Maybe Yelp can fix this and remove this note. ] My first encounter with T-CPE was to service my Honda lawnmower, HR2166VXC, an older model but top of the line residential except not battery start. I took it to one other shop, not a dealer, twice but it still did not run right. Gary fixed it so that it is running better than ever before. (I did not acquire it new.) He rebuilt the carburetor, as had the other shop, but there was still a minor issue or two. He ordered a new carb but they shipped the wrong one. So he put on one from stock that he had rebuilt previously. Even then, the values needed adjustment. After all that, the bill was less than $100. Very reasonable, in my view. Basically, he did not charge for the extra hassle. I bought a couple of Stihl Kombi tools today. No BS, no pressure from Gary. Just good information on the tools, what would be the best for the job, and a little on how to use them. BTW, I am in Burnaby, so considered a Burnaby Honda PE dealer. Yelp reviews were patchy, so I dropped in to get a feel. Twice. I much prefer the attitude at T-CPE.

We had Leafguard gutters installed following a referral through Costco in April 2014. I had…read morepreviously requested a quote a couple of years earlier but wasn't yet prepared to pay for the steep cost of the Leafguard system at that point. When I called for again for quote this spring (I hadn't kept the previous quote, but assumed it would have been lower), the very same estimator arrived to walk me through the options and pricing. We signed the paperwork on the spot - something I remembered from the first visit that they try very hard to get you to do - and scheduled an installation date a couple of weeks away. I got a courtesy call a day or so before from one of the crew members to ask if I had any questions before the installation. The crew showed up as scheduled, texted me when they arrived (as the estimator had offered to do, since I had an infant that might have been awoken by the ringing of a doorbell), and worked very efficiently. There were two guys who did the removal of the old gutters, measuring, and installation of the new gutters. A third person attended for a shorter time with the fabricating truck that extrudes the new gutters to the exact length required. The pair worked diligently and got the job done in about half a day despite the miserable rain outside. I had asked one of them whether they had gloves they could use, but he mentioned that when they wear gloves the (white) gutters tend to get dirty. Talk about taking one for the team. The new gutters have been installed for a little over a month now. It hasn't rained too much, but when it does I do notice that water drips down the edges of the Leafguard gutters. I've read online that this is common (and even dangerous in areas where the drips turn into icicles). So far I'm not terribly concerned. It is still a big improvement over my dilapidated old gutters, which had a "waterfall" feature in sections whenever it rained! I'm also told that it takes a while for the static electricity to build up sufficiently around the gutters to solidify the "liquid adhesion" that causes the rainwater to flow into the gutters. In any event, there's enough overhang that whatever water ends up dripping down is probably far enough away from my foundation to be problematic (I hope.)

After getting absolutely no service and seeing nothing of quality or style at the big stores it was a treat to walk into Siema. After being greeted by the very friendly Ammar we wandered through the showroom drooling over all of the vanities. Before long my husband came to me with the 'I found the one.' look on his face. Yes he had! Lacquered doors, quartz counter, porcelain basin, beautiful faucet and soft-closing doors and drawers. As Ammar went off to get the price list I braced myself. I was expecting it to be really expensive compared to what we saw at Rona. Sure it was more expensive but you're getting what you pay for. We also got a toilet there and even its design is elegant (hey it's your porcelain throne right?) and simple.
