**Product replacement runaround for 6 months**. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PURCHASE or take ANYTHING to this store for service or issues. You will not receive ANY customer service. Pay more or travel to have work done somewhere else. I purchased my initial subwoofer from the Fort Collins store which was absolutely phenomenal and when I had an issue and couldn't find a direct replacement offered solutions to the issue right away. This store has been an absolute nightmare and hands down the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with. I have received ZERO phone calls regarding a possible solution or resolution. It first started by scheduling an appointment over the phone since I can no longer make it easily to the ft Collins store. When I showed up to the appt, no one knew I had it scheduled. After taking all day to confirm the sub was blown, they put in for a warranty claim for a replacement. Or so I thought. About a month goes by and I call to check in, no one had sent the claim in. So they sent it in, this time on the wrong item. I was patient and waited a few more weeks, got told about JL audio being bought out(which happened 3 years ago) and was no longer making product and they couldn't source it. Then car toys claimed bankruptcy and that was another excuse as to why this would take awhile. Almost 6 months goes by with me being the only person to call or keep up to date on the issue every couple weeks. So finally in the last couple days they are saying it's on the warranty company. So I start calling the warranty company and they have it approved for replacement since early August! You're telling me it's been approved for 3 months and you guys can't find a replacement? To top it off, I've been told they can't find the sub.... That's a straight up lie. They can be found for sale brand new on many different websites and even Garmin who purchased JL audio has on their website the same exact sub for sale. I don't comprehend how a solution has not been offered. Hands down the WORST customer service experience of my life. This store has lost a customer, and it's not just my business you are losing... I have been in the dealership world for 15 years and you can be sure this experience has and will continue to effect my business and many others with this location. I went into the Greeley store and picked out a stereo for my car and got an estimate. I was told that I would have to give them 2 days in advance for the stereo to be installed. I set up the appointment and was planning for the vehicle to be worked on. The day before my scheduled day, I had to call 911 for my wife and she was then taken to the hospital. I had to cancel my appointment, called to setup a new appointment. They told me that they needed a 10% deposit now because it's there policy. The deposit is not a problem, it's just that the store is a 1/2 hour drive from my house. It would be an hour trip to give them $16.00. I have no idea how this location stays in business. Maybe a captive market. I have an aftermarket system in my truck that was installed by a CarToys location in Denver. Head unit, backup camera, amp, subwoofer. The backup camera had stopped working and I couldn't connect any new devices to bluetooth. I wanted them to troubleshoot it and let me know what was needed. While checking in my truck, a tech came outside with me and said he was pretty sure the bluetooth just needed to have some devices deleted and it shouldn't be a big deal. He wasn't able to do it on the spot so I left the truck with them. The next day I get a call telling me that the camera seems to be bad. I asked about the bluetooth issue and he had never even heard anything about it. So I told him I would just come in and look at a new camera and talk with them about the bluetooth issue there. I went to the store and talked with the same kid I had spoked with twice before. He acted like he was totally unfamiliar with me, my truck and the problem. So I told him that I got a call telling me the camera was bad so I guess I will have to look at a new camera. He goes in the back, talks with a tech, comes back and tells me that the tech said the camera was bad. Yes, I know. I just said that. He gets my keys hands them to me and tells me "You're all set." So I leave. Really?!? I told him that I was going to look at a new camera. He apparently blanked that out I guess. I left because I decided I really didn't want them working on my vehicle any more. Maybe if I could find that one tech who came outside with me. Instead I called the store on Broadway in Denver. The manager there located the manual for the bluetooth module and said he is sure he can clear it without a problem and they would be happy to install a new camera for me. Good job, guys. Went in today to look for an upgraded stereo system for my 2020 Dodge 2500 . As I walked in I immediately notice a tech without a mask. I didn't have mine on so I didn't think anything about it. Had a new radio head unit installed. Radio supposed to have back up camera. Picked up vehicle and got home to discover Radio does not work. Gets no radio stations. Back up camera not working. Phone function not working either. Only thing that works in the unit is CarPlay but if I'm using car play and I get a phone call I cannot answer the call. I think they are wanting to charge me more money to get things working. If that is the case I will have them just remove the new unit and put my old factory radio back in and refund me and I'll move on. I cannot recommend this place as it stands right now. I set up an appointment for the "Ultimate Interior & Exterior" detail package to be done on my vehicle. I was walked through each package and decided on the " Ultimate". They didn't have time to do it that day so I set up the appointment up first thing the next day. Whole different crew and a different story of what the "Ultimate" package was going to be. I walked around my vehicle with a tech I told him that his story wasn't matching the story of the tech from the previous day and said I'm walking. Trust level went from 100 to zero in 30 seconds. I had also got a quote to replace the OEM entertainment and navigation unit, speakers and amp ($3550). Trust out the window for the detail and now so is the other quote. read more

