Had an amazing experience with Carl's Air Conditioning and plumbing. I called around 6:30am for a leak in my master bathroom toilet. This bathroom is a cursed bathroom with all the water issues that I've had and was having again! I expressed to dispatch how quickly I needed someone to fix the water leak as it started to cause water damage. Less than 15 minutes later, Brandon was dispatched and heading my way. He even followed up with to a phone call to let me know he was 18 minutes out. Once Brandon got here and assessed the situation, he was honest with me and gave me a few options. After I gave the go ahead with numbers and repairs, he got started on it, finding that the leak wasn't as bad as originally thought, saving me just a little more money. The toilet has now been repaired and working perfectly. The water damage in my ceiling is going to be repaired by another company, going through my homeowners insurance. Saves me time and money from calling around or trying to repair the damages myself. So happy that I called Carls, they really saved the day! I highly recommend Carls and Brandon their service tech! read more

Yelp doesn't allow a zero star. If you would like insulation on your 50th birthday cake, use Carls. If you would like your air ducts ripped out of your attic and your vents to fall onto your bed, and have them try to shop vac your bed before you go to sleep ... use carls. If you would like all of your old insulation dispersed into your house while your old dog is dying, use carls. If you would like your vintage hat collection to be covered in nails and insulation, use carls Carls wrecked my house. Their air duct and insulation installers were smoking in my attic, wrecked more than you could imagine. The ceiling, the flooring, plumbing. They littered my yard, and the neighborhood with insulation. I had to deal with their insurance company for months. Once settled things kept breaking. The garage door opener broke because they were spewing insulation into the gears of my garage door opener and I didn't know it right away. Coincidentally, my best friends father has been in the hospital for almost a year. He hasn't been able to speak for most of the time. The visit I had with him when he could talk, he was pissed that he couldn't have warned me about Carl's. This is not a joke response. I received an insurance settlement from this company, and the have a feeling it wasn't enough. Do not use this company. Last week they called me to offer me their yearly service ‍ read more

Hemal from Carl's Air Conditioning is an excellent technician. Today he came to my home for a maintenance service call and he found the equivalent of an eagles nest amount of "stuff" in my air conditioning compressor. Hemal cleaned and washed my air conditioning compressor in very little time in 100° plus heat! Service with a smile! Amazing! I highly recommend Hemal and the entire crew at Carl's Air Conditioning. read more

Dont even know what to say. Elderly parents on stools trying to fool with filters. A/C tech said the repair was a result of not changing the filters. Ok. So you fix it, turn it on and the the hatches are still hanging down runningthe system with no friggin filters and call that finished? In August heat??!!!You dont replace filters as part of the service? I dont think any reputable company would let elderly people install the filters on stools. Let alone run the system and take off and mark it as done. Dont even know what to say here. Just WOW. NO STARS. They made me mark 1. read more

The tech was rude AF. I picked up on my ring doorbell and he was looking for someone after we got a free cleaning and check. I told him my husband wasn't there and he wanted to argue with me that he was. I called my husband (he wasn't there) proceeded to re-ring bell the tech to tell him he wasn't there (again) and he made weird snarky comments asking if we usually let people work at the house unattended (all the time) are you not trustworthy? Then asked how would he go over his findings I said a phone call or an email. His tone and demeanor were so disgusting with me that I wouldn't hire them if they were the last company in town! Oh and he left the gate OPEN to my yard. read more

Had Carls come out and install my new wifi enabled t-stat did such a great job the first time am calling them out to do a second one, the tech was friendly and arrived right on time, the price was fair $89 straight up with no service fee ! many companies I called wanted big dollars, one even wanted to charge me $207 plus a $99 service fee so as you can see it pays to shop around. read more

Response to need for AC services was within 4 hours of the appointment. The repair completed was sufficient and we have no other issues since completion. We do feel the cost of repairs was relatively high and could have been higher if questions were not asked during the repair process. The technician was all over the place without clarification of the path to identifying the problem. Our system is working thank you, we did not receive a receipt or any warranty information as of today. I have also attached a picture of our unit showing a screw not replaced after repair. Our system is only 3 years old and has not had any other repairs done so we recommend if you use this company Carl's or any other watch them from beginning to job completion. read more

Carl's Air Conditioning - AC side cover on our new unit showing screw not replaced after repair. - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

