her indifference and inability/ unwillingness to be helpful. Carls Jr has deals and coupons that can only be accessed in certain regions and also complicates matters by requiring with any instructions in the app that you pre order a deal rather than using a code at the window. I wouldn't be shocked or surprised if Carls Jr goes out of business. This location is never busy but the employees inside leave a lot to be desired when it comes to customer service especially Edith. She is nothing but rude and needs to be put out to pasture. Get a personality Edith it'd go along way. Zero stars would not even be appropriate the way you're treated at this location. read more

Rude! There is a way to tell customers sauces are extra. And that was never the policy I knew You don't say "I already gave you two" instead of asking if we would like to purchase additional. Drive thru! That's why this place has 1 1/2 stars! Haven't gone to their Carl's in forever and will never be returning! Carl's Jr - Side of bbq for a 3 piece tenders - Fast Food Near Me - Chula Vista, California

This place man..so frustrating. The food is whatever it's Carl's Jr. hit or miss...what makes me mad is there's this little old white lady who wears glasses kinda short always looks down or away never directly in your eyes. She is the BIGGEST most selfish person when it's comes the sauces!!! I ordered a western bacon combo upsized to medium. When I get my order, I ask for ranch and ketchup. This lady goes and gives me one ranch and ONE ketchup!! What kind of place gives u only one packet of ketchup?? I wasn't even one of those 2 for 3 deal customers. I ask the lady for more sauce and she says she can't give me anymore. I ask her why and She said I quote " if I give u more there won't be any left for the other customers" OMG I was shocked she said that and just drove off.. Not the first time she's done this to me either. If u come here u know which lady I'm talking about. read more

The new AI order machine is stupid. Messed up the order. But what can you expect. Won't be coming here anymore. Even the robots are trash.

$3.49 burgers don't look like the commercials that advertise them!!!! They are dinky and sloppily made. I ordered the jalapeno burger. It was really small, the patties were stuck together and looked like one anemic thin pattie. Unacceptable!!! False advertising. I mean, everyone knows they always never come the way it's advertised, but this is ridiculous and quite frankly outright outrageous!!! I should have taken a photo of my burger, but was on my way to work and had to eat. NEVER AGAIN!! Why has businesses lost that customer service loyalty of serving you right!! The buck doesn't get you anything anymore!! Should've known better at that price and it's fast food. Nevertheless, no excuse for false advertising and quality of food and presentation!! Mind you, l am talking about ALL Carl's juniors. Not one particular location. read more

I ordered the Oreo shake during happy hour, and it was so good!! Should of ordered 2!!!

I like their chicken tenders. The last time I tried it, the chicken was pretty thick and juicy. It was also seasoned well. The service is good. My siblings likes their double cheese burger. The fries are good as well. read more

Very bad customer service . I went in to get my free hamburger on Feb 12,2024 at 7:00pm. I downloaded the app and I went in and showed the employee Emma my app and she didn't care to even look at it .She right away said I don't have an order for a hamburger and I asked her nicely I have to order the free hamburger on the app and her back turned towards me (very rude)said yes and I told her if she could help me and she rudely said I don't know how . The place was not busy .I was the only person in line so there is no excuse for her actions . A nice and helpful employee that was there started to help me with the order unfortunately she couldn't find the rewards for the free hamburger . She asked Emma if she could give me the hamburger and she said she didn't know . The nice lady also told Emma that she was no help several times . The lady went ahead and gave me the hamburger . Emma should be taught how to treat customers. Now I know why a lot of people rather go to the Carl's Jr on H st . Ill be doing the same thing now on . read more

H st management not up to American high standard of service. Extremely rude bad mouthed staff and management

I really wish I had looked at yelp before I went there, but I guess that's the only way they stay open. I grab some food on the way home from work not having much time to cook. I order a large combo and a burger. Get home and boy was I disappointed. Friends box was half full and my burger feels like it was sitting on a counter for a few hours. It as cold to the touch like my fries. Really wish I had decided to grab some fries like usual on the way home. Then I hopefully might have noticed how cold they were before driving 20 min home. Well I doubt Carl's jr gives a flying F, but for the love of his don't do here. It's not worth it. read more

