Reasonable prices for the location and the food. Our meal for two with wine and dessert was almost the same as eating a salad for 2 at Don Carlos Resort for lunch. They're seafood oriented and everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. They served a lot of a fish dish with the fish baked in a salt crust. Also, a lot of paella ( yes I know I'm not supposed to use that term unless I'm in Valencia). Service is typical for Spain but in their defense they were very busy. Rafa and his son Simon worked very hard to meet our needs. Overall experience is 5 stars. We have already made a reservation for our last night in Marbella and I already know I'm getting the patatas bravas, tempura langostinos, the seafood paella with a bottle of cava ending with strawberries and ice cream. The sunset makes everything wonderful.

Thus I also like to share restaurant that only deserve 4 stars and above. Anything less than this, I do not want to spend time on writing about it. The restaurant size is about 50 person in door and about the same size outdoor-means smoking is permitted outdoor. The place is simple but nicely decorated. The menu is clean and simple. The lobster, scalop and tuna tartar all tasted fresh and simple. Main courses are beef fillet, duck breast and sea bass. The best is the duck, it's not gamy and the meat is tendered-perfectly cooked. The fillet was well done and the same bass is good but not the best. Overall this is highly recommended if you a nice and inexpensive dinner.

As with many other Spanish restaurants, this place opens up for lunch, then closes and don't open again until later that night. This is a very popular place to eat at lunchtimes, even for locals. You get a three course meal, including one beverage (a beer, a coke, a glass of wine) for 10 euros. The selection for lunch is a bit limited, as you got fewer dishes (changes every day) to choose from. If you go to dinner, I really recommend the shrimp and avacado dish as a starter. Then move on to their entrecôte with pepper sauce. I can swear that this is the best meat I've ever eaten. Really tender! I've also hear only good things about their roasted lamb, but have never tried it. If you're tough, order the calamari. It's deep fried squid rings, which remind me a bit of onion rings but they are a bit more chewy. Finish your evening with a dessert and the spanish liqueur, Cuarenta Y Tres (Licor 43) on the rocks (with ice). Remember to say hello to their parrot.