I ordered an automatic car starter on Black Friday; installation included from the online order. When I called to set up the appointment, install was $250 (annoying, but okay) but they also don't make appointments over the phone - I had to drive 35 minutes to the store just to schedule an appointment. While there, I agreed to upgrade the car starter I ordered to one with a lifetime warranty and scheduled the appointment. I appreciated the appointment was only half day like they estimated. However, in less than a month, the automatic car starter stopped working. I have called and emailed with no response. Not only is the car starter fob not working to start the car (will lock and unlock only), my dealership fob now auto starts my car if I hit the lock button. I know this is new because I tried all variations of buttons before ordering this. So now I'm out more than $500, can't get anyone to return my calls or emails, and will randomly have coworkers come up to me at work to tell me my car is running (because I locked it with my fob). SOOOO frustrated and disappointed. Do not recommend if they won't stand behind their product and install. read more

I thought this place was pretty cool but first impressions are usually always wrong and they proved me right. Went in got credit for $1485.00 Picked out a stereo for $500.00 Even paid for a 4-year plan (insurance) And a $35 Vent cleaning service The owner was telling me that with all I paid for I couldn't afford speakers with the service and the extra parts I would need to put in the stereo he said that he would do me a favor and throw in some speakers. And that would be only the front speakers. The stereo came with the backup camera which was what I came in there for so I thought I was getting a two-fer. The Back-up Camera was free. A) So this is where it started I proceeded to work on the car it took him 9 hours just to get the deck and speakers in. B) They said they couldn't finish I'm going to have to bring it back they did partial Air Vent cleaning and said they would give me a whole new Air Vent cleaning for free. Which they never did. C) So they made me appointment for the following Saturday the only day I had off of work be there at 9:15 a.m. I was there at 9:10 a.m. and they said I had to wait cuz all the Bays were full I don't understand making an appointment and I'm there early and I have to wait especially when it already took 9 hours the previous day. So anyway I did it anyway. I should have realized from there that this particular shop is questionable. So that Saturday it took another 7 1/2 to 8 hours to finish said work. D) Okay here's where some of the problems started. 1) they wanted to drill a hole in the license plate and the deck of the trunk. I told him I could not do this because I travel to and from California. In California if you if you tamper alter a California Plate it's a felony so I told him no I did not want to have a drill hole in the plate. Dave said it was no problem in Colorado they've never had a problem with it ever. So they decided to drill a hole in my trunk lid right where the plate would be since just moving here to Colorado I haven't had the Colorado plates yet. 2) so after realizing what they did. Having a hole in my trunk lid right where the license plate would be with the camera sticking out basically you would only see sky and everything above waist high. Nothing to would be seen waist down. And they thought this was good. 3) so I have the deck in and the speakers in and I find out later they had to rip out the stock speakers which were perfectly good. And I quote you they said you would have to rip out the stock speakers because it was too hard for them to take it out any other way. 4) they also thought it was good just stick the USB cable through the glove box and out the opening of the door of the glove box creasing The the cable. I have them change it to where it was coming from under the dash where there would be no problem with any kind of creasing at all. You know common sense s***. E) So the very next day after I picked up the car I go down to Walgreens Park in the handicap stall since I am handicapped reach for my handicap placard that's always in the door of the driver side and yet it is not there. The only place that I took the car the day before was Car Toys. Parked it in the garage that night I came back from Car Toys and the next day drove to Walgreens to pick up my prescriptions. So I went back to the shop and of course they did a look around and couldn't find it. I've been disabled since 2011, and this is the first time that is not been in the driver side door. So if they couldn't find it that tells me something that someone else needed it worse than me. This is uncalled for. So I informed them that I was actually going to work Sunday afternoon to midnight and working Monday 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. that I would be back around 11:30 a.m. . And that I would then want to have my handicap placard back. Or I was filing a police report and I'm going to return said merchandise and be stuck with a hole in my trunk for actually thinking these guys were legit. If you actually think that I'm bringing my car in you got a big ass bump in your head. My wife is in California for medical reasons and I decided to get her car a backup camera and new stereo. And now I have to explain to her why she has a hole in her trunk. read more

