We also received the wrong sauces. I asked for water with no ice and it was filled with ice. Before getting ready to leave, I ordered an ice cream ahead of time. I really used to love eating at Chick-fil-A. I probably ate there 3-4 times a week until recently. The food is good, customer service is exceptional and the restaurant itself is clean and well kept. I loved their salads and would order them on a regular basis. However, over the last month, the quality has declined. The portion of lettuce has become noticeably skimpy. The container used to look full, but lately it looks half empty. The lettuce is very sparse now compared with what it used to be. It feels like I'm paying the same price for a much smaller portion. It's a sneaky, but very common way for businesses to offset rising costs. This is definitely poor business ethics. Customers know when they're paying more but getting less. It's a practice that damages trust and loyalty in the long run. The franchise might save some money in the short term, but it risks losing loyal customers, like myself, who feel undervalued. This is a deal breaker for me. I've really enjoyed ordering salads at this restaurant in the past, but I think I'll save my money and just stick to making my own salads at home. The food is what you expect from Chick-fil-A, and the line isn't typically as long as other locations, which is something that has surprised me so far. This location isn't my favorite, but it's the closest to my home. The food is fine but it takes forever. I usually try to avoid it due to poor prior experiences especially when it comes to mobile order. I always gave them the benefit of the doubt because it's a newer location, busy ,and someone eventually would come out with my order. I waited over an hour this past visit. I'm a very patient person if you can't tell, but my husband got down after the first 25 min. The worker told them they didn't have our order in the system and just ignored him, so then I got down. By the time we finally got someone to actually acknowledge us and look for our order in their system it had been over 45 min. I straight up asked for a refund and my food. The website says mobile order disputes need to be resolved at the location and I had already given this ordeal too much time so I couldn't just leave. I wasn't nearly as upset as other patrons that were also complaining because I understood they're busy and mostly high school age kids. The manager who finally assisted didn't argue on the refund, but she rolled her eyes and all she said "we'll see". After another couple minutes she comes over says my food will be come out soon and hands me the receipt for my refund. The workers were snickering between themselves about us where we could clearly hear and see them. I guess they assumed we didn't speak Spanish but we understood everything they were saying. Be Fr we're in San Ysidro almost everyone speaks/understands Spanish. As someone who also works in service, I could care less they were talking about us, it's natural to react, but do that in the break room or kitchen away from customers, not where we can see and hear you. All I wanted was my food and they were making it seem like we were the problem. After over an hour we finally got our food. It honestly felt like they just wanted us to grow impatient and leave. Maybe other chick fil a locations have spoiled us with great service and I don't expect them to be perfect, but this one just missed the mark completely. I am writing a review as the service aspect of this franchise has been a great experience. I have dealt with all levels of management at this location from the family owners to the mid level shift supervisors on several occasions. My daughter, as class officer for her school, had chik fil a requests for multiple school events with a limited class budget and each and every time, the management has worked with us to get large quantity catering orders to meet the needs of the school and children, within a set budget and expedite and deliver on the orders seamlessly with a smile. The staff is friendly and hospitable and the food is on par with every other Chick-fil-A. My issue is that if you by chance walk inside and order you are clearly the very last priority in being served. It takes about a quarter of the time it takes walking in to get your food through the Mobile thru option. So highly suggest using the Mobile thru option on the app. read more
