As far as I am concerned, this business operates as a criminal organization. Years, ago, another shop my car was at brought these guys in on an engine tune effort. Days after they had it, they literally blew up my $25K engine and did nothing more than push it outside the shop. No explanations, no paperwork, no engine. Years later, an engine shop working on another car of mine pleaded with me to give these guys another chance. I tried to talk to them, but the absolute arrogance and refusal to admit their incompetence quickly steered me away. With good reason. They seem to be just as incapable of doing what is right for the customer and for the vehicle as ever. Don't let "new ownership" stories fool you. they are crooked in their business ways and will not take responsibility for their mistakes. Use these guys at your own peril. I took my Rochester Carb to Carb Connection for an overhaul during the pandemic. Fast forward to now: after three years at the body shop and a complete engine overhaul, I finally got my Corvette back. Unfortunately, the carburetor is in terrible shape, with less than 5 miles driven since the overhaul. When I tried to contact Carb Connection, the response was surprisingly hostile. Since I now live out of state, I will need to remove the carburetor and ship it to them, but they weren't even sure they could handle it promptly. This is a NCRS Top Flight Corvette, and I'm preparing for Nationals in 2025. The person I spoke with was rude and condescending, clearly dismissive of my concerns. To make matters worse, the insert for the fuel filter is stripped and leaking gas, among other issues. I recommend thinking twice before choosing this company; I will be sending my carburetor elsewhere to correct their mistakes. read more

So 1 Dyno tune was with 3.8 pulley. and I got 548 RWHP. I ordered 3.6 pulley . Came back to carbconn for installation and new dyno tune , this time I got 592 RWHP With a bone stock LS2 with Kooks long tube headers kooks complete X pipe to tips kooks . The job they did , there friendliness, I really enjoyed my time by here with those guys , well all in all Absolutely Amazing Results took my car to the right place Highly recommend!!!! March 30. Had my new 3.6 pulley and install appointment. The service was superior, had new pulley installed and dyno tuned and gained 44 RWHP Total horsepower from 385 base pull. After sitting for 3 years before I bought it, the carb on my 1974 Nova needed help. It turned out to be the accelerator pump and the float, both replaced along with all gaskets and anything else it needed. It was done on the day promised, I re-installed it and is now working great! read more

I brought these guys my corvette and they worked their asses off to make it faster for me. I worked with Troy and Alex. As these things go, there were points when I was freaking out and Alex and Troy always kept level heads and made me feel good about what was happening. Here's the kicker, there was an unforeseen issue with my car that was frustrating everyone, they could have easily told me to pound sand and bring the car back when it was sorted. They did not, instead they worked their asses off to fix my problem(not their problem). This is incredibly hard to find in any sort of service industry, let alone auto mechanics. They're shop is top of the line and you will see many high end hot rods and muscle cars in and out of this place. There is good reason that they are so busy. I'm conflicted about this review. On one hand, this shop does quality work on bigger mods and repairs most non-gear heads can't do. That being said, my issue is with Alex...the one you'll probably speak to. While he seems so have basic knowledge, I got frustrated every time I tried to have a technical conversation with him as he either tried to BS me, or told he me would ask Arrington. Now it seems in this shop, what Arrington says goes regardless of customer desire. Troy on the other hand seems to be the main great-head and if you want a real conversation I suggest asking for him. He's knowledgeable in a technical aspect and courteous. Finally, for anyone planning to go here for a custom tune and dyno I will caution you. I paid for it as well as the diablo tuner. And when I had my "custom tune" reviewed by a pro...he showed me how my tune was nothing more than the trinity canned tune that came with the device. Clearly not what I paid for. read more

