I stopped in here for a quick lunch on my way into Solvang. I was able to place my order on their mobile app before going inside to wait for my food. I ordered their Cali XL burger and was able to customize it according to my preferences. Normally, that would slow things down at McDonald's leading to a lengthy wait. However, not here! Soooo..... I'm driving home LATE after my daughter's birthday and stop in Buelton to get gas. I run into the gas station after pumping my gas to use the restroom and the gal smiles and mouths we are closed. Meaning I can give them my money at the pump but no where near by is open for me to grab a cup of coffee or go to the bathroom! I am still way over an hour from home and I am thinking great. No fast food places are open. Even Taco Bell and Jack In the Box are dark and closed. UGH!!!! Then I see it!!! Carl's Junior seems to be lit up. ARGGHH!!! I drive up to the sign and it is dark.... Oh well.... BUT NO.... I hear "Can I help you?" So I order and drive up to the window... pay for my order and ask "Do you know of any places open around here that has a restroom?" He says.... drive around to the front and I will let you in!!!! Oh my gosh!!! I had to Yelp this restaurant! The restrooms were super clean cuzzz they had just cleaned them... but I left them just the way I found it and wanted to Yelp this one for the excellent customer service. In this day and age of lazy fast food employees, I was impressed with this one! He seemed to be the lone guy there and he knew there was nothing around for miles! If I could give no stars I would. Rude cashier and manager I have ever experienced. I brought a bus load of people with another bus/driver. We were both in line and no one after us since our groups had already finished ordering. I asked a question and the cashier rolled her eyes and helped my coworker who has an accent that some people cannot understand. He asked her the same question and didn't hear/understand him so I repeated my question still looking at my coworker she said I don't know let me ask. So I said loud enough, "wow I just got disrespected" and she said she acknowledged me. Not until the second time I asked the question. I'm not a huge fan of Carl's Jr., but it was late and we were hungry after having been at a wedding. We went through the drive-thru. It took quite a while to get our grub. My food was meh (overcooked and soggy). There were some interesting characters at the drive-thru though. I think this Carl's in Buellton doesn't have to try because they're one of the only fast food places in town so business will come their way regardless. read more

Carl's Jr are everywhere in California, so they are easy to find. This one had great service and the food was extremely fast. My major complaint, it was kinda of dirty. The tables were all dirty and needed a mop taken to it. If you need a pit stop off of highway 101 north, this place works. I would suggest take out! read more

First of all, I love Carl's Jr! Great place and food. I visit this location tonight around 1035 pm and I have never in my life delt with something like this. As I was placing my order the gentleman was extremely rude. I ordered a some meals and he literally grunted at me and said "ughhhh anything else?" Then I placed another combo and he goes "what else???" The fact that he grunted and said "ughhh omg" you are not happy with your job don't be here. You get paid to serve me! And if you don't want to serve me then why are you working??? I literally placed 5 combos and I decided to cancel my order due to his attitude. His name is Erick and I will never come back. If this is the way you treat your guest then damn I did not feel welcome and you probably lose money often due to this behavior. We just went through the drive thru and saw the employee wasn't wearing a mask and she was not even three feet away from our faces. When I asked her about the mask, she snapped that she was wearing it, just not on her face. Sure enough, she had it hanging off her ear and tucked into her shirt. As we paid, we noticed she was also handling money and food with the same gloves. We ended up leaving without our food after paying. This is one of my "go to" places to stop at while going through Buellton. The service is great, everyone is always friendly and then there's my favorite employee.... I really need to get his name. The restaurant is clean or in the process of being cleaned (ie: lunch/dinner rush) and there's always a place to sit. My only complaint is the food, it is very seldom fresh! Yes, I like fast service just like anyone else but I'm willing to wait an extra minute or two for FRESH food. Just once I'd like to get a burger from here where the cheese is actually melted! I visited today at 2:30, there was no one else there and still I get a burger that the patty was cooked "a while" ago. You know CJ's there's a reason that In n Out does so well. ... FRESH FAST FOOD! Ate here plenty of times, and always appears clean, however, my daughter and I were in the restroom washing our hands when a female worker, in uniform, comes out of the stall and walks right by us, out the door and into the grill area without washing her hands. Stopped by passing through Buellton and let me tell you it completely ruined my trip. The person taking the order was so rude and rushing me that i forgot to order my daughter a famous star, when i asked to add it to my order he told my husband that we would have to go back around the drive thru because he didn't have any meat and it would take too long. After telling us that we continued to wait for 9 minutes, in that 9 minutes he could have made the patty. Also to add, when taking my order with an attitude he asked if i wanted sauce for my chicken nuggets, then when we got to the window again he asked what sauce and i asked for ranch AGAIN. i checked the bag when he handed it to my husband and there was NO SAUCE, only ketchup which i had a NOT asked for. when my husband asked him again for ranch (The 3rd time) he hands it to him and doesn't say a word but continues to roll his eyes like as if it was our mess up that he did not put the ranch. I went to Jack n The Box down the street to get my daughter something since he rushed me and kept asking me if i was done ordering after every item. i had a MUCH better experience there. read more
