Don't go there. We were just treated very unethically. We were running late because of a work stop. We were still under the 15 minute late rule and they refused to see our child who we took out of school. I had been taking my children to this place for 10 years. Since they were babies. On top of that loyalty, the founder of this clinic was my childhood doctor!!! Her picture is on the wall!!! And we were going out of our way to this clinic out of loyalty. We live in Clayton. But we go out of loyalty. I grew up in Cary. They have seen us since we were babies. I am 50 years old. They threw 50 years away although we were still within the 15 minute late window!!!! How often do we all wait for doctors and nurses to see us!?!?? And they threw away 50 years of loyalty over 14 minutes!?!?! Backstory to the work stop: the work stop was so bad the person behind me got out of his vehicle in his scrubs and cussed at the workers. He said he had a woman on the operating table! He was a doctor. The workers and the doctor repeatedly screamed at each other. Eventually, after a long time, they allowed the cars to move. With that said, I was still at the clinic within the 15 minute late range!!! This clinic violated its own late policy!!! We are never late!!! And we never complain!!!!! This is our reward for 50 years??? Our reward for never being late??? Our reward for never complaining about the long waits?!?! Is this how you treat nice, loyal customers!?! I'm not a patient. It's clear I'm just a modern America customer. Sadly and regretfully, we pulled our kids out of the clinic. This is the New Cary. The New America. Hope y'all are happy. Don't go to this clinic. They don't value 50 years of nice and loyal patients. You're nothing to them. read more

My children have been coming to Triangle Pediatrics for years. The doctors, PAs, and phone nurses are all great. The biggest issue, however, is the practice's new billing policies. They require a credit card on file and then they just charge whatever they want. There is no bill, invoice, or record of any kind sent to the family. If they decide the initial charge wasn't enough, they just charge more with no notification. What other business is allowed to operate this way? I have requested copies of charges (my HSA requires this) but no one in the billing department will call me back or respond to my emails. As a result, we are going to switch practices. My 17 yr/o son went to Tripeds for flu and Covid booster after school and I had signed a consent form the day before, he said people were very nice to him, and he got his vaccines and left in 15 minutes. It was a very smooth and pleasant experience. read more

I'm writing this review following the conclusion of my billing issues with Triangle Pediatric. After requesting to talk with a manager, my case took a different path, for the positive. The account manager took the time to look at my case and apologized for the issue and applied my insurance discount and credited the balance. When we moved to the area 5 years ago, we found Triangle Peds. I didn't realize how inattentive my previous pediatricians were until I started coming to Triangle Peds. We see Dr. Chao and Mrs. Leigh primarily, but I have had great interactions with every provider. Not only are the providers great, but all of the nurses and front desk personnel are awesome. I have found that the providers here take their time, and I have never felt rushed or silly for bringing my children in. My kids love their doctors, and at the end of the day that's what is important. read more

I came to Triangle Pediatrics on a recommendation of a friend. I saw Dr. Baer who was wonderful. I was later scheduled with Dr. Horowitz, whose bedside manner was very rude and I found him to be patient shaming. I had some questions about the vaccination schedule that was recommended by the CDC. Having had adverse reactions to some of my own childhood vaccines (seizures, hives, etc), I had inquired about options of delaying and spacing out some vaccines in case my daughter had a reaction - that we would know which one she had a reaction to. His tone was incredibly condescending and shaming. Our interaction was so uncomfortable, he left me in tears a few weeks after giving birth. He could definitely use some coaching in his bedside manner, but it was such a turnoff that we switched practices and found someone who was much more open to our questions and spacing out my daughters vaccines. If you do stay, I highly recommend Dr. Baer. read more

