I just transferred my compound prescription from Clark's Pharmacy to Carefree Compounding & Wellness. It was too far of a drive coming from Anthem. So glad that I did this, because the pharmacist and staff are so nice. I give them 5 stars. Something else I really appreciate is that they can deliver it to my home at no charge. Do not use this I have asked for prescriptions and they keep telling me it didn't go through in a fax at my doctors office almost 7 days later asking for a refill since I'm having severe hot flashes they really didn't care. Such a disappointing experience. They have had my prescription for months. It was a 90 day supply. I was out of medication and It took weeks of constant follow up to get a partial fill. They told me to come pick it up at 5 pm. When I showed up, the pharmacist was rude telling me it wasn't verified yet and she would "get to it when she gets to it" rather than verify it because they told me to drive all the way over there. I left again with no medication. She finally "approved it" and a couple days later I got 30 of the 90 pills. It's now been another month and I'm out of medication again and I've contacted them three times with promises it would be completed but still no medication. I don't know what is going on there, but they are harming peoples health with missed doses of medication. And the pharmacist is hostile and unprofessional. read more

Every time I have processed my meds from you it's always some story about delays on your end. I have a confirmation email from you on Monday if this week telling me 1-2 biz days to ship. It's day 5 and I call to see where it's at am told 5-7 biz days and it's still back with the lab. I am leaving on vacation Monday and now will not have my meds due to you incompetency. I have used this pharmacy for about 5 years and they have been awesome and typically prompt but this week I initiated a refill and it wasn't handled well at all. I was made to feel like just a number, there were too many people ahead of me and they weren't able to accommodate a refill in time before leaving to go out of town for 2 week vacation. They didn't seem to understand or acknowledge the sense of urgency in the matter so I had to make other arrangements for the refill. I waited for a call back and finally received a text about it saying they couldn't accommodate the refill then went on to discipline me about the fact that I should have called it in earlier because others that only live in the area part time did so. I know there can be a longer turn around time and I started the process a week ago knowing this..At any rate the relationship with this pharmacy is now over which is a shame as I appreciated the previous efforts and previous customer service but it didn't go well this time. read more

I had been a customer of this pharmacy for a few years, and they did fairly well and I had no real issues, until this past visit. My hormone cream RX was sent by my new doctor to the wrong pharmacy, which is 62 miles away from my home. The new place had my RX ready, but I didnt really want to drive that far. I had one more day of my cream as of 9/19 (a Friday) and to any of us that use hormone cream for menopause you KNOW you cannot stop and start this; it must be applied at the same time daily. Carefree told me they could get it filled by close of 9/19 and I was happy with that. I could drive over and grab my cream and all would be well, so I cancelled with the other pharmacy that was far away and let Carefree fill my RX. Close of business Friday, no call.....I drove over anyways and they were closed! They are also closed Sat and Sun so now Ive got a real problem! I some how made it thru the weekend with a terrible headache and all the other fun symptoms that occur with the sudden cessation of the cream I used. I was there first thing Monday morning to pick it up, only to be told that IT WASNT READY and they were working on meds from 9/9!!!!!!! If they had simply TOLD me that I would have driven to the place that had it ready and waiting last Friday!!!! The man I spoke with claimed to be the owner, and then told me they were short staffed and had a water leak, etc, all manners of excuses. I was stunned that he could think this is a way to retain customers. I then asked WHEN my RX would be ready (bear in mind I had already paid for it) and he couldnt even give me a date. Absolutely horrible customer service, he was rude, and never even apologized for what I had been put thru due to THEIR disorganization. I will never go there again, and will happily tell anyone I know who is considering using their services to avoid them. Oh, and one of the side effects of cessation of hormones abruptly can be a stroke. So thanks Carefree Compounding, for putting me in danger. read more

These compounding pharmacies sure have it good. 9-6 no evenings or weekends, and they do not deal with insurance at all. I got there on a Friday at 5:30 p.m. I begged to get my prescription filled so I was not in pain over the weekend. Nope they could not do that, first thing Monday. Monday around 2-3 pm it was finally ready and was told they did not have enough ingredients to complete my prescription. They only had 1/3 of it ready. So I thought I will pay 1/3 and pay the rest when I get the rest. Of course they would not do that. They would not even write me an IOU that 2/3 is still owed. I would definitely seek a different compounding pharmacy next time. read more

Second Review Super impressed at how this pharmacy went out of their way to get me a prescription! I somehow missed the courier two times and on the third business day, they got it to me in a cold pack. Here's the thing though...I had left one message for them, but THEY took action to get it to me without a lot of back and forth calls or interactions. It really bugs me when pharmacies create excessive conversations about getting prescriptions; calling and asking "if you need it." I know that everyone doesn't need everything right away. And sometimes, if you're transferring a prescription, you don't need it right away, but most of the time, you call because you need it in the near future. I am always running all over for prescriptions so I really appreciate the good service. I'm going to transfer some other presecriptions there soon. read more

I have used Carefree Compounding for over a year now for my specialty prescription. They were recommended by my doctor, and I am happy to this day that he pointed me in their direction. Beyond being a cost effective solution for filling my script, the personal at the pharmacy constantly go out of their way to interact with me, and my doctor, in order to facilitate rapid and accurate refills, as well as prescription adjustments and modifications which have greatly assisted in my treatment. The office has a small and friendly feel. The personal are all super sociable and always up for some jokes or conversation. This includes the pharmacists as well! When was the last time you went to a pharmacy and actually met an approachable pharmacist? I genuinely enjoy my visits to Carefree Compounding. While no one wants to have to take medications, my visits to CC make it a lot more bearable. I would recommend their service to anyone. read more

