I ordered the lB Steak which is described as "New York Steak" in their menu. The meat was so tough, I couldn't bite into it, I ended up having to shred it to be able to eat it. When I asked which type of meat it was they indicated it was flank steak! read more

I've been to IB Thai probably twenty times. They even catered some food for my wedding. Everything is usually 15 minutes from phone order to pickup. The mango sticky rice and satay appetizer are excellent. And really, the chow mein is killer. I wasn't expecting it from a that restaurant. But also the orange chicken is also stellar. So yeah, Chinese food at the Thai place. Everything I've had is great, which has been a significant amount of the menu. It's fast, affordable, and tasty. So good. read more

IB Thai - Drunken Fried Rice Mango Sticky Rice Chicken Satay - Thai Near Me - Imperial Beach, California

Food was good, but I wasn't too impressed with the overall feel. The cashier was friendly, but when we told her that we were going to eat in they gave us our meal in to-go containers. Now granted the servings are large, but we had the distinct impression that they didn't want us to stay there. I'm not sure if this is standard for them. We asked for silverware and were given plastic ware. It was only when I looked around for some napkins that I discovered they had actual silverware. Guess they are wanting to economize on water? Although I enjoyed the food itself I'm not sure I would come back. read more

IB Thai is a local favorite with delicious flavors and friendly staff with the option to dine in a dimly lit and quiet setting, but tonight, we opted to get out Pad Thai to go. I ordered the chicken with a spice level 4 and the beef with a spice level 10. This is the place to go if you want intense heat without sacrificing taste! read more

Im pretty sure its family run. They were warm and inviting. The fresh spring rolls were crisp and fresh. The sauces were really good too. Thai tea was the best I've had in a while. I cant remember the last time I had thai tea that good! Service was really good too. They're very friendly. The restaurant looked new and immaculately clean. Will definitely come back here to try more food on their menu. read more

Ordered delivery for lunch on UberEats and I got their IB Steak plate. It comes with steamed vegetables and a side of white rice! I didn't eat the rice, but for portion sizes, it was definitely enough for me. Other than no utensils, which was probably just forgotten in the bag, the steak was a bit hard to bite. That aside, it was so delicious with their steak sauce! It was limey, salty, and peppery without it being too much. I ordered spicy and there were lots of sliced peppers, but it wasn't a burn-my-mouth spice. It was nice to try this spot out for delivery, although, I cannot give a full rating for the dining experience. I did enjoy the steak plate and was satisfied for lunch. read more

Small restaurant, I stumbled upon it when I needed something quick to bite and I did not want to eat a full meal. All I ordered was a shrimp fresh roll - but this was the best fresh roll I've ever had anywhere! It was fresh, FRESH, tasted just FRESH, the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, the shrimp was probably also great but I was focused on the freshness of the veggies. Too bad I do not usually go to IB but if I ever go there again, I will seek out this place! read more

IB Thai - So yummy - Thai Near Me - Imperial Beach, California

This is a small and affordable Thai place in IB with some respectable lunch offerings. I've been craving Thai food after trying it in Pacific Beach and I wanted some despite being down here near home, so I tried this place out for lunch on like a Thursday at 2:50 PM. I got myself the Chicken Pad Thai Lunch at spicy level 5, which comes accompanied with a salad covered in a type of peanut sauce, and 2 pork gyoza. Paired it up with some veggie rolls and my friend wanted her side of rice and we had a pretty hefty meal for only around 24 dollars with our drinks included. The service was also good as the guy was nice and patient with us which is always nice. I have to say though, that I didn't love the Pad Thai this time and the chicken seemed a bit dry to me. The noodles were also not my favorite and I'm not really sure how to describe why they weren't but the flavor, texture, and vibe was just really not there for me. I also just didn't love the veggie rolls because they had a very mild but still underlying wrong flavor that you get like when you buy those make at home spring rolls and they just don't hit like they're supposed to. The lunch deals are cheap and the food isn't bad, but it's not the best Thai i've had here in San Diego (55 Thai is still king) and I can't say I recommend this spot. I'm gonna change the noodle types and I'll be back for a second calling maybe I just need some Pad See Ew, but I really made me sad because I wanted this Thai food to be bomb soooo bad. It's ok thought, they were still very nice and acocomodating, and they have boba so maybe i'll try that too and see what else they have to offer. Also some reviews have mentioned it but this is most definitely a togo focused kinda place, and they gave it to us in togo containers without forks, he was almost surprised we had sat down and wanted to eat it there. People are mean about the interior but hey it's just another small restaurant, but yeah they totally have that togo vibe going on. To sum everything up tho, DO GET the lunches if you can make it before 3 PM because the price makes it worth getting the food every time i mean mann just look at the leftovers I had. DO NOT get the veggie rolls I'm sorry I hate that they were bad but they were not good. And outside of that try this place out once especially if you can catch the deals but do come in with some lower expectations. And I would drop my spice down to like a 3 it's not that I don't like spicy but I'm big on you can always add, never take out and 5 was just a tad bit too spicy for me. Outside from all that, it's DAYGOEATS approved but not certified. read more

Lost all quality. No ambiance, not friendly, ive been coming since they opened, and they act like they don't recognize me. I normally love IB thai and will continue to get food from here, but i was a little disappointed when i ordered the spring rolls for the first time. traditional spring rolls contain shrimp, veggies, and vermicelli noodles (and sometimes pork as well) but the spring rolls here were honestly a scam. i paid $8 for two spring rolls cut in half and not only were the cut in 1/2 but it was nothing but vegetables inside the spring roll. i had to pick out almost half the veggies inside because it was too much and tasted a little bland. and they make sure to really stuff it will all veggies so it looks like you're getting your moneys worth but in reality you're not. definitely won't be getting them again. read more

