    Havana special
    Linda F.

The patio is huge and bright overlooking the lake Total vacation vibe. We hade the bacon wrapped dates which were delicious, served with arugula and a creamy goat cheese sauce. I had the Havana special with all kinds of pork and melted cheese. It came with plentiful crispy fries and a garlic citrus dipping sauce. We were greeted and seated immediately. Service was friendly and well paced. Next time I go I will try some more of the delectable appetizers. It's a fun spot

As a Caribbean, I love this restaurant because it feels so close to home. The flavors are authentic, rich, and really satisfying, and every dish tastes like it's made with care. The food is always well seasoned and perfectly prepared, giving that comforting, home cooked feeling you don't find just anywhere.

If your looking for an authentic cuban sandwich? This place is it. Very perso able service! Charming atmosphere with a havana vibe. Great margaritas with tasty Sunday brunch. Sitting on the patio overlooking LKN while the saxophone player played. It was a great start for our Sunday. Highly recommended.

This place absolutely blew us away--from the drinks and food to the stunning location right on Lake Norman. We kicked things off with a Mai Tai, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. My husband ordered a cocktail with "wicked" in the name (wish I could remember the full title), and he loved it. Next up was the appetizer sampler, and every single item on that plate was devoured. Everything was packed with flavor, and their spicy ketchup? Actually spicy. So good. We went for a second round of drinks: I had the white sangria, which was light, fruity, and dangerously smooth--you couldn't even taste the alcohol. My husband had the Paloma, and it was strong but balanced, with the liquor shining through without being overpowering. Then came the main event: the food. My husband ordered the seafood paella, and it was outstanding--fresh, clean, and full of flavor. I had the Havana 33, their elevated take on a Cubano sandwich, and it was a solid 10/10. We'll definitely be back. This spot is a gem!

I LOVED this place! Stopped by on a Sunday evening. It was rainy but still such a nice vibe inside. Waitress was nice, too was delicious and authentic. Absolutely coming again!

Yummy restaurant on the water! I got the mojo chicken dinner and it was delicious. The chicken was moist and flavorful and I loved the coconut rice! Friendly staff and nice ambiance.

Wow, amazing food and views! We were greeted and seated immediately upon walking in. Sat outside to soak in the views of the water which didn't disappoint. All the food we ordered here was delicious, each plate had so much depth of flavor you can definitely taste the love and time they take to cook everything Check them out if you're in the area, you will not be disappointed!

This is the place I bring family and friends visiting for the first time. Lake views, incredible food, and amazing service. I've been to Havana probably close to 50 times at the time of this review. I have NEVER had a single bad experience, never anything bad enough to send back. The food is incredible, flavor packed, and fresh every time. As most in the area know, lake front dining is rare enough as it is, but this patio is probably my favorite spot on the lake. I'll continue to come back, a customer for life.

This place was recommended but the front desk of a local hotel. So glad I took a chance versus another Lake Norman place I had considered. This is the place if you are looking for a laid back restaurant with great view of the lake and good Cuban food. I gave 4 stars because the service was so slow. My waitress was nice but twice I had to ask another staff member when I had to yet to receive my drink and then again for my check.

Stopped by Havana in Mooresville on a Saturday at 11:30 AM, right as they opened, and we were seated immediately--always a great start. The space is clean, elegant, and has an island-inspired feel. The menu is small but well-thought-out, focusing on Cuban-inspired dishes. We tried the French toast with scrambled eggs, the pastry platter, and the frittata. The pastry platter was decent, offering four different options, but nothing that really stood out. (A Cuban-inspired cast iron cornbread with guava jelly? Now that would've been a game-changer!) That said, the main dishes were solid, with great portions--plenty to take home. Service was great--attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere, with a mix of families, couples, and solo diners. There was a nice blend of ages and backgrounds, which made the space feel lively and inviting. I definitely wasn't to visit again for dinner.

My favorite thing about this restaurant is the vibe. It's authentic--there is Cuban music playing and the decor fits. The whole vibe is just Cuba. It wasn't nice out so we had to sit inside, but there is patio seating on the lake for when it's nice out. The Chicken and Rice was tasty. I did, however, learn that I don't like sweet plantains. This isn't the fault of Havana 33 or any Cubans anywhere. Also, I don't like beans so the sides just didn't do it for me and the primary reason for the 4. The service was good and the pricing seems relatively fair for an inflationary era. I'd say check it out. Also a bar here that looks like it might be a cool vibe on the weekend.

My co-worker recommend this restaurant in Mooresville so I gave it a try. Very Cuban-lie once you walk in because of the vibe, they were playing cuban music and decor is pretty tropical. Near the waterfront, even though you are looking at a reservoir, it is a nice setting. People are right, portion is kinda small or expensive, but I guess it is consider upscale since it is at Mooresville. Everything was good, service was good. No complain whatsoever.

The food was delicious. The service was great. We reserved our table for 11 people, every order came out quickly and everyone went home with a full belly. Cheers.

The meat was incredibly flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and fall-apart tender -- you can tell it's been cooked low and slow the right way. The sauce had depth, with hints of garlic, peppers, and warm spices that tied everything together beautifully. It was served alongside perfectly cooked rice (dark and flavorful, likely infused with beans and seasoning), sweet fried plantains that were caramelized just right -- crispy edges, soft centers -- and a fresh, crisp salad to balance the richness.