We have been coming to this practice for about 4 years. Two families with a total of six children have all loved this practice. We couldn't be happier with all of the staff. The front desk and checkout have always been extremely helpful and very efficient. The scheduling is so organized that we have never waited more than 5 minutes past our appointment time. The nurses have always been quick to respond to phone inquiries. They are thorough and knowledgeable. The children have been seen quickly when they have been sick. All of the children see Leigh Freeman, P.A. and she is AWESOME!!! She is gentle and connects well with the kids. She listens and takes the necessary time to communicate with the parents. I would highly recommend her to family and friends. None of the children have had a need to see any of the doctors in the practice yet. read more

This is one of the most organized doctor offices I have ever seen. We have been here 3 times and the wait has never been longer than 10 or 15 minutes. The waiting room is spilt between well and sick children even with 2 large fish tanks to separate the 2 areas. They really try to get a full history if the kids and keep track of specialist results. I just wish they were family practice so that I can see a doctor too. read more

Worst doctors office ever! Do not bring your child here. Rude staff to start but the biggest issue is the doctors. Brought my daughter in because I thought she may have the flu, and the doctor told me she definitely doesn't have the flu. When I asked him if we should test to be sure he just dismissed my suggestion and said he wanted her to get the flu shot. I again questioned this since she had a 102.6 fever but he insisted it was fine, along with the nurse. Well here we are 2 days later leaving urgent care w a super sick child and a confirmed case of the FLU!!! I'm livid to say the least!!! She should never have gotten the flu shot with that high of a temperature and the doctor should have listened and had her tested for the flu. Totally unacceptable. read more

We brought our son in for his sports physical and the wait time was pretty bad, as usual. The first nurse we saw was short and didn't seem to care about the fact that my young son was in the room as she was prepping the room in a hurried manner. He was already nervous about the appointment (it was his first sports physical l so he didn't know what to expect). The nurse was just rough with the exam paper, nothing too egregrious, but it was a noticeable 'huff' she was in and my son was startled by it. It set a tone that took several minutes for him to calm down from. 'Luckily' we had a 20 minute wait after that until the doctor came in to get him to forget about it. I get tired at my job too but when it comes to children, I expect better from those whose job it is to work with them. read more

Hi, my name is Benjamin Cargile and I have two children that have used Triangle Pediatrics for almost a decade. My problems with them did not start until this year (2019). Before this year their service was fine but not good, great, or exceptional. This year however things have really gone down hill. With Child #1 (sorry but I do not want to give out their name), the problems started when I was on vacation with my family in the North Carolina mountains, about 4 hours outside of Raleigh. While on vacation, Child #1 became ill with a stomach ache and vomiting late Monday night/ early Tuesday morning. My wife and I thought that it might be a 24-hour virus or just a reaction to food from a new restaurant. The kind of stomach ache that all children get at some point but the nausea and vomiting continued for several days. By Thursday morning, we were concerned and ready to drive home and take Child #1 to Triangle Pediatrics. We called Triangle Pediatrics' nurse line at about 8 am for help and to see if they would send a prescription for Zofran, a common anti-nausea and vomiting medication for children, to a local pharmacy. We did not believe Child #1 need to be seen in an emergency room. However without proper medical care, my wife and I were both afraid Child #1 could end up in the emergency room. The nurse said she would try to get a doctor to call us back. After SEVERAL HOURS and repeated calls by my wife and myself, the nurse said the doctor would NOT help us or prescribe us Zofran and that we needed to go to an urgent care for help. We called the closest urgent care facility in that rural area that we were in but the wait time was several hours. At that point, my family decided to finish packing and come back to Raleigh. When we returned to Raleigh, we had Child #1 seen by a local pediatric urgent care who prescribed us Zofran and recommended that we come back if the vomiting did not stop. That was on Thursday night. Friday went ok but Child #1 vomited late that night and was very lethargic Saturday with nauseous with stomach pains. We went back to the urgent care that day and the doctor suggested that we give Child #1 an acid blocker to help. Sunday Child #1 seemed better. Monday morning Child #1 was sick again with the same symptoms so we went back to the urgent care. The Pediatric Urgent Care Doctor was unsure why Child #1 had been sick so long and was not improving. A chest X-ray provided no new helpful information so he ordered a head CT scan to check for neurological problems. As a parent, having your child have a check for brain tumors or something similar is very scary to say the least. Thankfully, it came back negative but the urgent care doctor recommended that we go to our pediatrician at Triangle Pediatrics and faxed the information over to Triangle Pediatrics that night. I waited to hear from Triangle Pediatrics Tuesday morning to make an appointment or something. When they did not call, I called and talked with them. Because I was unhappy with their service, I ask that they fax ALL of my child's medical records to a new pediatrician. I explained the urgency of the situation by phone and email to several people at Triangle Pediatrics including the office manager. I now had what had grown to an urgent and serious problem: I had a child that had been vomiting for a week, seen a pediatric urgent care doctor multiple times, and that the current diagnosis was unknown. I considered my child's situation to be very serious. Instead of faxing the new Pediatrician immediately, Triangle Pediatrics waited to fax the medicals records so I had to see a new pediatrician without those records. When they did fax the records over, they only sent my child's last physical exam information and immunization records. I had filled out paperwork from Triangle Pediatrics for ALL of my child's medical records and what they records that they did send were of little help. I was in touch with Triangle Pediatrics and again ask for ALL of my child's medical records to be faxed to the new Pediatrician. Again, they did not fax over her complete medical records but only part of the records (more than originally but not all of them). I have repeatedly contacted Triangle Pediatrics and requested all of the records but they refuse to provide any more of child's records. I am now having to file complaints with the US Office of Civil Rights for violations of the HIPAA rules. These are rules provided to protect patients rights. So some of my problems with Triangle Pediatrics in regards to Child #1 include: Not providing my family with help when we were out of town with a sick child. Making my wife and I wait hours to tell us that they would not help us with our sick child. Triangle Pediatrics never called to find out how Child #1 was doing after I originally called them for help. Not provide full medical records as required by HIPAA. read more

