So I was just on the 95 driving home from Henderson when I see this van from Bishop Air Service riding another cars bumper pretty much. The Bishop Air Service van kept breaking then speeding up, breaking then speeding up so finally I caught on because I was driving behind him. I drove up next to him and could see this man was clearly very mad so I called the number on the back of the van and spoke to the receptionist. She asked me a couple questions and said that someone would call me back and I told her that wasn't necessary he was driving like a douche and they can handle it how they want. HERE IS THE KICKER. 1 minute after I get off the phone with the lady from Bishop Air, I GET A CALL FROM THE MAN DRIVING THE CAR. He is yelling at me saying how I need to mind my own business and she was driving slow then proceeds to mock me like a 5 year old. There's so much wrong with this.... now my privacy is invaded because this angry man has my cell phone number when the lady said it was totally anonymous. I called the original number back and spoke to the same girl who answered the call and said I needed to speak to a manager and I've yet to receive a call back. Hired Bishop to install a new coil for my A/C unit. The tech installed the wrong size and put it in incorrectly, failed to put drain pans in and then boom- a water leak into my bedroom/bathroom. They totally messed up an east job, and the tech was a complete jerk from start to finish. I had to get my insurance involved to go after Bishop's insurance company to fix the job and then all the damage they caused. I spent the day in the attic preventing more water damage until a reputable company could assess the problem. A lot of my time and effort went unreimbursed in this mess. Stay away!!! read more

Rip Off!!!! Shameful!!!! Disgraceful!!! This company charged us $265 for a part that literally costs $20. And it only took the tech 15 min to change out the part. He inflated the price while he sat in his van and handed us an invoice with a scribbled number which had been changed from the initial price. They are a dishonest company. I have used another highly reputable HVAC company in the past, LinAir, and they only charged us $85 for the same part and labor. The only reason I didn't use LinAir this time was due to a friend who recommended Bishop. I thought I would give them a try, BUT NEVER AGAIN. They should be ASHAMED of themselves for charging us TRIPLE the amount for 15 min of labor and a $20 part. We even offered to tip the tech, but he knew he ripped us off. WORD TRAVELS fast and I will NEVER use or refer this company again. read more

I believe you can tell A LOT about a business by the way they conduct themselves while driving a company vehicle, wether on business hours or off the clock. I have to say this company vehicle #23 to be more exact represents your company on the roads very very poorly. Driving the 95 to Henderson this morning this van drove for a good 10 minutes right up my bumper and as soon as we hit slow traffic changed lanes and cut in front of me at still a very high rate of speed. Then proceeded to do the same to the vehicle in front until cutting through traffic and speeding away. At least at 85 mph. Business reviews are key nowadays, would definitely never work with a company that is aware of the risk their company vehicles are putting citizens through on probably a daily basis. I called Bishop Air on Thursday because the mini split unit in my garage quit working. They said a technician would be out Friday morning between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM . The technician, Mason showed up around 9:30 AM . He seemed like a pretty professional tech and checked out the unit starting with the main control board located in the compressor/ condenser unit . He checked all the fuses and the freon charge. He thought it must have been a power surge because we walked back into the garage and the air conditioning began running. I love this company so much, years ago I could have them do the work & have my homeowners reimburse me, the policy has changed & they will not do it anymore. I was forced to use another company (Dr.Cool) and after 10 days of no AC in August the Dr's "fix" broke the next day, now another 4 days later they are here for round two only this time they wanted to go up thru the second story of my home to the attic when I have ground units. I had a problem with my solar water heater so I called around to different companies. A couple of the companies said there was a leakage problem & I just needed to replace it, no other options. They gave me this information over the phone without even looking at my unit. I called Bishop Air who sent someone out immediately and corrected my problem which happened to be just two valves. I had another issue and Bishop came back out & told me all of my options and worked with me to get my unit corrected without the expense of buying a brand-new unit. I called Bishop Air Service after my A/C stopped working at about 9pm. I talked to Chuck on the phone at around 8:15 the next morning and said he would call me back when he could schedule a technician to come out and take a look. He called me back in less than 30 min and said he could have someone out within 2 hours. Art the technician was fantastic. He was confident it would be a capacitor, so he checked it first. I turned out he was right and he was able to replace it. Getting my unit up and running within an hour. He also check amperage draws on the compressor and the fan and they check out ok. everything was done in less than 4 hours after calling them. I can't say enough for this place in terms of service, adhering to appointment times, price, and above all friendliness. Here is the skinny: Several years ago, I've installed a solar hot water heat in my house. Glass tubes and pipes are on my roof that feed water back down to the hot water hear in my garage. Three weeks ago, I noticed water leaking through my ceiling. I contacted my plumber who came out to check it out. He said that the water was leaking from the solar unit and he doesn't service it. He shut the water off going to the solar panels and told me that I need to find someone else to service the unit. I was worried that I was going to have a disaster on my hands because the company that installed it is now out of business. I spent the next day literally on the phone all day attempting to find a company that is familiar with the solar systems and I was batting a zero. I finally came across Bishop. I called and spoke with Wayne. Wayne told me that they familiar with these systems and scheduled me an appointment for 8am the next day. Jesse arrived exactly at the scheduled time. He spent about an hour and a half troubleshooting the system. He informed me to call the owner, Ron the next day to get an update on repair cost, etc. Jesse was super friendly and didn't pressure me into anything. Actually, he didn't even give me pricing! Two days later, I called Ron. Ron spent 20 minutes on the phone with me. He didn't rush me off the phone. He actually discussed 4 different options for repair. I opted for removal. He scheduled an appointment with me for the following Monday at 8am. On Monday, Jesse and Mark was at my house exactly on time. They tore down the solar system. When they were finished, they cleaned up and hauled away some of the trash. Everything else was neatly stacked on the side of my house. The price they gave me to remove the system wasn't cheap, but they were able to do the job. A few minutes after they left, a licensed roofing company came to my house to give an estimate. The estimator told me that they don't remove solar panels. This goes to show that Bishop goes out of their way to get the job done and cater to their customers. I really liked the fact that there was no pressure to get the work done and everyone I has been in contact with has been super friendly. I will call this company again for future needs read more