I had a hot water heater replaced and I didn't get any hot water following their work . I reached out to them and they sent someone out the following day ... the technician told me that someone must have messed with it because the pilot light was out- i told him it was exactly the way the technician had left it the prior day ... following this the on/off valve wasn't opened all the way and I was told that it was going to have to be redirected and would probably cost me an additional amount!!! I got upset so he fixed it and told me " I didn't realize you were so worried about money " he said we gave you a great deal and sometimes you have to compromise??? The great deal they gave me was a senior citizen discount . Very disappointed with the horrible attitude from the technician... the manager reached out to me and was very nice and sympathetic, but the damage is already done read more

I would love to speak with the owner about all of this. My advice: Get everything in writing before you proceed! The actual warranty information we received is different from the warranty we were promised by the sales rep. After multiple phone calls, Carl's Air agreed to provide some additional warranty information, but this is still not the full warranty the sales rep described. Our units are two months old and we already have had one service call to repair a faulty unit. We called on a Sunday night (in extreme Vegas heat!) and they could not send anyone out until the next day. A repair on a new unit is a huge concern! Our rep told us we would receive a $4000 tax rebate. Turns out the tax rebates are now UP TO $1500 and currently, there are no rebates because the Nevada Energy program has ended. If we had been told "you may get a rebate of up to..." instead of "WILL get a rebate of $4000" we could have understood the costs differently and looked at the rebates before making the purchase. This was incorrect info that results in a $4000 loss for us. The manager apologized that we were given incorrect info, but nothing was done to make up for their mistake. Terrible service overall. They bumped into my antique piano with a furnace and gouged/scratched the arms, but didn't offer any compenation. An installer stepped through the ceiling, which can happen, but the original drywall repair was terrible, not textured, and did not match. We had three different people come in to fix the drywall and it still has cosmetic defences. I'm waiting for the office to call me for a fourth repair to the drywall. When they painted the ceiling, paint dripped all over the walls and carpet and the painter did not notice or clean it up. Almost all of the appointments were late. My husband and I both took time off work to be here with installers at different times, and one day I rearranged my schedule to stay home they did not even show up. The office doesn't do well returning phone calls. After a month of back and forth, I was finally working with a General Manager and after he hadn't responded for a few days, I called and found he's no longer employed by Carl's Air, but didn't pass my case on to anyone else when he left. In the end, we are furious, disappointed, out about $6000, and worried about the overall quality of our units since our warranty is not the lifetime/full replacement warranty that we were promised. read more

I needed a new Thermostat, and had purchased a Honeywell. It required a "C" wire to work. It was something I could not figure out, so I called the professionals. Unfortunately the Tech said he did not know how either, so he installed a thermostat he just happened to have, for $350. I had the C wire run, and hooked up to my thermostat, but was having difficulty deciding where to find the 24V hookup on the furnace circuit board. I thought an HVAC tech would know this. But instead he just installed a new one, without wifi, (which I didn't realize until after he left). I also purchased their service package, with the promise that he would clean my AC/Furnace unit (which was full of leaves and debris). Today I climbed up to check on his work. All the leaves and debris were still there, so I hauled the shop-vac onto the roof and did it myself. I was willing to pay for the service contract, just to have it cleaned, and at 64 years old, I was happy to pay a younger man to do it for me! They did come out fast, and the tech was very pleasant. I just fell for the old bait and switch con job, and in the end had to do the work myself. read more

AC low on gas. wanted gas added and find the slow leak. since the unit is older the technician said they didn't carry any Freon for this machine and said they couldn't service the unit. Told us we would have to purchase a whole new unit. Well I contacted another company who said they had the Freon. They charge up the Freon and figured out how to fix the leak. The bill for this service was $600 which included a $140 capacitor. That was 2 years ago and the AC is working fine. In conclusion I would not recommend Carls for any kind of service. read more

I've been using Carl's AC for several years now. Technician Linda completed my annual AC check-up a couple of weeks ago and offered an annual membership for a little more money. We were contacted by Carl's to have our yearly AC / furnace check-up. Hemal was right on time. He discovered the fan was not moving on our AC unit, which would have been terrible to turn it on come summer and no air. But he replaced it and all is good ... the house got nice and cool. With the house being 22 years old he could have tried to sell us a whole new system, but there was no pressure from him. We have used Carl's for about 10 years now and will continue to stay with a company that has great people like Hemal, great value, and great people in the office. Thank you Carl's! read more

