There is absolutely nothing wrong with this place. It was quiet and no one inside but I think a lot of people order to go. Service was excellent. Now the food. Wow. Spicy and tender. Ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken. Idk it was missing something but the heat was there. Rice and plantains were ok. Help cool down the heat from the chicken. Would love to try the oxtail next time The pineapple drink was delicious. Definitely recommend trying this place. read more

I just discovered a little slice of heaven! Absolutely delicious. We ordered Oxtails, Jerk Chicken, Jerk Salmon, cabbage, Peas and rice, plantains and Mac n cheese. 3 Jamaican Beef Patties (Beef Pies). The beef pies, were hot, spicy and absolutely delicious. I mean Devine! I'll be back just to have them again! Tasty filling, flaky crust. The Jerk Chicken, as Jamaican as Jamaican gets. Spicy, hot and super flavorful. Tender, fall of the bone goodness. The oxtails, like the Jerk Chicken was tasty and tender...same with the Jerk Salmon. All prepared to perfection. The Cabbage was a bit on the "sweet" side. We enjoyed the peas and rice and the Mac n Cheese was a major home run . We will be back! read more

The portions the entree I was very unhappy, I had it delivered If I had carry out it would have stayed. The seasoning was meh and no gravy at all. The price is ridiculous and giving the option of large or small and paying for what I thought was a large, however it was NOT I won't even visit the way they willing took my money and sent a small drier than ever seen, buyer beware. Our money these days can't be played with. read more

Big fan of carribean food. The place looks very plane and not impressive at all. But don't let the looks deceive you. This is the best curry goat and oxtail in Dfw area. read more

The Jerk Chicken was awesome. My grandchild tasted the rice and asked what was in it. She is 3 and loved it not to mention she is a picky eater. This was a first for me eating any Caribbean food and I now have a favorite spot for hot, delicious and well seasoned food. The chicken just fell off the bone. Literally, I picked up the bone and the meat fell off. I loved that. It was a very busy place too. Doesn't surprise me at all. The customer service was very welcoming and ready for any questions you may have. BUT if you want fast food I would call in an order because perfection takes time. And I was happy I waited. read more

Caribbean Kitchen - Jerk Chicken with rice and beans and plantains. - Caribbean Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

I was so excited to see a new West Indian restaurant close to me since I always have to travel to Dallas for it. Unfortunately trying this place the price is almost triple for a patty and double for coco bread and triple for plantains! Im a true West Indian, grew up in NY where Jamaican restaurants, Guyanese restaurants, trini restaurants, are everywhere in competition. Then I come to Texas and it's scattered so I understand you raise the price since you don't have too much competition but to triple is insane. As for the Pattie's, they were good but never in life even in Dallas/ Arlington would a chicken patty and coco bread cost $10 ... not even to include a drink read more

Place is small to dine in but enough room that we didn't have a wait time. Very friendly staff ! I had the oxtail with white rice and plantains and cabbage everything was delicious! I had the smaller portion which was big enough for me to have take homes for dinner ! Only thing I didn't like too much was the rice was a bit mushy other than this is a 10/10 for me! Portions are good for prices. read more

Excellent customer service, small seating section, clean, and most importantly the food is spot on! The young man taking my order was so sweet and kind today, first off all. The only thing that threw me for a loop is that they start serving fish after 4pm, it's all good though! The jerk chicken is muy Fuego so be prepared for that and the brown stew chicken was tender and sweet. Every bite I took out of this delicious plate was well worth my time and money. We'll definitely be back to try other items! Happy Eating Fort Worth! read more

My fiancé and I could not stop talking about how tender, juicy, fall off the bone this chicken was while we were eating it! It was SO flavorful with amazing spice, we are so impressed. I highly recommend this spot and getting the jerk chicken. The guy at the front was nice and patient with telling us about the menu and his recommendations, the meat patties were a nice plus to have on the side. I'm definitely going back and trying the other meats ! read more

The food is so delicious and an incredible experience. The staff/owners are great! They explained the menu and recommended how we could get the most bank for our buck and as great suggestions on things to try. We got curry chicken, jerk pork and side of brown stew. The dishes were a little spicy but mostly spicy as in the flavoring. It was great. We also tried the chicken soup (which is a Saturday special) and the beef patty (like an empanada). Oh my goodness, I was going to split the beef patty with my husband....basically he got a bite and I ate the rest! Make sure you try dipping the beef patty in the soup! And they have huge portions! We basically have food for the next two days. Can't wait to come back and try more!! read more

As a Jamaican it was so exciting to see Jamaican restaurant in North Fort Worth. I've been here twice since the grand opening. The decor is festive and the food is tasty. The service is a bit slow as they are new but it's better each time. The prices are high compared to other Jamaican restaurants and bakeries (4.99/patty) but I save on gas and convenience since it's close by. The patties and coco bread are good and the oxtails my husband tried were good also. read more

De-li-cious ! The is one of the best Jamaican spots I've had in a while. Their cabbage had a bit of spice to it. Their rice and peas had flavor, spice and were fluffy. The jerk chicken was seasoned well and the meat was falling off the bone. The beef patty had a flaky exterior crust, soft interior crust flavored meat. I plan on returning a second time this week. read more

Best oxtails in the dfw and the beef pies hit every time!! Staff always friendly and accommodating