Famous star with no pickles please!!! This location is moderately busy!!! The cashiers here are extremely rude. My order was correct on the screen but not correct in the bag. I told the rude a** cashier and she responded with, didn't you check the screen. Hello?!!! Did u check the screen?!!! Because my ordered was bagged incorrectly. If you don't like your job, quit. You work in a customer service position, if you don't have customer service skills, get another job. FYI- Carl's Jr. don't hire teenagers. Normally, I do enjoy their food. However, this famous star is horrible. Very sloppy made. It had several pieces are hard white lettuce pieces and 1 slice of overly ripe tomato slice. Yuck. The super star and western burger are my favorites. I will continue to support Carl's Jr. however I will never be returning to this particular location. read more

The Beyond Burger is sooo good! The restaurant is pretty empty, looks like there's not much business going on, but I have no complaints!

Terrible customer service. I order a combo and the french fry order was sub standard. I was told by Edwin the shift manager that if I want better fries I should order a larger order. I requested a refund and was refused. At 6:30pm this location only had 2 customers seated, while the Chick-fil-a next store was packed with hungry patrons...no wonder. read more

I should of known once I checked in & got the "Maverick" badge for being dangerous & checking in on low rated places, that this experience was gonna end bad. Well Yelp was right, today I earned my "Maverick" badge. You can tell the oil for the fries needed to be change & they hardly gave me fries & my cheese was not melted on my burger it was cold & the top of the bun greasy. The service was slow & the lobby was dirty, it was slow & late at night so it should of been clean. I really like Carl's JR. but I'll try a different location next time. 2 stars it is. Go to Chick Filet next door it's good, & best of all you'll get NO "Maverick" badge there. read more

Terrible customer service, late night drive thru, it's not our fault your miserable at your job. Rude!!!

Rude workers, I had ordered 3 items and when she handed me my bag I looked inside my bag to make sure I had everything and she smacked her lips and closed the door like if I was wasting her time. I realized I didn't have all my items and knocked on the window said hey I don't have my chicken tenders. She said you didn't order that and I said yes I did and she yelled another girls name and came back with my chicken tenders . This place has really gone down hill. Went with the family and ordered 4 meals. One protein style and I get it with half of it wrapped in black lettuce. When we asked for 2 extra packets of ranch we were told no. My husband asked for 2 more packages again and the told him they would charge him .25 a piece. We weren't asking for an excessive amount.. Funny at other Carl Jr. They give them to us. Wouldn't be surprised to see this place shut down. read more

This Carl's is never open at night, especially when you're craving a double western bacon smh

Alright so I showed up to this Carl's Jr. With the fam this morning and despite being told to wait for my food in front while two other cars came out of the drive thru I continued to give them the benefit of the doubt. But getting my food I was disgusted at the amount of energy put into my order. We had soggy hash browns and French fries, salty onion rings, and not to mention the chicken stars looked like they were barely cooked. It's not often I choose to eat at a fast food chain but damn I wasn't expecting this out here in Otay Ranch. They fail to put the cashiers name on the receipt, over charged me for dipping sauce ( my daughter likes ranch and bbq, and my husband likes honey mustard and ranch on his so of course we needed extra), the soda was flat and I know I asked for extra napkins but really homegirl I don't need 1/4 of the sleeve of napkins yo. $30 for really bad customer service and terrible food that we tossed out. This place is the worst!!!! They f#%* you in the drive through!!! Ordered a famous star with cheese no tomatoes, now I normally check my food, but I was in the midst of unwrapping my burger to see if it was right, when I got distracted by the fact that they gave me fried zucchini instead if onion rings...So I went inside, the lady at the counter didn't apologize, just grabbed them out of hands and threw them away! I got my onion rings and left. I get home, unwrap my burger, and there's no meat!!! Just tomatoes and lettuce!! What the hell! I tried calling but it finally picked up after numerous attempts and I was on speaker and no one answered me. This place is a joke! And they get paid over $10 an hour? If I can give 0 stats I would.