I have gone to Car Toys twice this year for both an upgraded car stereo and then for ceramic coating of my car. The sum total of these car investments for me was a bit expensive. With that being said, I can do nothing except compliment the men who helped me. Christian(sales), Travis(manager), Ernie(sound installer) and Joe S(detailer) were all equally excellent. Customer service-a lost art- was practiced each day I was there from buying the components needed to the installation and detailing. I would recommend them to anyone looking for sound systems for cars, safety equipment for cars, installation of stereos, and detailing with ceramic hardener. The used truck my son bought had some stereo issues. He took it in hoping they could isolate the problem(s). They basically pointed to a wire that wasn't attached was the cause of the problem, but completely ignored other wires we had questions about. Basically they did nothing to help. Do not give these people your money. They are bums. Bums! I had an appointment to remove a device from my vehicle, it was for 5:30 yesterday evening. While en route I called to inform that I may be a few minutes late, it was then that I learned they had forgotten my appointment and may not even be able to serve me. Finally I was told I could come in but would need to leave my vehicle for 4 hours. This was unacceptable. Their agent, I think his name was Travis, told me it was a two hour job anyways so he didn't see the big deal, two additional hours are not an inconvenience, he said. Well that may be true for you buddy but it isn't for me. Firstly, just to get this out of the way, it is not a two hour job. Period. I knew Travis was lying to me at this point. I have had one of these devices removed and reinstalled in the past due to malfunction and that entire process didn't take two hours. Now do you see why I say bums? They are bums! Secondly it's a big difference because at 7:30 part of my family is not asleep so for all of us to go back to pick up my vehicle with my wife's would not have been as hugely inconvenient as us trying to find child care at 9:30 @ night with almost no notice. Anyone with children would know this. Finally, I am compelled to add this: Any business in an economy dominated by industries based on providing services that does not provide good customer service should not be patronized, consumers need to jump on this bandwagon and quickly otherwise we will all be doomed to a world of callous corporations that focus solely on profit at the expense of the customer experience. This is now my 5th time in this store and they told me that on my 4th trip all they had to do was replace the sub. I said ok. No big deal I'll come back when you have that sub in stock because I still have the warranty. Nobody said I needed an appointment. Don't come here!!!! Go to quality auto sound or maybe try another car toys. But the one in Greeley, Colorado is a poor excuse for a business. Car toys headquarters should be ashamed of this store. They installed a Kenwood for me last Summer and I had a couple of issues with the Bluetooth connectivity. After completely replacing the stereo with a like model, the problem persisted. At this point they just replaced the unit with the most current stereo (an upgrade) and they threw in a phone holder for my dash. I'd give them 5 stars, but the installer forgot to hook up the stereo antenna and the back up camera, so I had to go back to get it done properly on two different occasions. I don't use the regular radio often, so I didn't realize it wasn't connected for about a week. read more

I was using the company to remove an electronic ignition interlock device which I have in my car voluntary. I am a recovering alcoholic. I called to ask them if they could call me with any cancellations in case I was able to get in earlier, and they were very rude and put out by the call. They didn't even say they would see what they would do, they said there was no way there would be any cancellation or earlier availability. They also said it would be double the time the interlock company quoted to remove the device. Horrible customer service. read more

I purchased a $1199 radio and I asked them to do three tasks. Install the radio with siriusxm, add a front camera, and connect the TV satellite to the system that I brought in. They did half of everything. The Sirius had to refreshed every time the vehicle was started, the front camera was a mirror image, so left was right and right was left. I almost hit a parked car because of it. Even though I was told that they could hook up the satellite tv, they told me when I picked it up that they didn't have the right connections. So, none of the three things I asked were taken care of. When I returned a week later to have them fix their misdeeds, I asked for the camera to be taken out, don't touch the TV stuff, and hook up the Sirius correctly. Expecting some credit back, I got $7.00. The worse part of all of it is they could not explain the bill for labor. In the end I paid $3000 for a fancy radio that had a handsfree phone connection, which when driving away did not work correctly. I can't take it back a third time to fix things that they are supposed to be experts at. On the front of their building it say 3 million satisfied customers. I wonder how many other people like me were not satisfied. I wish I had looked here at Yelp. They had a bad reputation before me. read more