Really disappointing that a company with a previously good reputation has become so terrible and unethical. Carl's Air called us to do a free check up. They serviced my home years ago, and I was glad to have a free check up before the summer heat. The rep, Bronco, showed me frayed wires on our outside unit and said he was surprised it had not yet caught our house on fire. He told us the units needed to be replaced urgently. He offered same day install, which was a deciding factor because we were going out of town and wanted to be sure the AC was working property before leaving. Bronco presented three different units as options. He sold us on the "middle" option because he said there was lifetime replacement at no cost to the customer. He said faulty units would be replaced for free rather than repaired. This was a huge selling factor because we plan to be in this house for many years. He also told us we would receive $4000 in tax rebates, which brought the overall price of the loan down to a more reasonable amount. (Turns out there are no rebates.) We didn't have time for a second opinion because, again, he told us our house was at RISK OF FIRE and we were leaving town. I requested paperwork confirming everything and was told they would get it over to me ASAP, so we went ahead with the install before we received any paperwork. Unfortunately, most of the information provided by the rep was incorrect. This has been very frustrating and time consuming. I've worked with Carl's Air for TWO MONTHS to come to an agreement. The price quoted was different from the amount on the original loan documents, so we requested an adjustment for the loan amount and the loan was resubmitted. read more

What an amazing job! We came home after being on vacation to an ac unit that was not working. We were desperate and called a big name company in Las Vegas that was 24/7. They sent out two guys that morning. They told us we needed to buy a new unit for $15,000! Or they could fix it for $3900. Very pushy like car salesmen. After we finally got them out of our house we called Carl's. They knew we had no A/C and it was 109 degrees. They got Anthony to be here in 2 hours and quickly fixed it for $275! He said the rest of our unit looked great. Thank you Anthony and Carl's! We will spread the word how great and honest this company is. read more

Paid carls $17,000 for two ACs. They dropped one which makes a horrible rattling noise in my bedroom. They bullied me into accepting it. Now, 3 years later a new guy with Carls came out and metered the noise coming from that AC. He told Gavin the manager and Gavin refuses to call us. This isn't the original Carl. He retired. This guy still refuses to replace the unit. THEY dropped it off of the truck. Do not use Carls as management has changed and all they want is your money. For 17 grand we deserve what we paid for. We've used them for over 33 years. So disappointing. Another rip off business to watch out for. read more

After doing business with Carl's air for over 40 years on a business and personal level and purchasing numerous systems. We had a problem with our 18 year old home air conditioning system (that they sold us) and had done 36 semi annual check ups on (approximately $3,500 spent in maintenance). They came out and told us it would be recommended to install a hard start kit and new capacitor and this would 80-85% of the time extend the life of the system and wanted $965.00 for doing so. Decided after encouragement from their tech that it was a prudent thing to do. 5 minutes later we get "Oh well sorry that didn't work on your unit, well have a salesman call. Received the call from salesman who said we could replace just the outside unit or do the full system and they would credit back the $965 towards the purchase of a new system. purchased a new outside 10 year warranted system for considerably less elsewhere and their response was the person that sold us the new system didn't know what they were doing and the whole system should be replaced, after they told me I could do the outside only. Felt like this was some sort of hustle and have moved on. read more

Have been a customer of Carls for the 15 years or so. The last few years they have raising the mandatory service contract prices and reducing what they service. This last visit they did not bring the filters as stated on my contract, so after a call they scheduled a visit to bring my filters, but no show, then scheduled another visit and they cancelled, and schedule another visit for a 10 minute job. Seems as some new management is not doing a very good job. Will surely go to another business in the near future. read more

Last spring Carl's replaced the condenser on my split/AC unit. They did an excellent job with that at a fair market cost. So they owed me a free service check. Carl's sent their technician Hemal to perform said check. Hemal arrived on time, was very courteous and knowledgeable. Got up into the attic and checked the heating system. No issues found. Did the AC system check. All was well except the blower fan motor had a slight oil leak and the bearing has a moderate amount of play. Which I verified. Said the motor would have to be replaced in the near to not so distant future. Gave me a quote for the job and said to call them if I wanted them to do it. That's it. No sales pressure. Will use Carl's AC in the future. Good and reliable company. read more

