They were not expecting it to be that popular. I am kind of desperate and really need that one can. I have 4 panels left unpainted. If I do not get my hands on the paint then I will have to wait til October which means I can not paint until next year. I have to say the quality of Dulux paint is not bad. The place is very big and very open. Lots of paint options. Staff are helpful to answer questions I have.

Perfect for been seen at night. I walked in and out pop a lone employee for the back. He was very friendly. I'm not a handy person. I usually paint my foot or my face when attempting to do some home renovations, but I needed to paint over the hole I patched up. Luckily for me, I had the paint code from the paint contractors on my phone. I showed my phone to the morning manager. He was very helpful with questions. Clearly, he know I was a total geek not being handy. My paint was mixed by the computer and shaken. I was in and out in 10 minutes. During the late morning and afternoon, you can expect more traffic and busier times. Contractors are offered coffee while they wait. Sometimes, they have a appreciation lunch for long time one customers and maybe the few non handymen out there.

I called before coming to the shop, the lady was very helpful over the phone with choices and prices. She sounds very friendly. As I arrived to the shop on a Saturday afternoon, it was busy, 4 staffs with about 6-8 set of customers, but staffs are very attentive, would come to me even when they have customers who are thinking. Staffs are very helpful when I have questions about using paint the first time, short and sweet tips. Staffs also make sure I have tools to use the paints, can openers and stirring sticks, but not pushy about other products, My 2 custom paints were made within 15 minutes, very efficient! I would definitely come back for paint in the future!

I understand that they also have an in house design service that is there to answer any and every design question you can throw at them. They also have a full selection of types of paint, brushes, rollers, tape, and drop sheets. One of my favourite things is the convenient parking located in the rear and is perfect for a pick up and run occasion, no meters or traffic to deal with!

The staff…read morehere are more than helpful, definitely go above and beyond. 2 years ago I had created a custom colour paint that I now needed to match. I did not have the name of the painter who did this previous job. Without even asking, the store manager started digging through over 1000 invoices that were in a 6 month range. She did this knowing that I am not a professional painter or a high-volume buyer, but a simple retail customer. After we found the colour, which took some work, I explained my current project and was given the best products for the job. I was advised to have 1 gallon turned into spray cans as this is best for the use of stencils. The prices are better than a large chain like Rona or Home Depot. The people who work there are all very knowledgable. I highly recommend buying paint here or even calling for expert advice for your project. If you are doing your own home renovations or any other project, you should have the experts at Cloverdale Paint help you. PS. I noticed a lot of professional painters come in while I was there. I'd say they are great for professionals and other commercial customers based on the traffic and general friendly, "know each other" attitude I observed.

I was told that the City provides free paint and that I have to paint it myself. I said fine I'll do it. So I went to pick up the paint where the City told me to go and they already had the paper work there. But the guy working there wouldn't give me the paint! He called some idiot (probably his supervisor) who started asking me questions and telling me things like: "you have to get permission from BC Hydro", blah, blah, blah. He said he'll give me a call after he looks into it. He never did. They wasted my time and got me aggravated even though I had the permission by email from the City to get the free paint. The guy working there (an East Indian young fellow by the name on Tomas, I think that's how he spelled it) didn't know what he's doing. I called and asked him for the paint again but he wouldn't agree on it. So I called the City Hall and complained about the store. I'm going to pick up the paint at a different location. I'm never going to Dulux's 2630 Main St location.

So I managed to get my hands on it. Service here is not bad. There are free parking at the back. But you have to enter from East 10th. It just happens that at the back is a one way street. The place is very organized but I suggest you first thing walking in is to get help. It makes life a lot easier.
