Very good jerk sauce. Portion was enough for two people on the Jerk Pasta! Friendly staff. I only wish we had one in Raleigh

In town on business and found this gem! I'm an islander myself. It did the trick, rum punch was on point. Will be back

Goat and oxtails were amazing! Very silky and luxurious. If you're new to eating goat, watch out for the bones

I will start by saying that this place is now serving dog food. The food was absolutely disgusting…read more- everything was hard, dry, and burnt, including the cake! Absolutely zero "F's" were given in the food preparation. The textures were appalling, as if the food had been scorched and then left out for hours before serving. The only remotely edible thing was the cold, burnt plantains, but even those were barely tolerable. I kept biting into gritty bits that I couldn't even identify as food, which made me seriously question the safety of what I was eating. If I had access to a lab, I would submit it to see what I'd [really] been served. I ended up throwing my entire meal in the garbage. To top it off, they've changed the name of the place, which just raises even more red flags. I can't help but wonder why they felt the need to do that. It's a waste of money, time, hope and food to ever go here. They disrespected the life of the poor chicken who died for this wretched soot seasoned, curry chicken slop. If my husband or anyone suggested this place I would seriously consider throwing hands. It doesn't matter what they are calling it now. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this place.

Very nice environment. You can tell the owner really loves this place…read more The waitstaff were attentive and very professional. They had that ability to show up exactly when needed, and not a moment before. The food presentation was wonderful. The food was very tasty. I had the Jerk Chicken. It was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The only issue I had, and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars, was with the chicken itself. Whoever had broken down the chicken had chopped through the bones, leaving shards of bone in every bite. It was a bit difficult having to pull bits of bone out of every bite. I've had plenty of Jerk Chicken in my life, and this was my only experience like this. I'll probably go back, but I doubt I'll order anything that might have bones. The tofu looked good.

I have been living in NC for about 8 months now and have wanted good jamaican food. Carribean Hut…read morewas recommended. The food was just okay. I ordered the curry goat and cowfoot soup. The curry goat had lots of big bones and the meat could have been cooked a little longer. The cowfoot soup was pretty good and tasty but it did not have any meat. It had dumplings and vegetables. The waitress/bartender could have been a little more welcoming and interacting; especially since there was only two women at the bar eating. The waitress was dry the entire experience. The ambience was nothing special. You can eat at the bar or in the dining are. They had a few jamaican pictures hanging up. I think I am a one and done with this experience

I had the Ropa Vijas which was delicious shredded beef and a rich, tomato sauce, peppers, onions, spices. Perfectly cooked rice and amazing black beans, perfectly cooked plantains. I also had a very good Mojito. I date had pasta la Havana both of them. She said we're very good. This is definitely a place I would go back to the Cuban. Food was absolutely delicious Service was very good and the price was reasonable.

Portions were significantly smaller and the ham croquetas were very disappointing. They definitely changed the way they made them. The ham in the croqueta was hard and tasted old and everything else did not taste like it was freshly fried and crispy. On the other hand, I ordered a cheeseburger, and that was amazing... I'm hoping to give it another shot one day, but it's not my first choice. The restaurant itself is very clean, service is very friendly and if you get the opportunity to sit outside on the patio, you will not be disappointed. Parking is a little tricky because it's not a big lot and you are sharing it with the restaurant nextdoor and the condo's.

They do have daily drink specials and $10 lunch specials. It must be a popular place because there was a steady stream of customers. I ordered the Camarones Enchilados lunch special. The decor here is fun, vibrant and chic. And the seats/booth were very comfortable! We all ordered some beers and margaritas to start and shared the trio (guac, salsa, queso) and calamari appetizers. For my entree, I got the chicken quesadilla. Others orderd the fajitas, mar y terra (?), and tacos. Portions for the main were generous, and the food itself tasted great! I really enjoyed the quesadilla and the calamari appetizer was delicious too. I also tried the elote con chile margarita and it packed a unique punch for sure. We had 2 or 3 different servers so sometimes the ordering seemed a little confusing and mixed up, but overall, they were all attentive and ensured smooth dining experience for us. @azfitfoodfun
