Bought a house, and this was the company that the seller picked, so we had no choice in that matter. Our experience wasn't stellar. First hiccup, within a month of purchasing the property, our insurance provider sent a delinquent letter telling us they were never paid. Called right away, and our assigned escrow officer, Karie De Hoog, fixed it within a reasonable time frame. We would have let it go if that was the only issue... The more upsetting problem came months later when we received notice from the county saying the change of ownership was not received and that we would be fined if we didn't file properly. We have bought and sold a few properties before this and NEVER had problems with important forms and payments not being sent like this. Our agent tried to contact them by email and by phone regarding the matter, but they never responded to her. What kind of company doesn't return emails/calls? We have decided to deal with the problem ourselves and would never recommend Cardinal. read more

I have used Janice Bracht and Talia Garcia many times to close on my east Long Beach Cooperative listings. Highly recommend Janice - she knows how to bring levity to the table, and for that I am extremely thankful! read more

Cardinal Escrow we're absolutely amazing as escrow during our home purchase. Given a purchase is not something you do everyday, inevitably there are questions. The team (Kelly, Talia and anyone who answered the phone), seamlessly delivered beyond expectations answers and explanations to questions and thoughts. Additionally, we had the fortune of having Kelly come to our house as the actual Notary in addition to escrow - this is a huge help, as my husband and I are pretty much unavailable until late in the evening during the work week. This helped us avoid having to take any time off. Also, the team were fantastic in being part of the broader set of actors in the over purchase. Working directly with our loan officer and realtor. Emails and calls, dealt with professionally and promptly and with respect. Do we recommend them? Damn right! read more

FIVE STARS on customer service and availability. My family recently bought a house and this was the escrow company the seller used, and I'm stoked and lucky they did! Karie De Hoog and Christina Garza are amazing! I'm a first time home buyer and this process was foreign to me. I must have called Karie about a dozen times and she was enthusiastic to help me with every little question I had. We even had trouble with my bank wiring money and she helped me navigate that difficultly. Karie and Christina were immediately responsive to my lender, real estate agent, and even my HOA! 10 out of 10 would use again! read more

Absolute 5-star experience!! We had a very complicated transaction involving a two loans closing at the same time, a For Sale By Owner, multiple title transfers, a buyout, etc. I started working with other lenders and their escrow officers, but it was clear that the others did not know how to handle the transaction, which gave me very little confidence they could close the deal. Kelly was referred to us by a friend, and from the first conversation, it was very clear that Kelly knew exactly what needed to be done to close this complicated transaction. Throughout the process, communication was absolutely seamless, and she worked very well with my lender. I expected some delay given the complexity of the deal, but they came through right on the target closing date! If I do another FSBO or require escrow services again, no question I will be going to Kelly at Cardinal Escrow. read more

As a mortgage broker, sometimes its difficult to find working partners who work at the same speed and efficiency that I do. I was referred to Cardinal Pacific via Martine, their marketing guru, at a broker preview I went to. Martine set me up with Janice and Christina....that was a brilliant match. Janice and Christina are amazing! They respond immediately to emails and calls, they are proactive vs reactive, and the clients I send to them for closing always say, "well that was easier than I expected" Trust me, Ive been in the business for close to 19 years and Ive experienced alot of escrow officers...Janice and Christina are far superior to any other escrow officers that Ive ever worked with...Do yourself and your clients a solid....call Cardinal for your escrow needs and ask for Janice and Christina! read more

Finally closed on a house sale with help from Christina and Karie. I have never been involved with a real estate transaction and then I was thrown into this one after my father passed. I had no idea what I was doing but, they understand every question I had and explained it to me in a way I would understand. There were several issues on the buyer's side of the transaction but, Christina and Karie made me understand what was happening. Due to this I didn't worry about it as much. Why should I worry when there is a great team dedicated to closing this sale? Thanks for all of your help! read more
