Hooray for the small businesses still doing their thing. While I'm not much of a person for sweets, I can't seem to help myself here -- those stroopwafles are pretty dang good. Plus. the people working here make you feel like a member of the family. They also have light lunch items if you want to feel less guilty about inhaling stroopwafles. The food is as good as my memories of this establishment. It was my grandfathers favorite and he passed away in 1997. An all-time Billings favorite! If I could I'd eat there every day and have dessert EVERY time! Their baked goods are like nothing else you find in our area, and all are perfect. We live the sunflower nut bread for our sandwiches (order early cuz they run out of it). Chicken salad seems to be my "usual". CCW has the BEST corn chowder I've ever ever ever had. I kind of stalk the place so I can be sure to get it the day it's offered. The only "complaint" I have w CCW is that since their soups are made fresh daily, the flavors/spiciness isn't consistent. I'll ask if one type has bell peppers in it - they say no but some days it has it and some days it doesn't. It's not the servers' fault. I think the ingredients vary. read more

I wasted my time and gas this morning trying to visit this business. I looked online and it said it was open, only for me to get there and it was closed. While this isn't a worst case scenario, it was still extremely irritating. If I can't find when you're open online and it be the correct answer, how else am I supposed to know when your establishment is open? Also, every other time I've been there, the employees have all had nasty attitudes so maybe work on that before you charge people a ton for a spoonful of soup and rude service. read more

I spent 13 years in Chicago not not frequenting the local bakeries whenever my pin money would allow it. It is in those 13 years I was taught with the harshest of hands: I had taken the Dutch bakery completely for granted. Taste, texture, bake, ingredients, the lunch pastry sandwiches would put any of our French chefs to shame. Who knew what the Dutch were doing all these years we fought over the French masters? Wow... So we were on our way to church (we are new in town) and out of nowhere the wifey asks "oooo, what do you think that Carmel cookie waffle place is?" I immediately pull out my phone and hand it to her and she looks it up on my yelp app. Good reviews.... So a week later we finally made it in. Didn't expect to be hit with so many choices! Baked goods, deli style lunch options and oh my word the desserts looked awesome. We just had lunch so we opted to share the Italian pasta salad and a couple brownies (Carmel brownie and a cream cheese brownie). Hands down the best pasta salad I've ever had (see photo) and thebrownies were pretty good as well. We took home some stroopwaffles for dessert after dinner which were amazing. We also bought some bread that we will try later today. The customer service here was fantastic! When we said we were new in town and had no idea what a stroopwaffle was she immediately pulled one out for us to sample while she explained everything else on the menu. We are fans and will be back. If the lunch menu is as good as our dessert and side I will for sure update to five stars. read more

I had to try their dutch stroopwafels after reading about it on Yelp!! :) and yes, they are awesome.. thin waffle cookies filled with caramel.. yummmm.. Their Tomato Basil soup is to die for!! I had their veggie sandwich which is also very tasty. Their other desserts are great too. I just loved their apricot bars. The best part was the customer service. I was just visiting Billings area and the girl at the counter asked where I work and where I live. I visited the place 3 days later and she remembered me and was very sweet.
