I think this is a standard McDonald's. The crew is always very nice. I only get fries and diet coke. The fries are always hot and salty, the diet coke crispy (iykyk). Wow, this McDonald's was actually decent. It had good friendly customer service and the food was actually edible. It was an easy four stars for me. They were quick efficient and there was no bums unlike the McDonald's in Arroyo grande which is the exact opposite of this place. read more

Been coming to this location for years several times a year when in the area. On this last visit the service was super excellent. The lady in the drive thru was super friendly and professional and really made you feel welcome. We actually ate here twice and got the sane thing both times: egg Mc muffin meal with OJ and side of scrambled eggs and sausage. Both items tasted like the typical good McDonalds quality you get at any good location. However, on the second visit the side of eggs and sausage caused tummy trouble so no 5 stars. There is a big lot with ample parking. The store is usually clean and does not have homeless people harassing you. It is conveniently located near the freeway and also several hotels are down the street. When we have stayed at those, you can just walk over to McDonalds. read more

Ok ...stopped for lunch with a friend today. The outside is very pleasant. Clean. Nicely landscaped but we went inside as it was really hot. We ordered at kiosk and took the plastic number for our table as instructed by prompts and put number on table. About 5min later I heard staff call the number I was confused as we had table service number but got up and walked toward counter. Just as I was approaching the manager screamed over his employee my number again. No way could I have walked any faster . Everyone at tables stopped to see why he was yelling. Embarrassing but it got worse as we started to eat we had company. Flies. Flies in our boxes flies on our hands etc. They need a fan over the door...no question. Not going to return. This MacDonald's served as a very pleasant pit stop on our drive down to Santa Barbara. With the Goleta rest areas perpetually closed, this conveniently located fast food place is a find. It has one of the largest, and easiest to navigate parking lots I have seen at a McDonald's, with green pepper trees along the edge. It would be easy if you are driving a truck or RV to move through it and find a big parking space. The order came up quickly, the fries were hot and fresh, and our chicken sandwiches didn't look like someone threw them together from across the room (like they usually do). They were also still serving Egg McMuffins later in the day. Bathrooms are nice and clean, and spacious since they are all gender! Stopped for a quick bite to eat on our 7 hour road trip. I asked for a bacon egg and cheese biscuit sandwich. I think it was the sausage mcmuffin they gave me. Usually love this place because the service and food are very good. However on my last visit a couple days ago they tried to refuse exchanging a coffee I purchased through the drive through. The coffee was bitter and did not contain the combination of additives I asked for, further affecting the bad taste. I asked my family member to go inside for me and tell them it was bitter and if they could replace it. They said they could not and would give me a replacement on my next visit. For starters I don't even live in that area and only stop there while on the road. Second of all, what kind of business refuses to replace an item that is bad? I did not ask for a free coffee, I PAID for it and received a substandard item. I then went inside myself and the lady that "helped" me told me they had already replaced it. I told her no they did not and it was then that she asked her drive through worker if he had replaced it and he answered "no" . She then tried to tell me that that is how the coffee tastes because they make it fresh. I told her that I purchased through McDonalds coffe all the time "so dont give me that" and "you need to give me a new one or will call corporate" and she finally did give me a new one. For a McDonald's this one's pretty good. I like the fact that you can just pick and choose your food at one of the kiosks. Easy to do and then they bring the food to your table. The only thing you have to do is get your fountain drinks. The servers were really nice and the bathroom wasn't too bad. Happy meals are still the big hit for the younger ones. This was a very clean restaurant, and there were ordering kiosks for those that want customizations but don't trust the cashier to get the order right. Our order was correct and their coffee was nice and hot. Can't ask for much more that from a fast-food restaurant. My sausage McMuffin was very savory and tasty. One wont fill you up but it will satisfy you until your next stop for lunch. The McDonald's had changed a lot. The place was clean, remodeled and spacious. The counter had many more options of deserts and even donuts. The display on top of the usual backcounter had newer, dynamic and actively changing menu items and big inviting pictures! The quarter pounder with cheese and a bottle of water and French fries were $9.89 plus extra for water. The individual McRib burger was $4.89 and scantly made spicy chicken sandwich was also $4.89 range. The soda was still reasonably priced at $1.89. The big Mac was still around. I liked that the packaging was all brown paper but there was no tray and open option for patrons wanting to eat inside. The paper napkins and utensils as well as any garnish were all by request and minimal amount was given. The fountain Coke and Dr. Pepper were sweet but not well carbonated. They were still working on the self service drinking fountains. Overall I was shocked by the inflation creeping into the fast food industry and McDonald's Franchise is the bellwether of our country and inflation prices in food industry. I really enjoy their soft, fresh buns and crispy French fries but the new prices didn't match the food quality of yesterday. Only three small stars. read more

This McDonald's is located along Highway 101. It is easy to get to as it is located just off the offramp to Buellton; en route to Solvang. If you're going North, get off the freeway, turn right, turn left at the first stoplight and you're there. If you're going South on the 101 get off, turn left, turn left again at the stoplight, and you are there. Again, all very easy to get to. I have been coming to this McDonald's literally for decades. It is one of my frequent stops whenever I am traveling along Highway 101. It is a great place to drive up, get your order, and keep traveling along the highway. What they have at this McDonald's is what you'd expect from any McDonald's. It is the standard menu. The people that work here have always seem to be very nice. I've never had any problems with my orders. So, if you're craving your McDonald's fix and you're traveling along the 101, this is the place for you. read more

