I am a skeptic, so my car buying adventure I assumed would be a nightmare as I'm sure most would assume as well. Im such a skeptic i wanted to wait at least a solid week after my purchase to even begin thinking about writing this review just incase something came up with the car. Ha! I drove an hour and a half from my home just to go to carbiz and I'm sure as hell glad I did. From the moment I stepped on the lot I was honestly pretty impressed. I was surrounded by quality vehicles and couldn't go more than a few steps without stopping to check out almost every one. When I met Josh, he was friendly, relatable, and calm. Not the typical in your face cheesy salesman I found at the other 7 dealers we skimmed through while deciding what make of vehicle I wanted. Josh was attentive and patient with us while we were walking the lot on a very hot and muggy day. The dealer was buzzing with customers but I still felt that I got the perfect amount of individual attention while not feeling smothered. Fantastic job on that Josh P. I knew the make of car prior to arrival by doing my homework and going to their online website. Carbiz had multiple Saabs and the dealer ratings were honestly quite impressive, so I knew carbiz would most likely be my #1 dealer of choice. I knew he had me good when he pulled up auto trader, compared the listing price with the ENTIRE nation, and carbiz was still at the bottom of the list in price and mileage for the car I wanted. (Having done hours and hours of research myself prior to arrival, I knew they were priced very well.) After an hour of giving him a hard time, we reached an agreement I could feel comfortable with. (Sorry again for the hard time Josh) :) He was able to get me a good deal, good financing, and cleaned up the car for me when I was ready for pick up. Upon returning home, I went through the glove box and found that my car had been previously owned and listed under a New Jersey pharmaceutical company as a fleet vehicle, along with every service record done on time for the entire duration of the cars life prior to my purchase. I was delighted, not only did I get a good deal, but I felt trust with the dealer, what they said about the vehicle, and THATS how you get a lifetime customer! I will definitely purchase another vehicle from Carbiz, and most likely they will be my dealer for life if they keep up the great work. Believe the reviews, it was a good experience, and I am in love with my new Saab 9-3! P.S. I would send anyone to Josh that is looking to purchase a vehicle even my own mother, and that's says a lot coming from an experienced sales person and skepticist like myself :) thanks again! Carbiz gives 'used car salesman' a new - positive - meaning! My car was totaled in an accident so I needed to buy a new used car. I did a lot of research about the do's and don'ts of buying a used car such as "do get it checked out by a reliable mechanic" and "don't let yourself be hassled". After I identified possible car choices online, I started calling dealerships to ask my set of questions. I got the run-around on the various fees some dealers add to the car's online price, I got push back on my request to take the car to my mechanic to have it checked out, and I had to listen to some unusual sales pitches as to why a particular dealership was better than others. Carbiz was the last one on my list and I first talk to Danielle. She gave me straight forward answers to my questions and not a lengthy sales pitch about stuff I wasn't interested in. When I asked to have the car checked out by my mechanic, she completely understood and in fact, told me that Carbiz would drop the car off at the mechanic and pick it up again! I was thrilled, so I set up an appointment to stop by. Matt Pollock was the sales manager; he pulled up the car, opened hood, trunk and doors and then stepped back to let me inspect it. He stood by patiently and answered questions when asked while my friend and I took our time to check out the car top to bottom. After we took the car for a test drive, Matt said that he'd leave us alone and that we could come inside if we had more questions. No hassling, no self-promotion, no sales pitch! The buying part with Myron was equally straight forward and pain free and he explained every document in detail. There were no sudden new fees or pushes to buy an extended warranty, just the $199 dealership processing fee that every dealer charges. Choosing a used car from Carbiz couldn't be easier and, yes, more relaxing! All the people there are upbeat and outgoing, the premises look very nice and their Vespa collection and decoration is rather cool. And their prices are very competitive! Two more noteworthy items: there was a spare tire in the trunk but no jack and there was no Owner's Manual in the glove box. Matt said he'd order both for me and would call me when the items had arrived. Hello, I'm in California looking at the CarBiz website and just happened to find two of interest. I did not want to call therefore I pressed the chat button which was a waste. The lady (Nationality not important) could not or would not give me any information about both 2011 Lexus vehicles I inquired about. Then what is the chat for? I believe the chat is to gather your personal information then the harassment begins from what I've read on Yelp. I then decided to call and ask for the internet manager Mr. Matthew P, but guess what another female employee answered the phone and told me in an aggressive tone that I could not speak with Mr. Matthew P. because he was out of the office. No can you leave a message or what time he would be available. I was then told I could speak with another employee, did I ask for another employee? NO. As a military man I've trained and worked with many different nationalities. The Carbiz employees seem to feel as though their of a different world. This untouchable feeling has left a sour taste in my mouth. My forty thousand dollars I intended on spending is going to some other car dealership. I know I can find the Lexus I'm looking for somewhere else. I had intended on buying a car from them upon my arrival, but thank god for Yelp it not only explained the mood of the lady from the chat but also the lady who answered the telephone. Wow, how can businesses act the way they act and continue in business. Hopefully not for much longer at this rate. First impressions are the example of what is to come, Yelp is the way to make right the wrongs committed by this terrible car dealership and their employees. I purchased a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu in May 2015 from Carbiz, 6001 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore, MD 21215. My experience with the sales department was excellent and I was very pleased and satisfied. Since purchasing the car, I have been using the service department there for maintenance of my car. I have gotten several oil changes using their best synthetic oil and other minor issues. Eva and Chris have provided me with the best professional customer service ever!!!!! They were patient with my questions and are very knowledgeable and helpful. Kevin drove me to work and picked me up from work while my car was serviced. Colin, the owner even jumped in and helped me with my engine starter key, cleaning it, seeing if he had one to give to me and just overall assisting me with getting a new one in the future. I love, appreciate and respect excellent customer service. I am a satisfied customer. I think the bottom line with me is, I have such BAD AND NEGATIVE experiences dealing with my cars IN THE PAST, that when you get an honest, attentive group of people who are genuine and sincere, trying to help you, it is MORE THAN refreshing. I've bought a lot of cars over the years, some new, some used, and my experiences have never been as positive as the process of buying a car from Carbiz over the past week. From the phone call I received from Sam in response to post I made on Autotrader, to the test drives I took with Josh and Sam, to the lengthy conversation my wife and I had with head mechanic Colin, I couldn't be happier with the whole process which resulted in me leaving with a pristine 2010 Audi. A no point did I feel pushed to buy: everyone was simply helpful, friendly, and professional. In fact, I decided to run to Carbiz the first time (multitasking to get in my workout and check out cars in my lunch hour), and when the Carbiz receptionist saw that I was a little sweaty, she gave me some hand towels to dry myself: a simple, but friendly and welcoming gesture. As another example, when we were in the negotiation 'mode', the owner of Carbiz, Evan, came out to introduce himself and just get to know us a little. He was respectful, helpful, and did nothing to try to push us into buying the car. Spending 30 minutes on the floors of the service center was enlightening: Colin was very knowledgeable and reassuring. Edited Version - I was contacted by Matt from Carbiz, to bring my car in to the service center and see what problems i was having with it. I appreciated that the dealership took the time to address the issues of an irate customer. I was un able to take the car in, until a week later, but during the course of the week, there were e-mails and phone calls from both Matt and Harvey. Definitely, 5 stars for the customer service. My husband ended up taking my car in on the following Monday and was given a rental as promised, and i spoke briefly to a lady in service about the issues that were still occurring. As they went along with the repairs, i received phone calls as to what they were able to do and what was taking them a bit more time to address. Communication? 