I have had such an ongoing horrible experience with Carefree Compounding. Their customer service is poor. Their follow up is poor. I have been without the medication for weeks trying to resolve this. They charged me for a prescription that had no medication in it. I called and they said it was there but when I went to use it there was none and no trace of it. They said it "dried up" and they take no responsibility. - that is a quote. So $50 thrown away and a lot of time and aggravation. Was telling a friend and she also had negative experience so moved her prescription to Scottsdale Mixtures Pharmacy which is what I am going to do too. She said they were great and though the bar has been set very low by Carefree compounding I am sure it will be much improvement! read more

Carefree Compounding just won my undying loyalty. I use them for my prescriptions and they have always been professional, kind, efficient and even fun to work with. I had no idea they filled veterinary prescriptions as well. Then Roadrunner screwed up an order for a critical prescription for my cat. After my vet called in the script, I called and shared that, due to Roadrunner's mistake, I was going to run out of medication. They went above and beyond to ensure I received her medication on time. I know how busy they are and yet they were still able to accommodate my needs because they understood that I was in a situation beyond my control and they could help. They are wonderful! read more

We ordered our shepherds valley medicine through carefree compounding. They were the most reasonable in price. Once i places my order , They set the expectations for the timeline and kept in touch with me through the start to finish process. I was mostly impressed with the pharmacist. Once I picked up the prescription, she went above and beyond explaining valley fever to me in detail ( way more than the vet and i have a very good one ). I've been getting my compounded medication at this location for a couple years now. Since the first fill of my prescription, I have found their product to be top notch and their staff to be the most friendly and personable ever encountered in a pharmacy. It feels like a small town local shop, where they recognize you when you walk in... not a big chain with ever-revolving staff that doesn't recognize you even if you come in every month for refills. They really work to make my life easier, whether it is their great refill notifications (text or email), their online refill option, their automatic refill service, their mailing option for when I am out of town, etc. Conveniently located near I-17 on Carefree Highway (SR 74), I think they can and should be serving folks from all over the north valley. But, for those who don't live near, you might want to check out their website and try their mailing service. You won't find a friendlier crew more anxious to fill your order right and do it with this level of personal service. If you are like me and some of your meds are unfortunately just part of your life story. Why not use a company like this that makes you feel at home and will quickly become the pharmacy you call "my pharmacy?" Worst pharmacy EVER! Just picked up my very LAST refill for my "specially made for me" compund and I will never go back. Called to refill with required information, only to get a call 24 hours later with notice that I needed to pre-pay- that was never a requirement before. I was told the new policy became effective Jan 1, 2019 and "customers" we're being notified when refilling, with formulation created AFTER payment was made. Then I was informed that it would be an additional 24-48 hrs. Great waste of time. When I picked up my Rx, the cashier demanded that I sign electronic statements. 1) Customer was offered a consult. 2) My signature acknowledges that I have been given the pharmacy's privacy form. I declined BOTH signature demands because I was NEVER offered either! The rude cashier stated that she was right here and WHAT did I want to know. Wow. I get home with my Rx and my receipt has a signature on it! Not MY signature. Fraudulent business practices combined with rude employees is not a place for so called "health care" providers. So glad I declined their offer to keep my payment method on file for future purchases. Find another compounding pharmacy, this one SUCKS! read more

I am incredibly impressed with this compounding pharmacy for a few reasons. First- I priced 3 different pharmacies before finding this one and they beat all other prices by half. I honestly thought that because the prices were cheaper the service would be the the sacrifice. Not at all. On a Monday the other pharmacies wait times for me to pick up was 3 days... one was over a week then they wanted to charge for mailing it to me because I was unavailable to pick up at that time. THIS pharmacy-They asked for 24 hours and told me if I couldn't get there the next afternoon they would mail or DELIVER it to me at no charge!!!!! The people in the lobby were super friendly. I was helped immediately. A small town pharmacy feel. The lady ahead of me didn't have her insurance so they called Walgreens and got it from them for her. When I picked up my medicine the pharmacist was wonderful - she told me about the hormones and the best way to use my cream. I learned more from her than I did my doctor and she definitely spent more time with me. She gave me her business card and told me to call if I had more questions. Is there any other pharmacist that does that? Overall I feel like my medicine was quality, the service was quality, and I will continue to use them for my compounds. The only other 5 star review was obviously composed by someone at the pharmacy. My doctor sent me there for hormone replacement compounding. The first batch was full potency, the second batch was more cream than hormone, confirmed by blood test result. I could also tell physically and mentally. Now, this week the ship appears to be sinking! On Tuesday I phoned in a refill, Wednesday night I called to find out what happened. They never filled it. Whomever, I spoke with said they would call when it is filled. It's Friday, still no call back. I now have to wait until 9am to speak to someone. They are marginally cheaper than name brand, not worth the misery. Walmart is a definite step up from this place. I would not recommend to anyone, complete lack of professionalism. I have a kitty that has to have a compounded medication to keep her alive. This has got to be the most incompetent poorly-run facility I've worked with. I called on the 6th to get a refill I had to call my vet . I called the vet they faxed over the prescription on the eights I ran out of product 3 days sooner than I should have so I was shorted on the prescription. Then I call yesterday morning they don't have the prescription I called my vet they told my vet they lost it I called this morning they didn't have anything I went to the vet they called them back suddenly they found the prescription then I drove over 45 miles round trip to try to get the prescription because my animals been without it now for over 24 hours only to find oh you wanted it today?? well we can have it for you between 5 and 5:30 tonight. I will never deal with them again incompetence can't begin to describe Carefree compounding.
