While it seems they completed the tree care…read moresufficiently; the two workmen today were careless about where the company's vehicle blocking my assigned spot. Parking is an issue in most townhouse neighborhoods; but my complaint involves the 10 minutes I was left standing and watching while waiting for the man operating the "lift" to answer my concern. This was not mid-day. This was @ 6:10 pm when many in the neighborhood return from the office. It wasn't an option to park temporarily in the neighbor's spot. The "lift" operator saw me approach on foot. But, he continued to lift logs to load onto the truck. It would have taken 60-90 seconds for him to shift the vehicle forward. Instead, he ignored me even though I stood next to the truck. When he put the lift in reverse, he did check my location to know I wasn't in his path; but he refused to acknowledge my presence. The company's customer service today equals zero to the negative numbers! It was insulting to be ignored in such a manner for the entire 10 minutes. In order for this company to remain in business, I sincerely hope more is done to address methods for interacting with business customers. Finally, the coworker moving the logs on the truck addressed me and said he'd move his truck when the job was finished. A few minutes later, my neighbor came out of his house stating the truck needed to be moved because he needed to exit the neighborhood. The employee working on the truck only then moved it. Deplorable customer service!

I am completely mortified with the service that I received today from Desy General Contractor, LLC…read more Desy was hired to trim the shrubs and trees surrounding our home in order to even out the growth. When I got home, I realized that my beautiful shrubs and trees are destroyed after Desy butchered the plants with an electric trimmer that left ugly, unevenly cut exposed areas lacking any greenery on shrubs. The trees were even worse. Trees that were once full are reduced to a collection of bare sticks with occasional patches of leaves. This in the middle of summer during some of the hottest weather of the year. Those greeneries are not going to grow back for months, maybe years. I had beautiful lush shrubs and all I asked is that they were trimmed back a little. I do NOT recommend Desy General Contractor. When he came by to do the estimate he quoted $100 for trimming and $30.00 for mowing the lawn. The damage that he has done to our trees and shrubs surpass the cost of $100 for trimming and I refuse to pay for such sloppy and horrible work. You truly get what you pay for. Do yourself and your plants a favor and hire real professionals.

I had dealings with Local Boys before I read their Yelp reviews. The first time I used them, they…read morewere reasonably priced, fast, and professional. The second time i was looking for a tree company, I almost passed them up based on reviews. My wife said, that they were the crew I used before and we had good results so what happened? I did a bit of research on their yelp reviews and found this out: there are some miserable people out there. If you are one of those folks that can only write bad reviews and have nothing constructive to say than quit posting. I swear, Yelp should cull the herd on folks that only review negatively. One person has had such horrible luck with damages caused by a variety of contractors that she should be homeless by now, based on that destructiveness of all the people she hired. Get a life, be constructive and quit trying to get something for nothing. I will say this about the Local Boys, they are the best in this area, period. I found far better reviews of their company on another website. So we called Jason and he remembered us. He came over, gave us a fair quote, told us what we could reasonably expect to happen to our property (we had 4 HUGE trees right next to the house) and that he could do it tomorrow if we want. He didn't use some " this price is only good for the next 24 hours" pressure tactic to try to get our business. He is an honest, local, polite, man that looks out for his customers and his crew. His crew is also professional, skilled labor, not day laborers picked up from the front of some convenient store. The team showed up early, brought a ton of gear and started working right away. Now I should mention that if you have never had 100+ foot poplars removed from your property there is quite a bit of residual "damage" that occurs. By damage, I mean some divots when branch's and tree chunks hit the ground, the inevitable snow fall of sawdust from the chainsaw, the tracks left from tractors that are carrying 500 lb pieces of wood across your wet, freshly rained on yard, and the huge pile of sawdust from a PROPERLY ground stump. Jason and the crew did their best to limit the above problems. They laid plywood down on the ground for the tractor to drive on and to reduce the track damage to my yard. They raked the tracks that were not covered ny plywood and reseeded the lawn when they were done. When the tree removal was done, they steel raked all the divots and tractor marks and used a leaf blower to get the majority of sawdust off of everything in my yard. They did everything they possibly could to mitigate damage and repair damage after it occurred. Would I recommend them? Hell yes. In fact, three of my neighbors came to see what the hell I was doing and immediately got quotes for work they wanted to do. Two neighbors will be getting work done tomorrow. The third will probably not be far behind because you won't find a better price for the quality of work done. So for all you negative nellies out there, get a life. I believe in this company so much I let them leave their tractors in my driveway and gear at my house so they can help my neighbors. I don't do that for everybody. Next year, I will have more work done and I know who I'm going to call. Those Local Boys are welcome at my house anytime. Check out my photos to see the proof of professionalism and expertise these guys have.