I've never left a negative review online but my experience with Carburator Connection and Alex, it's owner, was so frustratingly ridiculous for me that I felt I had to warn potential future customers. After my experience with Carburetor Connection, for which I was billed about $800, I took my car to another shop, Ballard Automotive, that fixed my car in about an hour. I then drove the car from Seattle, WA to Austin, TX with absolutely no issues at all. If you'd like to know more, please read the story below. My 1977 International Scout II was backfiring through the carburetor under hard acceleration so I dropped it off with Alex (the owner) at Carburetor Connection in late 2013 to figure out what was causing the problem. Alex held on to my car for several months and charged me about $800. His ultimate recommendation was that I take it to a machine shop and ask them to pull the top end of the engine off and possibly have it rebuilt. I took my Scout to Ballard Automotive on Leary for a second opinion. Ballard Automotive performed an initial inspection and discovered that the timing was set to 25 degrees before top dead center (BTDC), which is way off spec. They set the timing to 0 degrees TDC and the backfiring issues were completely resolved. For those that don't know, the timing can be adjusted in less than a minute by anyone with a half-inch wrench and a timing light. I could show anyone how to do it accurately in 5 minutes, tops. Alex, the owner of Carburetor Connection, seemed to have the expertise necessary to fix my car; as the name of his shop insinuates, he works on carburetors and timing is an integral part of a carbureted engine. Not only did he miss the obvious culprit for a backfire issue (timing is not set correctly) but then recommended that I have the top end of my engine pulled and possibly rebuilt, which would have cost several thousand dollars. I called Alex and let him know that the issue had been fixed by a simple timing adjustment and then asked him to refund my money. He became obstinate, refused to acknowledge that he could have even missed the problem (going so far as to call me a liar) and, ultimately, did not give me back any money. He even refused to contact Ballard Automotive, the shop that ultimately fixed my car, to check my story. For me, this review is the resolution of my dispute with Carb Connection. As you can probably tell by the time stamp above, this whole debacle has been going on for quite a while. So, there you go. Buyer Beware, or Caveat Emptor for those that still speak Latin. read more

so were to begin took my charger hellcat to cabb conn for installation of parts and tuning they had the car for 2 months to install headers, injectors, fuel pump for e85 , driveshaft, heat exchanger and upper and lower pullies from the moment I picked up the car felt awful wouldn't go into gears check engine lights would go into track mode and idled awful along with some awful squeaking noise coming near my pullies I sent the tune it had out to a top hellcat tuner in the east coast and said my E85 Table on my tune was completely wrong at this point I had only driven the car since pick up 3 times for no more than 50 miles about 2 days ago I took a look under at the driveshaft and see that it has been rubbing witch explain the awful vibrations it was also spilling some green like liquid from under the driveshaft on the 4 time I took my car out was heading 10 miles from home on the way back the car started shaking along with smoke coming from my under my hood got a tow truck got the car home to see oil dripping from my air intake filter and the worst part a blown engine.... be-careful and do your research on shops before taking you're 70-80k cars in..... read more

Hello everybody my name is Brother Ron. I have a C-5 2003 Corvette with 60,000 miles. As all of us with older model Corvette's know, every new release makes us want a new model. After doing research I meet Mr. Alex , and visited carburetor connection. The shop was very clean, the staff was very knowledgeable. I decided to do the work . I did the headers and added a supercharger. My C-5 is now up to 495 hp. The supercharger fits perfect, under the hood. My Corvette sounds smooth and rides swift. These guys are absolutely amazing! They're experts happy to answer any question and are very transparent in their practice. Honest and fair is an understatement!! I had my car broken into 2 days after seeing them, when I filed a police report the officer who was taking my information on the items stolen told me I had been 'ripped off' and would only report my Diablo tuner as having a value of $399. I called Alex on Tuesday and he provided me with a flier from the distributor explaining that 2 of the 3 Diablo tuners are, in fact, priced at $399...but the one needed for my Charger (Chrysler model) was $450. I took this back to Kirkland PD and they amended the theft report. I will bring every car I ever own to Alex and his crew moving forward because they are truly the best! read more

Friend of mine got it from her brother; apparently it has "issues" and being all the way south in California, I could't really fiddle with it myself. I have an 85' F150 that these guys replaced the carb on and it died a couple of blocks later. At first I thought they screwed something up and they came and got the truck started and took it back to their shop. Come to find out I hadn't set the timing right and they figured it out right away.
