She looks around to see what needs to be done, not just what I ask her to do. She does more and exceeds my expectations. We plan his meals together and she cooks very healthy for him. I just show her all the ingredients and leave her alone. She makes sure he has protein, carbs (like brown rice), veggies. She makes a healthy salad for him too. If there are no hard boiled eggs for his salad, she will boil them. With her help in healthy cooking, my son's diabetes A1c went down from 8 to 6. She does all these things without my asking her: She leaves the kitchen immaculate, so clean that I don't want to touch anything. If I try to help her, she tells me, "Leave it; I will do it. You go rest." I wake up at 4am everyday because my son wets the bed. So I often take a nap as soon as his caregiver arrives. Not only does she sweep the food and crumbs under the kitchen table and chair, she sweeps the entire kitchen. She checks the washer and dryer. If any laundry there, she takes care of it, dries, and puts it all away. She prepares my son's diapers by inserting extra pads and marking "FRONT" on the front to make it easier to put on. She wipes my son very thoroughly after toileting. She will put cream on his feet. He needs the cream because his skin is so dry from diabetes. She will play Connect 4 or puzzles with him. He responds to her very well as she is able to get him to the toilet so he doesn't wet his diaper so often. She doesn't rest until everything is taken care of. We are blessed to have such a wonderful caregiver. We have other AHSSC caregivers too, all wonderful. In addition, the schedulers are very prompt notifying me of any schedule changes and clarifying who is coming and when. I think the schedulers are available 24x&. Thank you, AHSSC!
