I'm helping my sister move in, and we have a couple movers and a couple cable guys installing internet. I decide to go for a coffee run; I take everyone's orders and leave. I arrive at Caribou and said "i want 4 drip coffees" and proceed to tell the cashier my order and they rung me up and the total was $37 something. I thought "huh that's a bit much but whatever" (I got a couple pastries too). I wait at the counter for my four coffees and I get them and I'm about the head out when the barista tells me "wait they have one more coming" and I thought "oh one more cup is fine I guess even though I didn't order it" (I'm a bit of a push over when it comes to mistakes on orders if it isn't major). When talking with the cashier they thought I was ordering five coffees and I held up my four fingers and said "no four" and finished up at the register. Well it wasn't just a cup; it was a another carrier of four black coffees which I had mistakenly paid for, and didn't order. Eight coffees total. I'm not sure how the cashier went from 5 to 4 to 8, either they're extremely ditzy, or up-charging/ over serving me to boost their sales numbers. I still didn't care that much somehow because we had six people helping move in and I thought I could disperse them amongst all, but still have extra coffee. I arrive back to find that the cables guys had left, and one of the movers doesn't drink coffee. So I now have even more coffees left that I'm forced to chug down, or toss out. I never imagined counting to 4 would be so difficult that they would arrive at the number 8. Might go take a number 2 in their bathroom and not flush. read more