This is a terrible place. We brought our kids here for far too long. The nurses here are judgmental, rude, unprofessional and have terrible terrible bedside manner. They are detached and insensitive to children. They talk about parents in the hallways. One nurse actually yelled at me at our last appointment and it was the final straw. So tired of me and my children being mistreated here. The doctors are also very condescending and don't know how to talk to you like an informed, educated parent. They behave as though they are threatened by educated parents who understand research and statistics so they are incapable of having a real discussion about treatment options that doesn't involve "just take my word for it." We came here solely because of Leigh Freeman who is a remarkable PA who is TOO good for this place. She is the only reason I put up with the garbage in this practice for as long as I did. If she ever decides to find a better group of colleagues to work with, I'd gladly follow her where she goes. Until then, I've had enough abuse from the staff here to switch my kids. read more

We have been seeing this group of pediatricians since our kids were born in 1993 and 1996. Now that they are aged out, I've had to transfer their care to a family practice in Cary and wish so much we could stay with Triangle Peds. They have always been caring and accomodating for last minute appointments when an unexpected sickness or injury happened that needed evaluation and treatment. I am a nurse and I've found the practice to have excellent rapport with the kids as well as the parents. I highly recommend this group to anyone that needs a caring, compassionate pediatric group to provide medical care for their child. read more

I have had my children here for only a month, and I am already going elsewhere for care. My son was diagnosed with an AVSD a heart defect that sadly affects families. As I was pregnant I unfortunately was told he'd have to undergo open-heart surgery within his first 6 months of life. His cardiologist made specific notes on when he'd need to be seen again by this office and what would need to be done. I received a phone call from one of the staff with a very bad attitude telling me there was no way he could be seen when the cardiologist recommended and they were not willing to budge on this. It was very disturbing to me as the mom of my 3 week old son that a pediatric office would treat his situation in this manner. I called back to voice my concern and the nurse I spoke to had nothing to say not even an apology, she just canceled his appointments as asked, because after letting his cardiologist know what happened she is referring me elsewhere. My son was born a very low birth weight which adds insult to injury, and if I could go back I would have never even considered this place. read more