You order and pay on your phone, and when your GPS detects when you're in the parking lot (good parking btw), you're able to check in, and they prepare the order for you. Super easy, and super fast! I went in tonight around 9pm. It took me about 10 minutes just to order at the drive thru then another 30 minutes to get my food. There was only 3-4 cars in front of me, and I don't remember them being big orders. Once I got the food, it was fairly cold, but I was so hungry I ate it anyways. I'd like to say this never happens but it happens all the time. I see cars backed up for long periods of time, and when I've been there before, the wait feels abnormally long. To be fair, I don't know what is causing this. But it needs to be resolved so customers can receive their food quickly. read more

I've been to this McDonald's a handful of times. I typically stay at the hotel across the way and whenever I need a quick bite of food I will stop here to buy something. They recently remodeled and renovated the building itself. It does look a lot nicer then it did before. They have installed a couple of kiosks where you can order food. Be sure to click on the deals button on the upper right hand corner to see if there's any promotions such as of 2 for $3 or 2 for $5 promotion if they have that at the time. also download the McDonald's app that they have, the deal that they have on the app aren't nearly as good as they used to be but on occasion, there still are some ok deals. I just went in there at around 8:30 at night or so and it was definitely after the dinner rush. The trash cans were filled to the brim and the place was kind of in rough shape. Hopefully they were just overwhelmed and we're getting ready for the close of the dining area. Overall, the food is pretty standard nothing to complain about. There is tons of parking here and it's all one giant lot that is all connected to the movie theater next door and then the Marriott that's on the other side. read more

--Atmosphere, Service, & Parking--- A clean and nicely located McD's situated in a park like setting near some movie theatre (dinner and a movie anyone?) close by the 101, and nearby Solvang. It's a bit hidden from view but if you see the sign you'll know where to go. It's an average to smallish size but has a good amount of varied seating. Service? Stupendous. Would I like nonfat or regular milk in my mocha latte whatever? Not that it matters for me but who knew fast food locations ask such a thing nowadays! A very wonderful and cheery woman with glasses provided great service and brought out drinks once sitting down. Parking is plentiful in their lot and there's a bit of a nice view! -----Food & Prices------ Perhaps the same items as elsewhere, and definitely the favorites. Food was presented nicely and tasted good as well. No complaints.. I would think prices are comparable to other locations and maybe just a bit more for being in the middle of nowhere in a way. Combo meals can set you back in the $7+ range and if you upgrade things like a latte or frap instead of whatever regular combo drink prepare for some upcharge of $1+. read more

I've been visiting this location frequently for the past year, as I am located nearby for work. I immediately noticed this location had far superior customer service than other locations I've been to, as well as other fast food restaurants. The super sweet woman who I believe is a manager who typically takes drive thru orders, as well as the friendly gentleman who typically will be handing over food and drinks at the drive thru are fantastic. They're the reason I am not giving 2 stars. Over the past couple of months, I have noticed a decline in in-restaurant service which I think coincides with the arrival of the order kiosks. I am not opposed to using a kiosk at all in fact I prefer to place my order ahead or do it myself if its an option, and would be more than happy to for meal orders ... however, lately I have been ordering small items using my reward points in the app (coffee, soda, ice cream) so I skip the kiosk and head to the counter to place my order as they only need to hand me an empty cup or pour a coffee/prepare a cone vs a whole meal in addition to inputting the order. On more than one occasion, I will stand at the counter for at least a minute before being greeted or asked to wait a moment (waiting isn't the problem, it's the being ignored). Today I wanted to use some of my reward points to get an ice cream and ended up walking out empty handed as the worker continued assisting the drive thru worker (while there wasn't a line. I could see she had 2 orders to help with). I can't help but think this is by design, to encourage guests to use the kiosks, and if so I would highly recommend giving the staff a couple of go-to greetings. "Hi how are you would you like to use the kiosk?" "welcome, i'll be right with you" would be totally acceptable greetings instead of ignoring. The increase in their prices over the past couple of years has almost completely turned me off of McDonalds, this was probably the final straw. I thought the whole point of McDonald's was to be "quality", inexpensive, quick food for families and it's none of the above anymore. The ingredients are trash, a meal for one person if you want a large drink and an ice cream is $20, and in CA an adult can earn $20+/hour and not be required to multi task pouring a soda and greeting a customer. read more

Worst experience I ever had from McDonald's. The drive has 2 lanes just so happen the lane I was in wasn't working. Sat there as cars in other lane placed orders. So after 3 cars go by I drive up to the first window order there and pay. Go to second window where they didn't have order ready so I had to drive up to the waiting zone. Waited 5 min. Got food pull over to the parking lot to eat and the pancakes I ordered didn't have syrup, the English muffin didn't have jam. Luckily I was still there walk back in and asked for syrup and jam. Initially had a very nice order taker (young man) pleasant conversing polite. Then get to window and a young punk (male with tattoos) had a terrible attitude and rude. We asked for ten catsups and just ignored us and told us to go wait our front and they will bring out food. They brought out food large fry HALF full and no catsup. Husband went in asked for a full fry and catsup and they still forgot catsup! So in all we asked 4 times for catsup. When my husband walked away a woman mumbled under her breath some people! With the large amount of unemployed people Macdonald's ought to be choosier as to who they hire! Bad bad service! Standards are really bad! I'm going to In n Out next time!