This place was just ok had drunken noodles but they lacked flavor. Don't really know how to describe it but when you heavenly drunken noodles you just know. This feels like something i could put together if I had rice noodles no Thai spices and broth. So kinda meh. Won't be back read more

Excellent Thai Food. I love the wide noodles. I ordered the Pad Se Eh with extra vegetables and the Drunken noodles extra vegetables *No Red Pepper Flakes. IThe Drunken Noodles are very hot and spicy. If you like hot and really spicy then you'll love this dish. Even the 1 is too spicy for me. I learned to order with no red pepper flakes. These are my 2 favorite dishes. Cooked fresh to order. And UnerEats delivers this to my door at least 1x a week. Nice and steaming hot and so yummy! I'm addicted! read more

This is by far my ULTIMATE favorite Thai place. I've driven all the way from Point Loma just to come pick up my order. Yes I'm sure there is other delicious spots in Point Loma area, but I get my money's worth at IB Thai. I actually discovered this spot on Groupon first. Groupon has a 15% discount and I decided to use it and after my first visit they had a dedicated customer. My husband even loves coming here and gets a huge smile on his face when I tell him let's get food at IB Thai. They are quick with your order and make sure everything is safe and sanitary when you come in to pick up your order. I highly recommend IB Thai if you love AUTHENTIC Thai food. Oh also their levels of hot range from 1-10 and level 5 is pretty freakn HOT!!! And that's coming from a person who regularly eats spicy food. read more

Absolutely love this place and the employees! The food is fantastic.. we haven't ordered anything we didn't even remotely love. Their lunch specials are really great and you get a decent amount of food for the price. We also love the coconut shrimp It's a lot of food for $30 or so, and we have leftovers! read more

I love the way the tofu cooks in this place. It's taste fresh and not overcooked, also the price and the service is fast.

Not sure if it was because I got it delivered via Uber eats, but it wasn't the best. I've had better. I'm sure it'll be better in person, so I'm not rating it too harshly on it. When it came, everything was hard and stuck together. The meat was plain. I'll definitely have to try again in person for an updated review. read more

Amazing Tom Kha soup! I asked for a level 10 spice and was pleasantly surprised, they definitely brought the heat! A lot of restaurants are nervous about upping the spice so it's nice to finally find a place that isn't afraid to hold back for those willing to take on the heat. They also use actual Thai chilies (instead of the jalapeños a lot of restaurants substitute with.) Perfect soup for a chilly October night watching spooky movies! read more

Fast and friendly small family owned restaurant. Haven't had anything I didn't like from here. Everything is so flavorful, fresh, and delicious. A must try is the IB Steak. It melts in your mouth, and the sauce that it comes with pairs perfectly with it. Served on a bed of grilled veggies. This is my bf's favorite dish. We also really liked the chicken larb, crab puffs, chicken wings, pad see ew, and tom yum soup. Can't wait to come back and try the other items on the menu! read more

Was excited when I saw a Thai restaurant opening so close to home.... definitely didn't disappoint. Today is their soft opening so we decided to try their Som Tom (spicy papaya salad, a family favorite of ours) and it's really good! It's a whole situation that comes with shrimp on top and cabbage on the side. It's very flavorful and they do a wonderful version here. They've got a pretty good selection of all the Thai classics on their menu (a reeeallly good selection of curries, too!). Definitely can't wait to explore the rest of their dishes -we're off to a good start with their Som Tom! read more

I tried to give no stars but it wouldn't let me. I walked into this restaurant and the girl behind the counter looked at me didn't say anything and put her head down and continued watching a video on her phone. I walked to the side to get someone else attention, I made eye contact with someone else and the didn't say anything and turned around and said something to someone else who came up front. It's apparent that they are not use to having customers because this one person does everything and they lack customer service skills. I order the pad Thai but almost didn't want to try it just based on the experience thus for. The noodles were average. read more

I'm so glad I found this place- the food is really flavorful and reasonably priced, also fast for pickup!

I ordered the chicken curry and I was asked what level of spicy did I want. I told them and it did not disappoint. The flavor was good and there was a good amount of chicken and potatoes which alot of places do not provide that. I was very satisfied with the meal. What I didn't like was the white rice I ordered was not filled in the container it comes in. Even the extra one I paid for. I didn't like that, it comes off cheap and stingy to be honest. But nonetheless the food was still good and I would like to try more items. As far as the place itself, I'm glad I ordered it to go because it's really not the kind of place that says EAT HERE! there are a few tables and chairs but it seems as if they are just there for convenience if you are on a quick lunch break or something like that. I forgot to take pics maybe next time read more

Great food!!! The food was hot, and the order was correct! Highly recommend this eating establishment

The food is delicious! However, 2 of the 3 times I have placed a delivery order, they have gotten it wrong. And, because they use a third party vendor for delivery, you're really kind of SOL. For the food quality, I would give 5 stars, but the inaccuracy forces me to give 4 stars. For example, I paid $1.00 extra for brown rice with each meal I've ordered, but they only ever deliver white rice. It is frustrating because you just have to let yourself accept the mistakes. It really dampens how good the food is at that point. I am, however, able to ask for a refund from DoorDash, but it makes me sad to not have a complete meal I can enjoy. read more

Honestly I've been to a couple of Thai restaurants around here. This was ranked maybe my last minute munch go too This was my second time ordering on DoorDash Price is affordable, the portions are very big compared to other places which I was in wow about until, I got to the eating part... it's edible but not much Thai flavor slightly bland. It was the same thing the first time with the Pad Thai second time I got drunken noodles to see if I could give it a second chance with level 5 spice this time.. big portions no Thai flavors at all once again.
