I was definitely a little nervous going in, but the nurse who first brought me back and got me ready was SO sweet. She answered all of my questions and was absolutely amazing with my IV. I hate being poked and I literally barely felt it, which is saying a lot for me lol. She really helped put me at ease right from the beginning. Everyone I met before the procedure took the time to introduce themselves and explain what they were doing. The gentleman who came in to go over my anesthesia history was very thorough, explained everything, and made sure I didn't have any questions. Kelley Epstein, CRNA, was also amazing. She came in beforehand to talk with me and make sure I didn't have any questions, and then escorted me into the procedure room with another really sweet nurse (sorry don't recall her name). She made sure I was comfortable, adjusted my pillow, and walked me through what to expect when they started giving me the medication. She was so kind and reassuring, especially knowing I was a little nervous. Sam also came in and introduced himself once I was in the procedure room. I really appreciated that everyone introduced themselves and that I knew who was taking care of me. The entire team was so friendly and made me feel comfortable instead of making the experience feel rushed or intimidating. Dr. Al Khoury was wonderful, as always. I genuinely feel like I'm in very good hands with him. Everything went smoothly, and I really appreciate the care I've received from him throughout this whole process. Even after the procedure, the nurse taking care of me in recovery was incredibly sweet and accommodating. She answered my questions, made sure I was feeling okay, walked me out, and made sure I was safely with my boyfriend. Honestly, I have zero complaints. An endoscopy and colonoscopy obviously aren't anyone's idea of a fun morning lol, but this team made the entire experience so much better than I expected.
