First time here with my friend and they were about to close but said we could order takeout . My friend ordered crispy rolls and shrimp pad thai with no green onions and no peanuts . My friend opened her food at home and noticed they put peanuts even tho she can't have it due to her allergies. As For the crispy rolls it was good but just needed to be a little more crispy. We ordered a variety of items to sample the menu, including the Spicy Basil Fried Rice, Drunken Noodles, Crispy Rolls, Chicken Wings, Cheesy Crab, and Potstickers. The fried rice, noodles and wings were decent, though could have used a bit more flavor. The highlights for us were the potstickers, which we enjoyed. It would be nice to be able to enjoy a meal without finding flies in my food. How does a giant fly even end up in someone's curry? Either you killed it and landed in my curry, or the kitchen simply doesn't care about flies being around while they're cooking. This place is truly a hidden gem! So happy to have found this place just a 15-minute drive from home in Chula Vista. Parking is easy, as its located inside a strip mall. As soon as you come in, you are greeted by the hostess/server. She sat us right away. We ordered two kinds of curry (green and panang), drunken noodles with beef, and the chicken wings. It was a lot of food for 3 people, portions are really generous. Food quality is excellent. We asked for level 1 spice and it was perfect for us. Today I went in to this spot because growing up it used to be a TapEx. I was excited to learn that they offer boba, so I wanted one. Upon looking at the menu, I asked the cashier girl, "What is the fan favorite?" And she promptly responded, "I don't drink them." I diverted the conversation by asking what the photo of the green drink was and I said, "Is that a matcha latte?" She informed me that I was incorrect, it was actually a "green tea drink" with "poured in half and half." A green tea latte IS a matcha latte, so I did not know why I was being corrected... I said I would go ahead and order a "Green Tea Latte," to which she responded, "This isn't a latte." At this point she seemed fed up, so I asked her, "Isn't there milk in it though?" and she responded, "Yes." Soooo..... it IS a latte. I remained calm in the moment, but I don't know why she was being combative or highly corrective of everything I was saying. After the interaction, I opted to order a totally different drink off the menu instead. However, even after the interaction I was still kind of gaslighting myself and I couldn't help but wonder if I was the one who was in fact wrong about green tea lattes and matcha lattes not being the same drink. A quick google search DID in fact verify that a matcha latte is in fact a specific type of green tea latte, which can be used interchangeably. It is the same thing. I perhaps implore the barista to be more open minded and less combative about drinks that she admittedly doesn't consume at her place of employment. Furthermore, in Canada they call it a Green Tea Latte, and here in the US we call it a, "Matcha latte." So you would still get the same drink, regardless of how you order it. We're always greeted by the friendly staff when we walk in. My husband and I stop in pretty much every Thursday, because it's conveniently close to where our daughter trains. The restaurant is small and cozy. You can either order at the counter or from the table. They do a 1-5 spice level, but could always ask for the chili caddy if you're up for more heat. My go-to is always pad thai tofu, but we've also had their yellow curry, yum woon sen, tom kha soup, garlic pepper beef and some tum. All of which is tasty and spicy! I visited for lunch on a public holiday for the first time. When we arrived, there was only one other group of customers, so the restaurant was relatively quiet. It seemed that one female staff member was handling both orders and serving. However, I don't recall receiving any greeting when we entered, and throughout the meal there was no smile or warmth. Instead, I strongly felt an atmosphere of "please order quickly." The food was served very quickly after ordering. We had the crab fried rice, Pad Thai, and Larb, and all of them were well-seasoned and very delicious. However, when we asked for chopsticks and sharing plates, the staff member responded with a very displeased attitude. We also wanted extra napkins, but we decided not to ask because we felt we might receive another unpleasant reaction. Also, the Larb came with only three slices of cucumber, so we asked for more. Again, the response seemed unfriendly, although we were given three additional slices. Since the restaurant was not busy at the time, the cold and irritated attitude stood out even more and made us feel uncomfortable. The food itself was delicious, which made it even more disappointing that the service lacked friendliness and warmth, creating an atmosphere where it was difficult to fully enjoy the meal. read more

Pretty solid thai food that I wouldnt mind trying again, however I do have some notes. I did have it as take out but it doesn't change much in my opinion. The pad thai was pretty good and had a good burst of flavor, especially with extra lime! The drunken noodles had the moat perfect texture, however it lacked flavor unfortunately. It tasted like it needed more of a dark soy or oyster sauce type of taste but I did was add some soy sauce at home to make it more pleasant to eat, which was a shame because the texture of the noodle was absolutely perfect with the right amount of bounce and chew. Green thai tea was sweet and creamy but a bit overly sweet. If i could change the sweetness, I would probably get it again! read more

If you like a lot of spice do a level 4 if you like a good kick do a 3 if you brave & don't mine the burn later go for the 5. Their fried rice is also very good, spice 3 on it is good. Portions are very generous, on those 3 items you can share with 2-3 people & trust me you'll love the flavor on all 3. Wings are ok but I rather double up on the Crispy Rolls, crunchy, fresh & flavorful. The inside is very clean & has a nice vibe & good customer service, food comes fast, fresh & with a smile. Usually the owner takes your order & she's so nice & very attentive. A great addition to the neighborhood. We wanted to try this place and we were not disappointed. We walked in, the place was set nicely. It is spacious and we were greeted warmly. We ordered; papaya salad, tom yum soup, chicken wings, and of course mango with sticky rice. We got our papaya salad first followed by the soup then the chicken wings. The service is great and you don't have a long wait for the food to arrive. The papaya salad is just like it is in Bangkok or even Chiang Mai.