Fast & reliable service. We "inherited" a Bryant furnace/AC installed by Carl's when we purchased the home. Used Carl's to service the unit. Enrique and Gabriel were great: responsive and didn't oversell. We've tried other service providers and won't make that mistake again; Carl's is the best. read more

On Monday I had Carl's install a new heating and air conditioning system. Darwin arrived at11am and Eric at noon. They thought it would take about 4 hours. Because my attic is so tight (more like a crawl space), they had to disassemble every piece. It was 90 degrees outside and much hotter in the attic. They completed the job at 8:15pm!! They were (rightfully) tired and exhausted. Yet the entire time, they worked ceaselessly and never complained. They couldn't have been nicer or more professional. They were both incredibly impressive! I have nothing but good things to say about everyone here that I spoke or interacted with. To be honest, we did encounter a couple of hiccups along the way. Yet Devin (installation manager) worked quickly to remedy things to the best of his ability. Quality, professionalism, and great work ethic seems to be the operative words at this company and I highly recommend them! read more

On at least two, separate occasions Carl's Air Conditioning has fixed problems for my family at a reasonable price. On both these occasions another company -- the name I won't mention -- tried to scam us into expensive repairs or into buying entirely new units. If you suspect some other HVAC company might be trying to rip you off I suggest you call Carl's Air Conditioning for a second opinion. They will tell you the truth. With the owner answering my complaint / review and did not even take reasonability for the technician messing up my air conditioner and thermostat several times this just tells me that they are very irresponsible and not caring. I initially contacted another company in town because my heat/furnace was not working, they came out to complete the repair and within a week my heat/furnace was not working again! The initial company came out a second time and told me I needed a whole new furnace, however my home is less than 5 years old and the furnace should be under warranty. I explained that I would need to do some research on the warranty and the gentleman got instantly annoyed that I was not wanting to buy a whole new furnace! Meanwhile, my home still had no heat (and it's been very cold the last few weeks)! I contacted the furnace manufacturer and they referred me to Carls AC! I contacted Carls and they sent Anthony, who was amazing! He came out and did his assessment and explained that I just needed a few parts to be replaced (and I didn't need a whole new furnace)! Last night we were in a panic! Turned on the AC for the first time this year and nothing but warm air! Now mom's coming over for Memorial Day and it's going to be 100 degrees outside. I asked around on Facebook, someone recommended Carl's and their reviews looked good so I called them this morning. The dispatcher said he'd have someone here around 1:00, then called an hour later and said he could be here at noon. Enrique, the tech, showed up at 11:50, checked out our system, and diagnosed it as a bad pump. He had the part in his truck and was able to replace it and be done by 1:00. Now mom's here and the house is nice and cool! Carl's didn't charge me an arm and a leg for coming out on a holiday, either. I am no longer worried about having heating/cooling problems now that I've found a reputable company to deal with. P.S. For honesty's sake, I have to downgrade from a ***** to a ****. We had another problem with the AC. When the tech came out to replace a busted processor-circuit thingy, he forgot to hook things back up completely. Oops! No AC for two days until I could get another one of their techs out. If the first guy had checked the system before leaving (what the guy in my first review did), I wouldn't have had to take another day off work. Meh, I'd still recommend Carl's, but just make sure they check their work before leaving. read more

Thanks to Carl's I am now sitting in a cool air conditioned house! Late last night the A/C went out and the house got very hot. I called 4 companies (all from Yelp) and Carl's was the only one where a live person answered. They told me someone would call in the morning and at 7:00 AM they did as promised. By 9:00 AM the technician (Enrique) was already at the house. None of the other companies had even returned my calls yet. Enrique took a look at the unit and quickly determined I had bad capacitors. He had the parts on hand and within minutes I had cold air coming out! He also noticed we were low on freon and added that for us. Just as the other reviews have said Carl's was fair and honest and unlike anyone else I called they came out quickly. My only little complaint is that I thought they would deduct the $70 service call fee from the bill which they didn't. I still think the price was very fair and I really appreciate them coming out quickly in the middle of summer. Carl's wil be my new A/C company in the future. read more
