    Crispy Roll
    Maya C.

I ordered takeout from Palm Thai and found the food to be just okay -- not bad, but not especially memorable either. We ordered a variety of items to sample the menu, including the Spicy Basil Fried Rice, Drunken Noodles, Crispy Rolls, Chicken Wings, Cheesy Crab, and Potstickers. The fried rice, noodles and wings were decent, though could have used a bit more flavor. The highlights for us were the potstickers, which we enjoyed. Unfortunately, the crispy rolls and cheesy crab were a disappointment and not something we would order again. Overall, if I were to order again, I'd stick with the noodles or fried rice. It wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't really stand out.

I have been coming for two years now. In addition to the chicken wings and curries I love the cucumber salad! Food and service are consistently great.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A nice place in an average strip mall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is stellar and my boyfriend said his drunken noodles was amazing. My curry was so yummy other than the potatoes were near raw and inedible. Give it a try the food and people are great.

    Pad Thai with tofu

FOOD Pad Thai with tofu (rating 5/5)- it's a classic dish and they hit it exactly. The vegetables were fresh and the tofu was great. I had it at a spice level 1 and it was perfect! *not shown* Thai Tea. 5/5. I love it! I just wish there was a recipe without Red dye 40 but overall, I could drink this tea daily. PARKING 5/5- can always find parking since it's a shared lot. CLEANLINESS [[HIGHLIGHT]]5/5 - it's always really clean there. Tables are bussed and trash isn't on the ground.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] AMBIANCE [[HIGHLIGHT]]welcoming vibes with the flowers - makes me miss Thailand. They have tables for couples, 4 seats and larger groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] SERVICE 5/5- whether I get me food to-go or eat it there, they are pretty fast and the food servings are large.

First timer and liked it so much came back two days later! Loved my Thai tea with coconut milk, very large cup. I loved my tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce. Drunk noodles were okay , tried with combo and another time with just shrimp. I loved the yellow curry with mock duck, as my favorite. We also tried the cashew nut stir fry combo and that was very good. I would definitely come back. Service was friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is great to come and eat with family or order to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Green curry and panang curry

This place is truly a hidden gem! So happy to have found this place just a 15-minute drive from home in Chula Vista. Parking is easy, as its located inside a strip mall. As soon as you come in, you are greeted by the hostess/server. She sat us right away. We ordered two kinds of curry (green and panang), drunken noodles with beef, and the chicken wings. It was a lot of food for 3 people, portions are really generous. Food quality is excellent. We asked for level 1 spice and it was perfect for us. My personal favorites were the green curry and the drunken noodles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also, the place has ample of seating and looks really clean overall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We're always greeted by the friendly staff when we walk in. My husband and I stop in pretty much every Thursday, because it's conveniently close to where our daughter trains. The restaurant is small and cozy. You can either order at the counter or from the table. They do a 1-5 spice level, but could always ask for the chili caddy if you're up for more heat. My go-to is always pad thai tofu, but we've also had their yellow curry, yum woon sen, tom kha soup, garlic pepper beef and some tum. All of which is tasty and spicy! As the other reviews stated, they serve their food on paper plates, which isn't an issue for us. It's all about the food for me. Parking is in a shared lot, but there are plenty of open spots.

Quick and easy, definitely hit the spot for Thai food cravings in the IB/Palm area! I came in on a Sunday evening and ordered some drunken noodles, extra chicken to-go. Employees were very nice and attentive. I waited about 10 minutes for my order. The portion of noodles is HUGE! It was a hefty package. But definitely glad I got extra chicken, normal amount would not have been enough.

We were lucky and were able to grab the spot right out front. For drinks we each ordered a cocktail. It did take a bit for them to come out but once they did you can tell time and effort were put into making them. They were beautiful and all tasted great. We ordered 4 dishes to share, the wasabi scallop ceviche, crispy baby crab, braised beef panang, and crab fried rice. The ceviche was definitely one of my favorites. Super flavorful, fresh, with the perfect amount of wasabi. The crispy baby crab was savory and easy to eat, especially since you're eating the whole crab, shell and all. The curry in the braised beef panang was so addicting, I couldn't stop eating it. The crab fried rice was tasty and filling. For dessert we got the mango sticky rice. The mangoes were fresh and sweet. Overall pretty standard but still yummy. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive. All the food came out in the timely manner. The vibe of the restaurant is casual but can be a little dressy for a nice date. Overall I definitely recommend a try here. Beautiful presentation with all the food and drinks while still being delicious.

We got the Taro Fritters, Bangkok street noodles, pork sausage, and the chicken wings. The highlight of the dinner were the chicken wings!! They were so flavorful and crispy, I cannot recommend them enough. The taro fritters were a close second, the tamarind sauce was also a highlight of my dinner experience. Service was quick + amiable, and the inside of Sovereign was clean and inviting. The decor is dark and moody, with live plants throughout the establishment. Parking is metered & limited, but definitely worth the hassle.

Place is quite dim, decor is beautiful with real plants, & some local vendor items for sale by the entrance. The menu is front & back so a lot of delicious choices, but I wasn't feeling too hungry so my friend and I just shared dishes. We ordered the sausage fried rice and the chef special basil stir-fry with crispy pork (also comes with a side of white rice). My friend and I loved the crispiness of the pork! And the way that egg was fried is one of my favorite ways of it being cooked. It made me want to order an extra egg. But other than that the sausage fried rice was also delicious. The sausage was very tender, slightly sweet but not like Chinese sausage style. I definitely loved the way it tastes. We had to ask for some spice on the side because I just knew both dishes will tastes better with some kick. I'll come back again just to try some of their curry dishes. I see why a lot of my friends have recommended this spot and why some of them do come back.

When we ordered, our server took the time to explain their spice scale (1-5), letting us know that a 1 is already about a medium spice level. We settled on mostly 2-3, but wow--the Thum Khao Poon (shredded green papaya salad) still packed some serious heat! Even my spice-loving kids were challenged. The server also gave us a heads-up that it's very fish-forward in flavor, which we appreciated and happened to love. The absolute standout of the meal was the Nam Khao Tod. It was hands down the family favorite--crispy coconut rice with pork sausage, crunchy peanuts, fresh herbs, and so many incredible textures and flavors in every bite. We could have ordered a second plate! We also had the Drunken Noodles with chicken, which were slightly oily in the best possible way, making them extra rich and delicious. The Chef's Special Basil Stir Fry with Crispy Pork was another winner. Our server brought over a chili vinegar that elevated the crispy pork to a whole new level--it was so good drizzled over every bite. Great food, thoughtful service, and plenty of dishes we're already looking forward to trying next time. Can't wait to come back!

Thai food was the one thing the 5 of us agreed on haha, but we were all so glad we found this place and that they still let us dine in even though we came in about 45 minutes before closing. Everything from the ka prao, to the tom yum noodle, beef rib noodle, fried chicken & rice, and tom yum fries were amazing and nothing like the usual thai flavors nor presentation we're used to. The only thing i'd skip here is the pad see ew - not because it's not good, but I just think their other dishes outshine it by far. Service was very friendly and helpful.