The food is good, my daughter had the jerk chicken, it flavorful but a little too spicy for her. I had the jerk oxtails they were very good with a succulent sauce that makes you to want to lick your fingers. The cabbage was good but a little too sweet for my taste, the bananas were so good we ordered more. This was our first time dining here and the owner gave us a rundown of the menu. It only has 6 tables and it's decorated with Jamaican colors and a few pictures. They only have bottled drinks but they also have drink dispensers that were empty. We will be back. read more

I really wanted to go to Stephanie's but they close so early I ended up here instead. I wonder if I would have gotten a better overall welcome at that place then over here. I must say they aren't the friendliest crew. I mean I got a very dry welcome from one of the three employees that were basically standing around not doing anything ( it must be a Texas thing). But because I wanted to give this place my business I decided to not just walk out. Since I wasn't really hungry I ended up getting the small jerk chicken plate. Came with three thin slices of plantains, cabbage and a couple of pieces of jerk chicken and a lot of rice and peas. Overall everything was pretty good. The jerk Chicken was flavorful and moist. I think I paid $16 including tip. So the price wasn't bad at all. read more

Good bu not great. Everything about this place is almost great, parking, location, portion size, taste. It's all there just not fully. Jerk chicken tasted like chicken with Jerk sauce p. I want to try and be fair because I haven't eaten the food at the time I'm writing this, but this is my second time here and both experiences have been the same. The service is extremely slow and after being her for over an hour, we still have yet to receive our food; this has been a colossal waste of time. If my wife didn't want to eat here I would have gotten my money back and gone anywhere else. One of the guys was nice enough to give me a drink to make up for it (close to salvaging the experience) but they have to work on their systems. We have made a decision that we will not return to this establishment again. Alright, we received our food after 1 hour and 10 minutes. I wish I could say the food was worth the wait. It wasn't. We ordered rasta pasta, which was pretty good, and brown stew fish, which was mind-numbingly average; this was very disappointing. read more

Jamaican me crazy... because the food is delicious!! When you are walk in, there's Jamaican music playing. Just close your eyes and pretend you're in Jamaica! LOL. the walls are yellow and green and the workers are welcoming. They are new. So with that said.... Expect a wait. There was a very long line so it took about 20ish minutes before I could order. And then another 20ish minutes to get my food. Was it worth it? Yes. The food was FULL OF FLAVOR!! I got some Jamaican sodas to accompany our meal. 4 to be exact LOL. The champagne cola was not for me but I have 3 more to try-pineapple, grapefruit, and cream soda. We shall see if my taste buds will like those better. Now the food. I was SO LUCKY... and grabbed the last beef patty. Fried goodness. The pastry was light and crisp and the beef inside was good! Will have to try the chicken one next time. The jerk chicken dinner plate was tasty and had a smoky flavor with a hint of spice. Not too spicy for me but I like it hot. The rice and beans was flavorful. The veggies was a nice accompaniment and the plantain was a nice little treat - a little soggy but good. The plantain would have been perfect if it had a crisp edge to it. The small plate came with 3 pieces of chicken. Good amount for us. The OXTAIL was my favorite. The flavors were so on point. It had all the umami you would want. The only thing I wish it was, was being tender. It was a little tough. I wish it was fall apart tender. But still the best dish in my opinion. Will I be back? Of course! Will I call ahead to place my order, you bet!! Was it worth the wait though, yup! read more

I love Jamaican food. I love how seasoned the cuisine is. So, when I saw that a Jamaican restaurant opened near my childhood home, I knew I had to check it out. My brother and I ordered small sizes of the jerk chicken and oxtails to share, as well as some coco bread. Even though we chose the small sizes, it was SO MUCH FOOD that we had leftovers for lunch the next day. As for the flavor... EVERYTHING was so delicious, even the cabbage! The meat fell off the bone, and the spices were on point. (And as a spice lover, I will say that the jerk chicken is actually pretty spicy, so beware if you know you can't handle spice!) My brother and I loved both entrees, but we agreed that if we had to pick a favorite, the oxtails were superior. Also, the coco bread tasted like a Hawaiian roll, if you're into that. I can't wait to come back and try their dumplings! Pro tip: order online so you don't have to wait 30 minutes at the restaurant. read more

Visiting from out of town for a weekend with my girlfriends. One of them saw Caribbean Kitchen on TikTok and decided to put it on our itinerary. My goodness, I'm glad she did!! The food was amazingly delicious. I ordered the small jerk chicken which came with rice & peas, fried plantains, and cabbage. When I tell you the food was well seasoned, meat fall off the bone tender, and the portion was enough for me to revisit it several times...whew! The staff was friendly, service was quick and I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again. I also sampled some of my friend's jerk pork and it was equally tender and delicious. Please do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't be disappointed. read more

Cannot stop raving about Caribbean Kitchen and it's been a month since I ate there! When I got there, I did have to wait about 30 minutes in line. But no big deal, good food is worth waiting for. The lady behind the counter was so sweet and patient with everyone. I got the small oxtail plate with a spicy beef patty on the side. It was UH-MAZING. Flavor was on point, and the amount of food was just insane. I felt like I got $30 worth of food for only $18. I got my order for take out and it was still fresh, delicious, and hot when I got home! The service was okay & the ambiance is nice. The seating area is small but cozy. Please why is festival something only served on weekends? Why is a patty $4.99. The cabbage was delicious, it was still crunchy and contained the nutrients( most people cook the hell out of cabbage and that is a turn off) I don't like hearing the music around back and tv playing at the same volume. I like the food but the small bones were annoying. I almost chipped a tooth. I would come back but now I know to eat slowly. I'll come back a month from now and hopefully the bone situation gets sorted out. I loved my jerk pork but the bones, the damn bones! read more
