Mike and his team did a great job at my home. He removed 5 trees and pruned almost every other tree in my yard. Regarding the tree removal, great care was taken to ensure no large limbs would cause damage as they were lowered. As for the pruning, you can tell that many members of his team had a keen eye ... so that canopies were lifted properly, thinning was at the right level, with a great attention to detail all around. In addition, Mike was very accommodating to removing some additional branches here and there that were not originally part of the scope of the project. This came about after some large trees were removed and it was apparent that they were hiding branches not originally visible. I believe he put in this extra effort because he takes pride in his work and wants to leave his customers completely satisfied. When his team was finished, they were all diligent in cleaning all traces of their presence. As Mike states ... "We like leaving the place cleaner than when we arrived" ... which was true. My final comment is around price. When I first met Mike, he started his estimate at some ridiculously high level (which frankly was discouraging, and almost lost him the business). However, he made it clear that he wanted my business, and was willing to go through several rounds of negotiations to reach a price that met both of our needs. I was very impressed by Jay and the talented and professional crew that came to my home. They removed two tall trees (50 feet or so) that required climbing to the top of another tree (50 feet or more) to place a rope lever, then climbing and roping each of the trees removed, precision cuts, and precision in lowering the tree sections to avoid damaging our landscaping and recreation area. The crew professionally executed this job, and took great care of the surrounding area to avoid damage. I was both grateful and impressed. This is how businesses earn loyalty and referrals. We had a tall tree that snapped halfway up the tree (at least 25 feet up) and it was leaning against another tree. A dangerous situation. This was too complex of a job for a DIY homeowner and required a professional, experienced crew. Upon inspecting the area, Jay identified another nearby tree that was dead halfway up and was in danger of falling too. It's always better (financially) to take care of more than one tree at a time if there's a need. Jay quoted me a very fair price for the job, it's not "cheap" to remove trees - and it shouldn't be - this is dangerous work for the crew, and not taking action on trees that need it can be dangerous. The crew arrived on time, within two days of the quote acceptance (by the way, Jay came out the 1st day I started gathering quotes - fast response) and as I said above the job was executed professionally and with care and concern and respect for our home. It took longer to schedule because of all the rain we've been having but then they scheduled for a Saturday since they were backlogged and didn't want to make me wait any longer. Unfortunately, before they finished, it started raining yet again!!! But they took breaks during the heavy downpours. They did everything I requested and the work was performed quickly, four people were here. For the heavier branches, they used a rope to lower the branch softly. We have a heavily wooded lot on a hillside with our house surrounded by trees. Over the years, fallen dead trees and limbs have accumulated throughout the property. One of the recent high wind storms broke off the top half of a very tall tree in the back. Besides needing these many downed limbs/trees removed, the trees near our house needed pruning back, since their limbs had grown too close to the house. And there were a number of still standing dead trees that needed to be removed as well. Several tree services I called were not even able to provide a quote for the work for at least a month. Stringfellow's had recently worked on our neighbor's lot, and they did a phenomenal job there. We contacted them and they came out and quoted us a price within a few days.