I received a warranty phone by UPS and was told to go to T-Mobile to get all my stuff transferred from my old phone to my new phone. I went to T-Mobile and 45 min later they still couldn't figure out how to transfer my information to my new phone. I also asked T-Mobile for a new Zagg screen saver which they didn't have. I got to my car and called Car Toys in Greeley and sure enough, they had a screen saver for me. I went over and Heather Noel came out and installed my new screen saver for me. Then I told her about the issues I had with T-Mobile not being able to transfer my data. She said she could do it for me and sure enough, 10 min later I walked out the door with a new screen protector (installed beautifully) and all my data transferred to my new phone. I can't say enough good things about the Greeley T-Mobile store. They have always given me top notch service and I really hate to even walk into a T-Mobile store anymore. Thanks Heather! read more

I went to this place to find out if they could fix the HID headlights I had installed in FL in my car, the first employee that came out to look at my car was very helpful and said that he could troubleshoot the lights for me and maybe that would fix the problem ... Since I was on my lunch brake I told him that I could come back later to do that and he expressed that he was leaving soon but maybe his co-worker Kyle could do it for me but he would have to ask him first, as we are walking back to the store "Kyle" was coming out so the other employee asked him about troubleshooting the lights for me later and he immediately responded in a very unprofessional way in front of me "ABSOLUTELY NOT" so they scheduled an appointment for me to comeback the next day. I came back and left my car, about an hour after "Kyle" called back saying that troubleshoot did not work and that in order for him to get it to work I would have to order some aftermarket parts and that he would rewire the HID conversion kit that I had installed in my car and it was going to cost me $400. I did not do it and he said that I could try ordering the HID bulb online and maybe that would fix the problem and said that he was going to call me back with the bulb # that I was supposed to order. He never called me back. When I went to pick up my car later on I told the other employee that "Kyle" never called me and that basically I paid them $94 for something that I could have figure it out on my own ... the other employee gave me a refund of $45 Dollars and called Kyle to find out the kind of bulb ... Kyle told him that he tried to get in touch with several times but that I did not answer and that was a lie 'cause I was sitting in the office all day with my phone in front of me, at that same time another lady came in with her son to pick up their vehicle and they told her that since they had to do some "upgrade" to install the speakers on her car it was going to be $25 more and that they left a message letting her know but she checked her phone and she did not have a message. The next day I found out on my own that all I had to do was to disconnect the HID conversion kit and that all the factory wiring was intact and I only needed to get stock bulbs that was less than $50 to get it fix. He never mentioned that ... but he was trying to rip me off $400. This place sucks. I will never bring my car there or send somebody there. he probably thought that since I drive a Mercedes he could take the money from me. read more

I was greeted by a very pleasant, personable, & knowledgeable sales associate; Heather Noel. She inquired what I was interested in, made some suggestions & recommended that we have her installation specialist Joe, look at my suburban to make sure there wouldn't be any hidden surprise charges. Due to my suburban coming equipped from the factory with all bells & whistles, your crack-shot Heather / Joe team made sure which factory functions I wanted integrated into the new system. Heather & Joe made sure that I received a thorough & accurate quote for my suburban. Heather's shining sales service kicked in when she saw the poor & appalling condition of my cell phone I answered. She informed me with a smile, that she would gladly help he find a suitable new cell phone. We worked together, found a phone, she set it up, transferred my data & I was off with a shinny new phone. Sunday came & I had been trying to get my g-mail set up on my new phone. I could not get it to work no matter what I did. Figuring it was just my inept ability with technology, I returned to car toys. Heather greeted me by name & ask how she could further assist me. After Heather tried MULTIPLE different attempts at making my g-mail work on my new phone, she decided to try another phone. Of course there were no models of the phone I had just purchased left. Un-detoured, Heather got a different phone model in the same price range & set to work. After starting over from scratch, she had me up & running on all cylinders with the now newer phone! I'm here to tell you that Heather is a customer service ROCK STAR! I have lived & traveled overseas in S.E.
