Unfortunately we will be forced to file a complaint with the licensing agency as well and sue him for the return of the retainer.

Neither of us had a solid idea of what the home was worth so we agreed to split the cost of an appraisal. We found reaa online and saw all the good reviews here on yelp and made the decision to hire them. My first phone call went to voicemail but I was contacted back within the hour by Rob. He set us an appointment with Dale for a time that worked with our schedules. Dale arrived on time and was very pleasant. The appointment did not take long and we had a report in the next few days. Although the value came out much higher than we could afford to offer, we were very happy with the speed and ease of the service. When we decide to buy a home we will definitely call Rob and his team.

He did NOT get the appraisal done in a week --as promised to both the bank and me. We were supposed to close on Dec 13th. So now our closing has been delayed by 2 weeks while the Mortgage Company scrambles to get another Appraisal done. What a pompous a** this guy is!! Erin Foster Realtor 24 years experience

I found B & B Diamonds.. saw all the great high reviews and great positive comments. Sent a message and within an hour, I received a response from Alon, made an appointment for Friday. Alon is the best in town, we had the best conversation, felt like I have known him for years! He doesn't pressure you at all, he will give you the best fair reasonable price, HANDS DOWN! I was nervous going to meet him to sell and get rid of my 14k, 18k, 22k, 24k white and yellow gold and some small platinum earrings. If you're looking to sell and get rid of your gold jewelry, don't go to a pawn shop, reach out to Alon! You won't be disappointed! Cause I will for sure since I found more gold jewelry that I don't wear, that is collecting dust.

Years ago I went to Calvins with a Kate Spade watch that needed links removed and they were happy…read moreto oblige. So I don't know the review that says that Calvins won't repair jewelry that wasn't purchased there. Last week I went in with a gemstone ring (*not* purchased from Calvins) that I wanted made into a necklace and they were happy to do it for me. I paid for the repair and a gold chain. When I went to pick it up, it was not what I asked for, but when I explained what I had actually wanted and clarified my thoughts, they fixed it for me very quickly. The woman helping me, Kathleen, was very sweet and I appreciated that she wanted to make sure I was happy before I left the store the second time. My piece wasn't a big-ticket item like their engagement rings or vintage jewelry, but they treated me with respect anyway. My request might have been less expensive at a different store (and they turned down my request to melt down another piece of mine to make a ring, because they don't do that in-house) but their customer service is top notch.

Unfortunately, my review board (ARB) experience on my property tax protest was biased and skirted…read moretax code principles. The lack of accountability and upfront nature of it was shocking, considering I recorded the whole thing. 1. When requested at the end, the board did not give me their sworn affidavits 2. The board verbalized that they didn't receive U&E (uniform and equal) evidence for the recording when I had 5 copies brought to the meeting, with a copy for each plus the appraiser. 3. Even after I withdrew my market protest and the appraiser had no U&E evidence prepared, the board disregarded the U&E evidence in favor of the market evidence (even after my formal withdraw of the market protest) - completely against tax code. Despite my repeated emphasis that market value was not my protest basis, the ARB members repeatedly circled back purchase price as a reason not to reduce the valuation. This shows a clear violation of the Texas Property Tax Code principle that U&E and market must be treated independently. Their closing logic was telling: "He's purchased this house... and he's saying I want less... the district has met the requirements..." Not sure if it's poor training or just apathy. The district has NOT met the requirements of the Texas tax code. Unfortunately, the ARB hearing is such a waste of time. Just skip it for arbitration.