I would give them a zero if I could. The owner was rude and unhelpful when I tried to narrow down when the tech would be there. I have tenants freezing in my rental property and she could care less. She said between 12-3 and I called to see when at 2:00 when nobody had showed. I asked if she could call the tech and if he could call in way so we would know. She yelled NO and offered no assurance if when I could expect him to show up. I told her make it 2:30 or forget it. She said no so I hung up. Work performed on 11/04/2013. The service technician, Randy, arrived right within the scheduled window of 2:00 to 4:00 pm on 11/04/2013. During the time that he was here Randy proved to be a very professional, knowledgeable and friendly person to talk to, not just about the HVAC issues at hand. The general impression that Randy made during the service call was that Bishop Air Service is primarily interested in properly maintaining and/or repairing the HVAC equipment that you presently own, if possible. He himself owns an HVAC unit that is still functioning after 30 years of use! With other companies (such as "One Hour Air" with their yearly advertisements in the Las Vegas Review-Journal), I have often felt that they are actually more interested in prematurely selling you new equipment, especially when one or more components of your HVAC system has reached and or exceeded the 10-20 year mark. Randy cleaned and didn't immediately replace our only slightly corroded flame sensor. During the heating system inspection, it was determined that the capacitor for our system blower was no longer functioning properly and replacing it at a cost of $133.00 ($140.00 less 5% Angie's List coupon) proved to be the only repair that we ended up needing. Overall, this was a very pleasant, informative and even enjoyable HVAC furnace inspection and I will certainly be contacting Bishop Air Service in the future if any unexpected problems arise as well as to have our AC checked in 2014. In the meantime - if possible - clone Randy, you could use more of him. Description of work: Bishop Air Service was contacted to come out and check our nearly 20-year-old furnace before the heating season really gets underway at a stated cost of $74.95 Total cost including aforementioned repair $207.95. read more

Just called Bishop Air Service regarding possible warranty service on a Goodman unit installed 6 years ago. They told me the warranty was only for 5 years, but I called Goodman and they told me that the warranty goes to 10 years if all the client does is register the unit after installation but Bishop Air Service does not mention this at the time of sale. In contrast, another A/C contractor I use who installs Trane simply warrantys their unit for 10 years with no tricks. I consider this an unethical practice by Bishop Air Service that according to Goodman is a standard industry practice but maybe it also depends on which contractor you use and which manufacturer, so for me it's no more Goodman and no more Bishop Air Service. Another gripe -- and this applies potentially to all A/C contractors especially in the warm months: how about not charging hundreds of dollars for a replaceable part that frequently fails (capacitor) that literally can be bought for $16 on Amazon. #INDUSTRYFAIL read more
