Hard to not feel like I was fleeced out of about $100 here, intentionally or not. First time visitor - went in on a Saturday and asked what percentage they pay for trade-in values for store credit. The woman at the counter told me 80% which was perfect for what I wanted. The following Monday I brought in 10 high value MTG cards - almost entirely secret lair that I've collected over the last few years. I was offered much lower than I expected but I understand card values change and I was told previously that they bought at 80% so I assumed that was what they were offering. It's on me for not double checking but I trusted them based on what I was told before. It still felt off by the time I got home so I double checked and did some math and it didn't add up. Called the next day to confirm the trade in percentage - this time I was asked if it was Pokemon, MTG or Sports card. That's when I was told it was actually 65% for MTG. If I had known that I would have kept my cards. Multiple people expressed interest in my cards while I was still in the store so I know these will move fast. I really wish whoever I spoke with on the first day had clarified what kind of cards I was bringing in. If I had known I wouldn't have sold them in the first place and found an alternative. I received a reply on my google reviews that this was a miscommunication on their part and I think the store should make it right based on their mistake. read more

I usually don't write any reviews but I went into the store today and I didn't even know that it was release day or something, so I was able to get an ETB and they have some ways to stop scalping which is amazing. Also they are members of the buy back program from topps so if you are interested on trading that they can. They have all of their cards priced 100% fairly, same price or below pricecharting, was able to get a beautiful Piplup PSA 10 that after the buy back was only 48. There are hundreds of thousands of individual cards in boxes that you can go through. Some of the more powerful and sought after cards are under glass. As soon as he entered this store he could feel the warm welcoming home atmosphere. He normally makes me talk for him but here he talked They had $5 and $10 folders and boxes of $1-$4 cards and 3 for $1 cards and of course the pricier cards in the counters Very good selection and prices. I want to start by saying I won't be returning to this shop, not because of anything the shop itself did wrong, but due to reasons that are more about the community vibe than the venue. I attended a Two-Headed Giant Magic: The Gathering event. The entry fee was cheaper than other events, which was a nice surprise. When I arrived, I tried to make a bit of conversation, but everyone seemed focused on their own things. That's fine, there weren't many people there anyway. As the event went on, the vibe stayed the same: very focused on the game, with little casual conversation or interaction. It wasn't like other events I've been to where people help each other out or chat while deckbuilding. Here, it felt more like everyone was just trying to build the best possible deck and win. Once we started playing: The first game was close and enjoyable. Both teams seemed to have a good time. The second game, we were completely outmatched and lost quickly. I laughed it off and hoped to chat a bit, but the other team packed up and left, maybe to get food. Understandable, but still a bit of a letdown. In the third game, we had a short chat at the beginning. I joked about our bad luck. But after just four turns, they played a combo that milled our entire deck and ended the game in about seven minutes. There was no sportsmanship or real conversation, just a smug joke to her teammate: "Where was that card last game?" It felt awkward sitting there in silence after what should've been a 50-minute match unsleeving our cards to pack up and leave. So, if you're looking for a shop with strong competitive players who are very focused on gameplay, this might be the right place for you. But if you're hoping for a community that's social, welcoming, and friendly, especially for newer or casual players, I'd recommend checking out other shops around the area. Like going back in time to the good old days of local baseball card shops. Cool memorabilia. Every kind of sports or collectible card game available. Also neat memorabilia. Very nice older gentleman helped me; I assume he is the owner. He told me that they are moving to a larger space in the same shopping center. The shopping center looks like it is revitalizing a little bit for the better. Not a fancy place. Just a good old fashioned 'baseball card shop'. Brought back nostalgia for me. Great stock of new boxes of MLB cards. I bought a hobby box of Allen & Ginter. Wish me luck. Oh, prices were fair and totally in line. First experience here, dealing with Craig, was a very fair and informative experience. Walked in with 166 cards, left here with 163 cards.. if that tells you anything. But my overall second experience here as of today, was the worst professionalism I've ever dealt with in a business scenario. Dillion, the gentleman working the desk, easily was one of the most over dramatic and honestly an extremely narcissistic "professional" I've dealt with in a scenario like this. I never once asked if they'd be interested in buying my cards to begin with, I literally just came here for an evaluation as an extra source of information from all the sources online. But I gave him a test to see how honest he'd be with me, I have a charmander that I literally saw today before coming in go for sale on auction for $436 online. He showed me a card that was literally worth not even $3-$4... As soon as I communicated my understanding, this guy literally started getting devastatingly anxious/uncomfortable just by perceiving his body language... Like I said earlier I haven't asked if they're interested nor asked for a price to buy it at... That wasn't why I was even there haha After all that nonsense, I asked the dude(Adrian? Idk all he did was mumble or not not even answer my question) whenever I asked who the manager was.. again just testing them to see how they'd react. I'll let you be the judge from my experience.. Went in with about 500 bucks wanting to buy a vintage Pokemon card and some random newer ones for my wife's collection. The guy behind the counter on his laptop acted annoyed that I asked if the small display was all they had or if there was more. He mumbled something and when I got confused as to what he actually said he rolled his eyes before telling me that was it. I'm never going back and I don't recommend you do either. Big thumbs down to Card traders. I've raved about this place in the past. I've spent thousands in this store and could barely get anyone to help me today. Kept getting passed around when asking to see Pokémon. "What you see in the case is what we have" (maybe 50 cards) Which isn't true because I come in all the time and am able to look through bulk and other assortments of cards and they would price them for me later if they were busy and I would wait patently as they did so. (5 days or so) My guess is they are harboring them in the back now because of the current craze. I get it, but Atleast give me a chance to buy what you have. First of all, as soon as you walk through the door your greeted with a terrible smell of pee and bo. "What you see in the case is what we have" They really mean that, there is hardly any selection of slabs or any selection of decent cards to begin with. Most of the cards in the cases are base cards that aren't even toploaded, and when you find good cards, the prices are outdated and not marked to recent comps. Overall a bad experience, save yourself the time and go to Lucky 7 or Kenny's. read more

This little gem of a store is like a walk back in time. There's an old fashioned wheel that you can spin, in order to win baseball cards or football cards or even Pokémon cards. Really endearing. The owner adds in a smile, a free cupcake or some free candy, and always has something interesting to say. Prices are negotiable sometimes. They do buyback cards from collectors, but don't expect to get a large sum of money. The owner said, " I also need to pay my bills too." It was so interesting when my son walked in, and wanted to purchase a huge amount of Pokémon cards for over $100. I appreciated that the owner, asked my son, if his parents knew about this and where did the money come from? Walt is super knowledgeable and friendly. We had a good discussion about the value of my old '56 cards and my options selling them, and I ended up deciding that the convenience of unloading them there plus not having them rated for condition at roughly $30 a pop was worth it in the end. I also actually accidentally left behind a box of cards that were worth nothing but sentimental value for me and my kids, called Walt up and asked him to hold them for me until I could go back. I wasn't able to go for a week, but he kept them for me. I brought the kids that time and they had fun with the prize wheel they have for $1 a spin where you can get some grab bags or cards worth a couple bucks as prizes. It was a good day. Prices are a bit higher than you'll see from online volume dealers, but that's just a matter of economics. You don't come for the prices, you come for the service. read more
