What a surprise to find this gem on the beach in Marbella. We were expecting something commercial and touristy but were tired from all the walking. What a pleasant surprise. Though it was walking distance from our hotel, we waited until our last day to go. This place has great views of the ocean! Servers were very friendly & were so patient with our efforts to speak Spanish. (They spoke fluent English.) As soon as we sat, we were offered Malaga wine & Fried sardines! Perfect appetizers which mAde us feel so welcome. We truly enjoyed the Enselada Cristina, Mejilones Vinagreta (Avocado Salad- a new experience), for starters. The Magret de Pato al Vino Malaga complemented the Paella Negra very well. We topped it off with Crema Catalana for a perfect lunch! We couldn't have said goodbye to Malaga any other way. read more

Very bad business practices! Waiter placed bread and butter on the table before we even looked at the menu, therefore we ate the bread and butter, assuming it was complimentary. Overhearing the ladies behind us complaining that they were charged for bread automatically without asking for it , their waiter simply said that they ate it. My husband said he saw there was a 6.50 charge for bread at very bottom but again didnt think anything of it cause we were all getting apps and dinner. When our bill came we saw we were also charged for the bread (which was not good bread and butter in small plastic cups)! we didn't complain, just paid the bill but when we come back for vacation we will be sure to never return nor will we ever suggest this restaurant! again VERY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! read more

Very nice well run restaurant right on the beach. Very large menu did not disappoint. Fresh fish and service were excellent. Very good views. The dining experience was better than Inexpected for a beach restaurant. Not impressive when you walk up but the meals are top notch. read more

Walked here from the Marriott Beach Club for dinner. Fella that took our order didn't speak a lot of English but more than I speak Spanish. Had salads and the seafood paella which was pretty good. If it wasn't our last night here I'd eat here again. read more

Wonderful lunch & dinner, perfect view overlooking the beach. Best tasting & presented Gamones al Pil Pil we've tried to date. Just note that they, like all the locals charge a couple of Euros for each piece of bread appetizer...stop them before they hit the table or they're yours! read more

After visiting and enjoying Christina seven years ago, we were anxious to try it again. So glad we were not disappointed! Food still good, staff either speaks some English or are happy to call over someone who can. Can't beat the location, sit outside and watch the ocean! read more

They where pretty rude and we asked them if they charged for water and bread and they pretended they didn't understand English. But the weird thing was is that when we ordered, they fully understood us. Their papaya was not that great but their garlic shrimp was great. When we got the bill we were ASTOUNDED!!! They charged us ten dollars in water when we didn't even want it and we asked for 1 extra roll of bread and in bread a bill of 14 dollars. Christina on the beach has always been our go to place for fresh fish or seafood while we stayed at the Marriott on the Costa del Sol enhanced by the lapping waves of the Meditteranian only a few feet away ....it normally doesn't get better than this. Having dined at Christina at least 9 or 10 times, I had never been disappointed until tonight .As usual the anchovies in vinegar were flawless...I ordered 4 large prawns including 2 pinkish langoustine Cigalas and 2 scarlet Carabinaros .....Unfortunately I found that this particular selection of prawns was not fully satisfying because of a relatives sparseness of "prawn meat" and a slight bitterness in the preparation.... Having been to Christina multiple times I can say that I've never had this experience before.... Hopefully I'm not being too critical, but nevertheless, that is my general impression.Moreover the waiters seemed a bit rushed making it quite difficult to attract their attention. It took a great deal of effort to get the dessert menu and finally our bill. We will certainly return since Christina's has always been 4 to 5 stars in my book. Hopefully,this will be a "one time" flawed experience... My rating for Christina tonight is three stars, but normally I would give Christina 4 to 5 stars based on my previous dining experience... Bottom line is that you cannot rely on location alone. read more
