Because they sent new people and there was very little returning providers we had to continually explain Dad's needs and how to care for him. Although we explained how to get to the house, the manager did not include it in the instructions for the providers or they did not review it so we repeatedly had to explain it. Some of the issues we had included: A provider allowed Dad to walk without a walker. A provider left him alone to go into another part of the house to eat. When she went back he had managed to get himself out of bed and across the room. We found him in bed, without a pull-up and the bed was wet. One was over an hour late. We advised them that his hearing aids had to be removed when he slept and that his dog would eat them. They didn't remove them and the dog got one and destroyed it. We were told we needed to give them 48 hours notice. When we gave notice they told the caregiver next on the schedule he was cancelled. There was one outstanding caregiver. Hussein. She was companionate, caring and skilled. We were so happy when she came and she took excellent care of Dad.
