I have a 21 months old daughter and had a really bad experience with Dr. Dhonti at Maruthi…read morePediatrics and his staff. My daughter had a severe UTI, and every time Dr. staff told me that urine result takes 7-10 days to come, but it was never the case, I checked the date of the sample, and the date of report it was within 1-2 days of the sample, and I understand the difference between immediate results VS culture starts developing after 24 hours. Because of their serious carelessness, my daughter's treatment was delayed, and her infection got worse, and she had to spend many days at the hospital. Also, the staff is rude, I had to call multiple times just to talk to the nurse and doctor, and the response time was even worse. It took them 1-2 days to call back, then 1 more day to give an appointment. Their front office lady is very rude and not even a nurse but was still giving me suggestions that it's okay to get a fever, It will go in 5-7 days no need to talk to the nurse, and when I pushed, then only she called the nurse. I had to call multiple times to even get the lab results of my daughter. Also, about the billing, it's never straightforward. I never received any receipt; their portal is worse, so please be vigilant about the billing too. I will never recommend Maruthi pediatrics.

Don't go there. We were just treated very unethically. We were running late because of a work stop…read more We were still under the 15 minute late rule and they refused to see our child who we took out of school. I had been taking my children to this place for 10 years. Since they were babies. On top of that loyalty, the founder of this clinic was my childhood doctor!!! Her picture is on the wall!!! And we were going out of our way to this clinic out of loyalty. We live in Clayton. But we go out of loyalty. I grew up in Cary. They have seen us since we were babies. I am 50 years old. They threw 50 years away although we were still within the 15 minute late window!!!! How often do we all wait for doctors and nurses to see us!?!?? And they threw away 50 years of loyalty over 14 minutes!?!?! Backstory to the work stop: the work stop was so bad the person behind me got out of his vehicle in his scrubs and cussed at the workers. He said he had a woman on the operating table! He was a doctor. The workers and the doctor repeatedly screamed at each other. Eventually, after a long time, they allowed the cars to move. With that said, I was still at the clinic within the 15 minute late range!!! This clinic violated its own late policy!!! We are never late!!! And we never complain!!!!! This is our reward for 50 years??? Our reward for never being late??? Our reward for never complaining about the long waits?!?! Is this how you treat nice, loyal customers!?! I'm not a patient. It's clear I'm just a modern America customer. Sadly and regretfully, we pulled our kids out of the clinic. This is the New Cary. The New America. Hope y'all are happy. Don't go to this clinic. They don't value 50 years of nice and loyal patients. You're nothing to them.

I believe their Durham location is fairly new, and is part of this large building off NC 54 by the 40 Freeway (it's really easy to find). The staff is not only very friendly, but they were also helpful in getting my new little baby girl set up as a new patient. I am a new first-time mom (just over 2 weeks) and finding a pediatrician before was not necessarily easy. There are so many great choices! I noticed that Chapel Hill PA had a great website, great feedback from friends, and lots of good Yelp reviews for their Chapel Hill location. After giving birth at UNC, my little one and I got quickly set up at their Durham location and have had really pleasant visits since. We have seen Dr. Joe and Dr. Woodrum at the Durham location, and we loved them both - especially Dr. Woodrum! The doctors were both friendly, caring, helpful and attentive to my husband and I's questions and needs. Most of all, they take their time with each family they see. The pediatrics team does a great job of making new parents feel at ease and prepared for the new chapter of life that awaits them. I am so happy to have chosen Chapel Hill Pediatrics and Adolescents (Durham Location) for my newborn.

We've seen a few other pediatricians since moving, and nobody has ever compared to Dr. Cooley. She's warm, kind, understanding. She has the perfect temperament to be in the field that she's in. When we had our daughter, she made us feel better about not knowing what we were doing. She never made us feel stupid for the millions of obvious questions that we asked. She always answered with grace and kindness. I wish we could replicate her because she truly is one of a kind. I would recommend Dr. Cooley to anyone - especially to new parents. She is absolutely wonderful.

Her demeanor was apathetic with her repeated excuse being "they are shortstaffed." Asked her to cancel the appointment as we weren't going to wait any longer and she didn't while claiming she did (I had to call in later to make sure it was cancelled). She also gave us the wrong number to call management regarding this issue (she gave us the number for the practice in Henderson). I've never encountered this level of incompetency at a pediatric clinic, and honestly this woman at the front desk should be put on a performance improvement plan. If you plan to visit this clinic plan accordingly for the long wait time.
