I recently contacted Black Mountain Air to schedule a Spring 'tune up'. When I called Kyra happen to answer the phone; she was the tech that performed the previous Fall tune up. After chatting a little bit, we scheduled an appointment. Yannik was scheduled to come to my house to perform a Spring tune up. I received an automated booking verification via the email and phone number I had provided. I received an email and text informing me of the name of the tech along with a photo of him, and verification of appointment day and time frame. I received email and text reminders the night before and the morning of the scheduled appointment. Yannick was on time, personable, and professional. He answered questions I had and then performed the tune up service. Payment for services rendered was handled upon completion of the service using a credit card reader. He emailed me the invoice and receipts at the time of the transaction. Again, I'm very pleased with services rendered. read more

We have been using Black Mountain air for a couple of years now for our normal bi-annual maintenance. Our old AC unit was 18 years old and we decided to replace it with a new unit. Black Mountain air gave us five options, and we chose the Trane 2-stage. The techs showed up on time. They were very professional and friendly. They cleaned up inside and out, and went over the unit and new thermostat with me. The whole process was painless and issue free. We definitely recommend Black Mountain air fear AC needs. read more

I don't want to seem like a fan boy or something but just had another flawless experience with BMA. Michael and the team are amazing. Great customer service, friendly with the kiddos and extremely talented in their craft. Office staff was great when it came to altering the appointment time due to me forgetting I had a previous commitment. Michael showed up on time and didn't rush any of my questions. He checked out some concerns I had and provided me peace of mind. Anyone struggling with who to call, needs to look no further. Rest assumed they are, in my opinion, the best in the business and overall one of those few companies in any industry where you can tell the staff enjoys what they do and is a great reflection on the culture of a company. read more

On Saturday (7/25/2026) our air conditioning was blowing hot air but still running. I called Black Mountain Air and got a return call in a very short time. Todd called back in a short time and said he would be out soon. He arrived, went to look at the outside unit, fixed the problem and we had air working again in short order. In my experience there are a number of good companies in the valley but Black Mountain Air, which we have been using for a number of years, is the best. We have used Black Mountain Air for replacing all 3 HVAC units in the last 18 months. Installer Brandon has done all 3 and is prompt, friendly and professional as well as appreciative of the food and drinks we leave out while installation is in process. We like using small businesses when it makes sense and this is one of those I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Drywall panel was cut while installing and owner sent guy out asap to repair and paint. It's customer service like that I love and appreciate. Any time I had an issue, it's a same day response and technician at my door! Thank you to staff and owner of BMA! Well done in a competitive market!! read more

Black Mountain Air has taken care of my air conditioning repairs three times over the last few years. I've been pleased with their service and work each time. My most recent repair was in June. We returned from a weekend away to find that our upstairs unit was out. Black Mountain has online booking so I immediately made an appointment that way. On a Sunday evening I was able to get an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. This was in the middle of 110+ degree temperatures so I was worried the wait would be longer. Robert arrived on Tuesday afternoon and I was glad to see him. He's the same technician that repaired my air conditioning a year prior. I like his honest, no pressure approach. Robert took a look and determined the part that caused the problem. He was honest with me that the unit was now working. He let me know that the repair would be $600, but asked if I wanted to wait since the unit was working. I decided to go ahead with the repair since my toddler was refusing to sleep in the only bedroom with air conditioning and my parents were coming for a 10 day visit. I felt good about that decision and with spending the money because Robert wasn't pushy. It was such a hot day and Robert got right to work in the attic. He had everything done in about an hour. It was the best experience I could ask for with a broken air conditioning unit. I'm so appreciative that Robert was able to assess the problem and complete the repair so quickly. read more

So so disappointed. I've been a long time customer of this business. I've sent many customers their way and even wrote a favorable Yelp review years ago. I called them to my home because my fan motor (that blows the air through the house) went out. The temperature inside is up to 96° in the bedrooms. You know what it's like in Vegas. I'm recovering from surgery and I have a relative staying with me who is recovering from a brain injury who needs to stay cool. The technician came out climbed up into the attic a half hour later came down and told me that their supervisor said they don't want to deal with it because the fan is too old. The part of the unit that holds the fan is about 20 years old. The rest of the system is only 7 years old. I know a little bit about HVAC and fans are easy to replace, not a big deal. I also know enough about the HVAC business that the price point is much higher if they can sell you a new unit than do a simple repair during the high volume season, which is now. I'm just so saddened and hurt that a company I endorsed would just turn its back on me especially when we need their help for health purposes. They showed me their true colors and I hope others who read this will see those colors too. Shame on them. By the way I called another company and did the job in an hour. Response to owner: You are very wrong. 1. your company was the last company to service this machine. The faulty work was done by your people. 2-The house is not 27 years old so neither is the unit. 3. You failed to see the issue here? 103° heat with a couple sick people You make them wait for an appointment and then you refuse to do the work? That's fine with you? 4. Lastly I never ever refuse to pay for service ever with you or anybody else. That's not me. You and I and the people reading this all know if I refused to pay you for previous work you wouldn't have sent somebody out so I appreciate you being truthful. read more

Wow! 3 years of having this company and I have to write a review. 1. We have 3 new units they installed and they are a great value for installs 2. We have had a couple of minor issues which Todd who I believe is the owner quickly resolved and paid personal attention to. He is an outstanding business operator and owner that takes excellent care of his customers and does it without making it hard in the customer. 3. Office staff answers the phone every time and takes care of the issues immediately never have to wait to know when they are coming. 4. Honest and fair. They are honest people who are fair and reasonable in their pricing. Can't say enough about honesty these days. 5. Techs. Every single person I have dealt with has been exceptional. Without a doubt the most consistent quality people I have met in the business. 6. Company culture. From an outsider looking in, I have to say that everyone there seems happy to do their job and cares about the customers. I would recommend this company to everyone I know as I feel that not only do they deserve the business, but if everyone were like them the world would ne a better place. Thank you Black Mountain Air! read more

An also appreciate they went the extra mile to lock an secure our home. I have a lot of security feature in my house but you have to close the door to active them . My upstairs AC died on Thursday and Black Mountain Air was able to squeeze me in on Friday. I can't say enough good things about this company. They won't upsell you, they won't cheat you, they won't pressure you, they won't sell you a bigger system than you need.....none of the garbage that seems to permeate this industry. From Kyra in the office to the guys in the field (Andrew, Michael and another super friendly guy whose name I can't remember), everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and they're just overall good people. Even the owner Todd called me after hours with some concerns about the tonnage they had recommended earlier after he had looked up my upstairs square footage on the assessors website. He didn't pressure me and let me make the call; he just provided the information and his concerns and that was it. I'm not sure why other companies think the best way to operate is to try to screw people over. Black Mountain does it right and that's why they keep getting 5 star reviews. Even though replacing an AC unit costs a lot of money, I actually felt really good after this experience....like I was taken care of and left in a much better situation than I was in before the old unit failed. Losing an AC unit is stressful and Black Mountain made it so easy. Oh and their prices are fair, too! read more

A 5 stars installation! Black Mountain is a very good company. They are honest in their dealing with me, for the last 9 years as my bi-annual checkup for my HVAC, and I'm sure with other customers as well. From estimates to installation everyone was highly professional and with transparency. Office manager, Kyra, was on the ball 100%. Any time I have a question she is able to give an answer immediately or she checks with her sources and get back to me asap. She is Very efficient. The installation crew, Tyler, Brandon, Mike and Mikie, were very professional, friendly, courteous and answered any questions I have. Attention to details in every aspect of the installation process were top notch. Best of all they worked well together. I would recommend Black Mountain Air to my friends and family without reservations. read more

In Vegas it is very difficult to find fair and honest service companies. I have found one with Black Mountain Air. They have worked on my AC/heat for a few years now and every time I have dealt with them it's been great. My air went out once and when they came, they said it was just a loose wire and fixed it at no charge. When the unit has needed repairs their prices are much better than the other companies. On top of everything else their customers service is amazing. I had an issue with my heat and they called me a couple times just to check if it was still working. It's a pleasure to do business with them. read more

I am extremely dissatisfied with the way I was treated by this company. They came out for a service call my upstairs was freezing and the thermostat was supposed to be off. I have a newborn baby, my electrical bill doubled because there was something wrong and they said everything was normal. The next day I called with the same issue and they scheduled an appointment and then called me back to say they wouldn't be able to come because an "emergency" call came up. I spoke with the owner who you would think would take responsibility for the issue and left us completely frustrated. I will never recommend or use this company again do yourself a favor take your business elsewhere. read more

This company with over 100 Yelp reviews averaging 5-Stars caught my attention when it came time to find a supplier for our new home ac/furnace unit. They were among the finalists and we selected them because they replied quickly to all our questions, provided a very detailed estimate, and offered the most competitive price. The company rep, Todd, was helpful in helping us select the equipment best suited for our needs. The all-day installation occurred as scheduled and was completed within the estimated time window. The courteous installers, Michael and Mason, sedulously worked to get the job done on time and made sure our home was kept as clean as possible throughout the job. After a final check of the equipment and providing us with the product warranties, they had us and our ac/furnace system humming! read more

In all honesty... hands down the BEST company I've ever dealt with! From the people who answer the phones to the technicians that come out to do the work, I've never had a bad experience with this company. We had air conditioning problems about 2 years ago, someone came out a few days later and had the problem fixed within a few hours (or so we thought). When I called back to say the problems had come back, the woman I spoke with was so apologetic and sincere. It made me feel like she personally cared about mine and my family's well being. She said the technician would come out the very next day. Then the dreaded news, we needed to replace the unit. We knew the units were old when we bought the house but we thought that they might last longer than they did. We weren't able to replace them right away but now that we are able to replace them, the first people I thought to call was black mountain air. Again, the person I spoke to on the phone was friendly and got someone out a few days after I called for a quote. The technician that came out was also friendly and respectful and, after a long 2 year wait, we are FINALLY getting our new units. Thank you Black Mountain Air! If anyone ever asks us who they should call, we're sending them your way. read more

Amazing g Response time and honest dependable company! We always use them and I have used Yelp messenger to make and secure appt! I messaged during the heat wave Saturday morning and they responded and was at my house an hour later ... I can't begin to thank them enough! Honesty is what's Important!! We had a new AC/heating system installed by Black Mountain Air less than 2 years ago. We had an issue recently where it appeared our AC was not turning on as needed. We called and the very next day they sent their technician, Robert to check it out. He was very thorough and not only saw what the problem was, he fixed it, and checked the entire system just to be sure. He made some recommendations to prevent the incident from happening again. Best yet - we were still under their 2 year warranty and the entire visit was covered. Wow!! If you have not tried this company, you should. read more

My folks had their AC unit replaced by Black Mountain Air, so when my AC unit started freezing over I gave them a call. Tech #1 comes out, spends 5 minutes on the roof, tells me its fine and to change my filters. He did not even look at the filters, he just left. I use lifetime filters rated for my system and wash them on the first of every month. They were squeaky clean. I called the office back and asked that they send a different tech out. The next day tech #2 comes out, spends 5 minutes on the roof, and tells me it's fine. He says I'm running the AC too hard and need to turn the thermostat up to 80 when it's hot out. I've lived in this house for 10 years and never had the thermostat ever set that high. I called the office back and asked for yet another tech. He comes out and spends 5 minutes on the roof, says its fine up there and it's got to be an airflow issue, might be an issue with the ductwork. He doesn't do that though, so he said to call the office back and left. I called them back and they gave me the runaround and did not want to send a tech out to address the ductwork in the attic. I went into the attic myself and could not find any issues with the ductwork. Eventually they sent one more tech out who also believed it to be an airflow issue, also said everything on the roof is fine, and also refused to get into the attic and check the ductwork. Absolutely fed up with Black Mountain Air, I did some searching online and called Fire N Ice. Told them the whole history and they send a duct expert out. He spent 5 minutes in the attic and said the ductwork is fine, so he went to the roof to inspect the unit. A few minutes later he comes down the ladder with two parts in hand - the capacitor and the contactor for the blower motor, both scorched black and refuse to pass any current on a tester. This whole time, my blower motor was not getting power at all, and the only airflow we were feeling was from the fan on the compressor itself! Fire N Ice had the parts replaced and the system back up 100% inside an hour, they did a great job. Black Mountain Air's utter incompetence could have easily burned up my compressor and left me with a completely avoidable several thousand dollar bill. I would not trust any tech at this shop to do so much as change a filter, because they can't even tell when one is clean or dirty. They charged me hundreds of dollars to do less work on the system than I have done myself! Avoid this shop like COVID-19! read more

Could not be happier with our choice. From the initial contact, great service. Called for a service call in late April for a potential problem with a 27yr old unit. We decided to replace our entire a/c, which included the outside unit and in attic air handler. They had a slot open the next morning and we took it. Said they would show at 7am and they were right on time. 4 guys, very professional and right to work. Whole thing done around 11am and excellent outcome. Cleaned everything up at the end to leave the condo as they found it. Really happy with our choice and highly recommend. read more

I Had Black mountain air come out to turn on our heater last Fall, the tech convinced me to agree to their service contract, guaranteeing that they would come out 2 to 4 times per year and would follow up with me! I want to take a moment to express how thoroughly satisfied I was with this company. Often times as a consumer we see far too often people taking short cuts, inflating prices, or not taking pride in the product they produce. I can say you will not experience any of that with Black Mountain Air. It was time to replace two AC units at my house as well as both furnaces after almost 16 years of service & being the original units installed when the house was built. I began with researching AC units, & then started scheduling appoints for estimates. Each company was carefully reviewed by me as much as I feasibly could. After getting 4 estimates, I decided to go with Black Mountain Air, not only because the price was very competitive, but they offered an excellent warranty but most of all they didn't attempt to push any AC brand on me. In fact they went over numerous brands with me over the phone & what they thought each one did better or differently than the last. This was a big job, it took the crew two full days to complete it, but not only did they do a quality job on this large project they did it with pride in the craftsmanship of their work. Down to wrapping the UV tape on the pipes outside, perfectly. They even inspected each others work, to make sure it was done right!! On the first day of the job the crew ran into an issue with the furnace hangers in the attic, the new equipment would fit & they could have easily squeezed it in there & made it "work" but no they didn't. When speaking to Will one of the lead technicians he said "I don't like the way this was done, we're pulling it all out & redoing it all because that's the right way you do a job like this, if another technician services your furnaces I want them to make sure they have easy access to the panels. Hours later after hamming, drilling, & all sorts of noise in the attic they basically rearranged the furnace hangers and positioned the two furnaces so they were clean, accessible, and done right. Later in the evening the owner Todd came by to assist with the work as well as make sure I was ok with them pulling a late night to make it right. The next day they completed the furnaces, both AC units, and tested everything to make sure it was working correctly with no issues. They covered the floor, closet, etc. with plastic & vacuumed up every section of the house they were in. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend this company, they have actual tradesman that take real pride in the craftsmanship of the work they do, that's rare these days. It's truly the philosophy & the PEOPLE that make this company great. read more

So, of course our 20 year old AC unit goes out in the middle of summer with an excessive heat warning. We had home warranty which we did not use but that is a rant all by itself. I researched HVAC companies because for our situation, the home warranty was literally taking forever despite the weather was averaging 108F. We had to find someone that could do something ASAP same day or next. Inside our house, was averaging 98F and we were without AC for 10 days! Would have been more days if we still had waited for Home Warranty... (American Home Shield). Living in the desert, AC is a necessity and a priority. Our compressor went out but decided to install the whole system because ours was 20 yrs old anyways. I went online to schedule a free estimate because it was after hours. The estimator came in, did some measurements, was friendly, put on his booties and mask, etc. The estimate wasn't the cheapest but wasn't the most expensive. We got a 14Seer Trane 3 ton split system, furnace, coils, etc, the whole shabang. Desperate times made me want to go with whoever could replace it TODAY. What ultimately led me to go with Black Mountain Air was their awesome customer service of pretty much everyone I talked to or met, as well as the 2 year labor warranty with their company (most is just 1 yr). My Trane system has 10 yrs parts warranty. Also reading other peoples reviews and the fact that they had 5 stars. After experiencing my home warranty, I do not want to risk anything less than 5 stars for HVAC companies. They do offer financing through a third party. Although my wife has great credit we ended up with 10.99%. I would suggest your own financial institution because I thought that was high but we wanted it done right away and at least they had financing options. I scheduled work for the next available day. We almost had to wait another day because the condenser was going to come in the day of but they didn't know at what time. Todd texted me to keep the work scheduled as planned and install it when it comes in. Luckily the part came in not too late in the day and they were able to install it completely that day. Michael and Will came in around 8am, finished around 4pm. Super nice and friendly, they put down a sheet so they wouldn't mess up my carpets, cleaned up after the work was done. Did a check on the system, gave me my paperwork, and everything was good to go. A drywall guy, Jose came a couple days later to patch up the attic area. He was friendly as well. Black Mountain is very communicative, transparent with everything, and priced competitively. They were updating me via email and text which I appreciate. Although they say they have emergency services, there's no emergency hotline. I did however email them after hours and got a text back within an hour from Todd the owner. So there's some assurance there, for when I have problems in the future if it's an emergency (hopefully not anytime soon). Hope this review helps with the timeline and process of getting your AC fixed or replaced! Happy and COOL with my AC sytem! read more