5 stars. We got the vehicle back on Wednesday evening, with all issues taken care of. I am very thankful!! This is the first dealership that i have dealt with, that actually took the time to reach out and see what was going on. They wanted to see why i was un-happy with the vehicle, and worked with me to address the complaints. Definitely a 'human' aspect to the interaction. I had the best car buying experience here! The Internet sales department was really helpful and friendly. They even remembered small details from passing conversations. Sam, Matt and Dani were quick with email responses and were able to answer questions quickly. The car I bought when I originally went to see it was in the process of be detailed and they even took me back to where it was being cleaned which made me feel confident that they really have nothing to hide when servicing the cars. The whole property was squeaky clean to watch the floors they can be slippery! Even what I thought would be the painful part signing all the paperwork was as easy as the easy button, Myron was super helpful and made confusing numbers super easy to understand ! I even got to meet a raven! Overall my experience was awesome it felt like a big family atmosphere where everyone was there for a common goal to help you the car buyer! read more

Overall a great car buying experience! Jacob was professional and knowledgeable and not pushy at all. We came with our own financing ready to go and even though they offered to check with their banks to try to get us a better interest rate, when we declined they didn't try to push it on us. Jacob delivered the car to our house the next day! Very pleased with the process and the communication! We will definitely talk to Jacob when we want to make another car purchase! The only area we weren't enthused by was the lack of transparency with the pricing. Since Carbiz labels themselves as a "no-haggle" dealership, it would only be consistent to be up-front on pricing. In our case it was a $500 dealership documentation fee (on a $10k car) in addition to the usual registration/titling fees required by the state of Maryland. Be prepared that they will not be willing to negotiate even an inch on the fees. read more

As I started the search for making my first ever vehicle purchase, I came across Carbiz. After checking out their vast inventory on their online website I was very impressed. I placed a call to the Internet Department to set up an appointment to come in and check out some vehicles. The Internet Department was great! So helpful, informative, and quite the humorous and professional bunch. When I came into the dealership, I was greeted with a warm welcome by Matt Pollock from the Internet Department. He was able to show me multiple vehicles in my price range, and answer the ten thousand questions that I threw at him. He was very knowledgeable on the inventory of cars and with his help I was able to find exactly what I needed! It was a great pleasure purchasing my BMW x5 from Carbiz. After walking into the showroom, the warm welcome by Karen said it all. Our first time Internet car purchase, and it couldn't have gone better. All of the folks (primarily Matthew) at CarBiz were spot-on with their description of the car's condition. They drove it before shipment, and determined a seat heater wasn't working so actually credited me the cost of repair! They also paid to replace a tail light bulb when it wasn't working upon delivery. No questions asked either! Car was clean inside and out, all tires had good amount of tread, and car had a recent oil change by CarBiz. Car had to be shipped cross country (MD to CA). It arrived a few days early in perfect condition (through winter storms). Great price as well, compared to the other sites we were considering. Their low key approach and no haggle policy is very refreshing. From start to finish, I was treated with honesty and respect. My wife and I traveled 500 miles to make this purchase. It is staffed by very nice and courteous people in a modern, up-scale atmosphere with straight forward, no haggle pricing on their vehicles. We found a 2014 Acura RDX at Carbiz through the USAA car buying service that was listed $3,500 below market value according to the USAA website. My wife and I drove there from Rockville, MD and met with Andrew Kinne who was very nice, showed us the car and let us test drive it. The next day we arrived to buy the car and were helped through the smooth process by Katie Macris. I was referred to Harvey at Carbiz from my mechanic when he was unable to perform work on the transmission of my Mercedes E500. I had a great experience working with everyone at the Service Center!! The repairs were completed for a very fair price in a very timely fashion. All repairs were explained in detail so that I was clear on what was going to be repaired and why it was going to be repaired. They even had to do authorizations and transactions with my warranty company, which was no easy feat!! I have been back a couple times for additional work here and there, but my car drives like a dream now, and I'm very confident recommending them to anyone! I just went to carbiz just to look not to buy, but after talking with the sale representative, Raymond Allen, I don't know what happen. I ended up buying a van. It was just what I needed for my business. I thought that at this time I couldn't afford paying another bills. But after he showed me 4 different vans and talked to me about my business, I realized what I needed to do.
