Enter: Lin Air, aka the HVAC heroes I didn't know I needed but will now forever worship They showed up to my place like the AC Avengers -- on time, professional, and ready to save me from melting into my floorboards. The crew was super chill (pun intended ), didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need, and got a new condenser installed faster than I could say "is this hell or just Nevada in August?" Keep in mind, my unit is 20+ years old -- basically a relic from the Ice Age -- but they still brought it back to life. Great experience from start to finish! We first started having problems with our a/c in July. (The hottest summer on record!) The technician was on time,efficient and precisely explained the suspected issue A leak in the system. He added Freon to our system which got us through until October We called LinAir and they were able to come out that day!! We installed an entire new HVAC system, 5 Ton 14 Seer, split gas system and a 5 ton 14 seer stainless steel condenser. Brent from Lin-Air provided our estimate, answered all our questions, I means ALLLLL of them and arranged the install for a day and time that was convenient. We work from home so was nervous about disruptions, but this crew knew what they were doing, they were in and out of our home in three hours. Like HVAC Ninjas! It was flawless. This company has been around for many years, we have luckily never needed new equipment until now. I will only recommend them and use them from here on out for any of our heating or cooling needs. My A/C started acting 'wonky', cycling on and off. I thought it probably needed new batteries in the thermostat, so replaced them. Of course, it was Friday night! House was cool enough until the sun came up Saturday morning; the cycling began again. I called Lin Air's 24/7 line and left a message. Their very sharp office girl (I'm a Great Grandma and can say that!) called me back within 30 minutes, had Roy on his way our within the hour! On a Saturday! He got up on the roof, did a little magic, and got it running. He said it needed a capacitor(?) and he or another tech would be back Monday or Tuesday. I was cool all weekend, and first thing Monday our super-girl called and ssid they could come that morning. Zack came, spent 20-30 minutes and was done. Both guys were pleasant, professional. My home has two a/c units and the smaller of the two decided to stop working last night. It wasn't a crisis situation since it only affected the master bedroom and bath. This morning I contacted Lin-Air and was happily surprised when I was able to get someone to come out within three hours for the repairs. Considering it was a Saturday and a holiday weekend, I expected to hear I'd have to schedule a service call for Tuesday at the earliest. Roy arrived and quickly determined it was a bad capacitor and took care of the issue quickly and also did a courtesy check on the larger a/c unit that was running ok. We also discussed the possibility of replacing this a/c system since it's more than 15yrs old now. He was very receptive to answering all my questions and didn't try using any scare tactics to push me into buying a new system right away. He was open and honest with me about potential problems I might start experiencing given the age of the units. He also explained to me when a better time of the year would be to invest in a new a/c system that would offer better pricing. I appreciated Roy's candor and honesty with me. He's a very personable, nice fellow who I would entrust with my future a/c needs. This was the first time I have used this company. I awoke yesterday hot and sweaty. I checked my thermostat and it read 84 degrees! I hadn't touched it and it was blowing hot air! So I turned it off. I called Lin-Air and within three hours, Layne, came and found the problem right away. The fan that cools the outside unit had shut down. He was able replace the motor, clean up the fan, reinstall it and had it running. He also came in to make sure all the vents were running air appropriately. He was friendly, told me what was wrong, was able to fix it and have everything up and running. The service was excellent, the cost was fair and reasonable. One of my AC units wasn't operating as efficiently as it used to. Roy came out and discovered a small refrigerant leak in my system. He fixed it and had my system up and running quickly. An attempt at switching out the fan motor in our outside unit ourselves failed and we couldn't figure out why. With the unit partially disassembled tech Roy figured out we had wired it incorrectly and blew the fuse box! I was scared we'd need an electrician but he replaced it and reassembled everything correctly. All for $250. read more
