Paid 300$ in ubers to arrive, 1 hour and 30 mins to even get here for my appointment just to get told the vehicle had sold a hour after my appointment was made. Would have been nice to receive a heads up a day prior to not come in. Wouldn't recommend as the price fluctuated on the phone from 11K to 17K quickly. if your coming from far i wouldn't recommend this dealership. read more

I had a 23% apr ... at the time I didn't understand how it works so I take full responsibility. I had them telling me this is the best deal I was getting. Unfortunately I could afford the vehicle after a few months and had to get a voluntary repossession. Please don't use this company I was pressured into purchasing the vehicle. At that point they said once I gave them my Social Security number - It was kind of a bound. Years later, it's still in my credit.. read more

My car was hit and I took it to a local business thinking I would support them. Gave me an estimate that day I went Made the appointment to get it fixed.. 2 extra days later they call saying my car is ready.. Then when I asked the young lady how much she said we'll didn't you get a check. I said yes but I'm paying cash. She told me she would have to call me back. 5 minutes go by and the insurance company calls me to say they had car masters on third party was it ok if they sent over the claim from insurance I said of course. Not even 5 minutes later she had the total and it was $ 400.00 more then the first estimate. Try saying that they painted extra. The girl that took care of me not helpful or friendly. Well if I ever have to have my car fixed it wouldn't be there for sure. My friend did tell me they suck but I wanted to give them a chance and I found out on my own. read more

Drove a long way to see a car listed on truecar, vehicle had a bad bumper and was repaired, when I saw the repair it was nothing short of a kid spray painting it with a can...dried running paint and blobs of clear coat..Mickey mouse job! No real attempts to find me another car. Pushing for me to finance instead of paying cash because they benefit from bank bonus' Aside from a girl named Lauren who genuinely cared about customer service, that place is all about business, not service or car care! Would never go back, would never recommend! Ended up buying from Mercedes of Roslyn. Got excellent service, and an immaculate certified mercedes Benz with free maintenance....worry free for years to come! Peace of mind is second to none! read more

After seeing a decent deal online I called, texted and emailed with this dealership to schedule a test drive. After not ever speaking to a salesman I was a little worried that I was being stung along but was assured the car was avalible, encouraged to provide credit info, and even sent a CARFAX on the car. After showing up from out of state I told "the car must have been sold in the last 18 hours". While I can't know for sure, this felt very much like a bait and switch where they tried to sell me a lesser car. If this is not the case I would have expected a call letting me know the car I had been inquiring about was no longer avalible. Car is still listed online. Salesman was very personable and professional. Just wish they were a little more honest with inventory and availability. read more

Short story - Make sure the sales person not only verbally commits but also writes down and signs a "final price" agreement before you sit down with the finance person. What a waste of time. Long story - After visiting multiple dealers, my family decided to purchase a vehicle from this company. The main reason why we chose this dealership was because the sales rep appeared to be genuine and was professional throughout the negotiation process. We ended at a price and he said he would check with management. Since it was Sunday, people had left (mind you, he was busy with another client so we waited over an hour to speak to him but that was ok because we liked the guy) and we understood there were holidays coming up, we said we would gladly wait until Wednesday for the final answer and pick up the car on Friday. Tuesday I received a call from the rep. He said the car would be ready by Friday. I asked "Oh, we are confirmed at the final price?" The rep confirmed yes. I also asked if the small dent on the body and the minor liquid accumulation issues were resolved. He again said yes. Everything would be done for us by Friday and since he would not be there, he wanted to make sure everything would run as smoothly as possible. Wednesday - My dad goes back to the dealership, sits down with the rep to reconfirm everything. The rep yeses him again but unfortunantely did not initial anything in writing. Friday - We get there as early as possible to sign the papers and pay for the car. The finance person said the figure we thought we were going to pay was not quoted in the paperwork our rep had provided. We spent over an hour trying to figure out why there was such a miscommunication between us, the sales rep and the dealership. We asked to see the car. The dent is still there and the "mystery liquid", we were reassured it was not oil but condensation from the a.c., was still there. We were told the dent would be fixed after the car was purchased while the rep said it was going to be fixed before Friday. Waste of our time and waste of the dealership's time. After Sunday, I was ready to praise this dealership and its customer service. Unfortunately, this place fell into the used car dealership stereotype. read more

Great dealership, very clean, everyone is very friendly and helpful. This was the only dealership on the island that had the color, model, and upgrades that I wanted, for a very good price with extremely good mileage. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from them in the future. ***Edit, I read some of the "not recommended reviews" and I do agree that they did add $100+ to my monthly payments compared to what is shown on their website. However, I have little to no credit so my payments would have been this high no matter where I went. This was just my personal experience. read more

Buyer beware when working with this dealer! They had a specific vehicle I was interested and I was going to have it shipped to me out of state. The salesperson came up with excuse after excuse when I wanted to pay by bank check or wire transfer for the car, pushing for financing instead. When I did not allow them to them finance anything into the price (sales tax sir? how about shipping? an extended warranty?), they delayed, ignored my calls and gave me the runaround for weeks. When I finally got a manager(?), he told me the car was sold and gone. Apparently they don't want your business if you have cold hard cash. read more

Scammers and liars! Flew to NY from out of state to buy a BMW X3 these guys advertised on Autotrader. The car was not ready when I arrived and was not even safe to drive... needed all new brakes. My overall experience with European Masters was great. The treatment that I received was good and people I dealt with were courteous. My buying experience was very thorough and there was no pressure to buy. Darryl (sales personnel) was very helpful. He called and checked up on me every chance while my C300 I was waiting for my insurance!. So yea overall the sales part was good. The bad part they said I would get my navigation chip through my mail and it's been a month and I still have no update on it. The person who I had to coordinate with (Nicole) apparently the service manager does not answer my calls nor does she reply back to her emails or voicemails , I've been trying to reach her manager Norman and the standard reply I get is he's not at his desk. European Auto Masters, A.K.A. - European Scam Masters! My fiancé was researching vehicles at European Masters and was approved for a 2013 Mercedes, Darryl was the representative that assisted in the sale. When my fiancé was ready to get the car, Darryl showed a different vehicle other than what my fiancé was approved/promised. He then went on to say that vehicle is no longer in the garage after we traveled all the way from Brooklyn and he'd have to upgrade us for a 2014 which'll be more money and would require a co-signer despite my fiancé's good credit being ran down. In hindsight that was an immediate . I then decided to co-sign for the upgraded 2014 Mercedes with Darryl's promise that my fiancés name would've been on the financed agreement and then later receiving the TITLE with ONLY my name on it. I STRESSED I DO NOT WANT A CAR and I won't be held liable or responsible for anything having to do with this vehicle. Again, come to find out, my name was the only one on the loan with financing bank and car title. This place is a scam they'll run your credit several times, without your consent after consenting for it to be ran not more than once. DO NOT GO HERE. My Credit was in the mid 700's until I got here. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. When I reviewed my credit report it was lowered drastically. They will make a great impact on lowering your credit score before you walk out the door. read more

No Stars for so-called Masters. I went into the showroom yesterday (8/19/16) and spoke to a Daryl (salesperson) told him i was interested and trading in my 2014 VW Passat SE (that i'm leasing from Volkswagen Financial) and trade up to a 2014 Mercedes GL 450. I came with all my paperwork, Payoff amount, etc. I was straight forward with him and emidiately he started thinking of ways of getting me more money for my car to "offset" and "finance" me into the GL. While i was in the waiting area, another customer was complaining that after taking their loan, her 5 series BMW's engine keeps shutting off while driving!!! she's had the car for less than 60days. They continued to give her the runaround and isn't helping her (RED-FLAG #1) RED FLAG #2 - When Daryl returned from "getting the keys" he told me that the vehicle is out on a test drive with another potential buyer. I then told hem that the other guy can have it and left. Thank God I didn't go through with purchasing a car with these Cons!!! My advice, go to a real dealership. Like Koppel, Star or Certified Automotive Dealer that has the manufactures name in the title. & Lease if you can.... besides, every car depreciates as soon as you drive off the lot. read more

First of all I regret purchasing a car here, this people are Liars, scammers and non trustworthy, this dealer is a ripoff. I purchased a car here with the promised that I was gonna be able to upgrade it in six months, eight months later I go back after $6k down and a total payments on this car of nearly $4k and barley using the car to not put milage on it for the trade in purpose, to find out that the car that they sold me eight months later the car depreciated $14k meaning I'm outside down and loss $14000.00. Now to get the new car the want crazy amount down to cover the ripoff, and when I said crazy is another $10k + on top the $14k already lost. Keep in mind my credit is on the low 700's and we have really good income, so there's no excuses there. This people are opportunistic, and all they want to do is ripoff people and take their money. I usually don't do this but I just can let this go and If I can prevent this to happen to someone else it will be good. Please save your self the hassle, headaches and your money and go somewhere else. This people have really bad reviews everywhere, check them out and you'll see that I'm not the only one. Also this people will lower you credit scores because they send your info to like 20 banks and every time someone runs your credit brings the scores down but they don't care they just care on what bank they will get a better deal for them not caring about screwing their customers. read more

I took a flight from Vegas to NY, They did sent me a ride from the airoort, that was nice and thank you for that, when I arrive to see my new BMW M6 Gran Coupe, I get to the showroom and I see the car has the worst painjob u could ever see on a so called Very fast sportscar . Awful. Awful. Awful Experience. Was told for two weeks prior a total car note (not the principle) would be one price, they had all the credit info for weeks before I came in, they knew what loan they were going to offer with an exorbitant interest rate of 19%. After being there for 5 hours for simple paper work (as everything was previously agreed upon) I was told in the last 10 mins. That my car payment would be DOUBLE what I was told. This was after getting an insurance quote, paying registration and DMV fees plus a down payment The finance guy acted like he doesn't know what the sales people do. The sales guy Henry acted as if he doesn't know what the finance department does, although he admitted he knew about the interest rate , he never mentioned it to my boyfriend and they had been speaking regularly for AT LEAST two weeks. My boyfriend was so appalled he walked out so he wouldn't do anything stupid due to anger. The manager or whoever came in to apologize and I see he's on a lot of these posts offering apologies, but what good is an apology when it doesn't explain why his business is ran this way with malicious intent? My brother is a business owner and I've worked in many branches of costumer service before. My experience was unlike anything I've seen. Like a few others have seen, with no explanation from the General Managers, this is classic "BAIT & SWITCH". Now, I would never go so far as so write a defaming review of a business or help ruin a company's reputation if I didn't think what they were doing was mean spirited and in poor business taste. A waste of time and really shady. read more

Great dealer! Alex and Norman ensured I had the car I wanted ...

European Masters is a complete fraud. The attorney general and Better Business Bureau is aware and in the process of making this a news worthy piece. I have contacted over seven other people who have gotten into a fraudulent transaction, in the past year and we are teaming up for a major lawsuit. We know there are others. If the car you bought from them was tampered with? If the Carfax was fixed? And if they lied to you to get you into the car please join us. U 2 are a victim. v.lawrence@gmail.com The manager, Norman is the ringleader to this scam. He might even be the owner. We bought BMW's and Mercedes cars. Our car faxes were fixed, the miles were rolled back and our cars we beyond lemons. All had been in accidents of some kinds and we have repair shops from BMW and Mercedes dealerships to prove it. Darryl and Norman held onto my credit card, personally for over 3 months after I left. Wouldn't even let us leave without buying the car. We were there for 8.5 hours. I wasn't pressured. I was forced. 9 months later they ended up doing a rewind on the loan and admitted to fraud. I am owed a refund around $15,000 and Norman is keeping it because Masters already spent the money and can't pay me back. the car they took back was a White-4-door, Mercedes E350 with last 4 vin digest being 1414. The 5 star reviews here have been done by their own sales people and their families. And from people they helped get out of past fraudulent loans. Beware and trust someone who is taking them to court with seven others. Norman. We r On 2 U and Darryl too. To this date they have rewinded over a dozen loans for fraud. read more

I came across European Masters in great neck Ny when i was searching for an E class 63 AMG. I called them for some information and they put me on the phone with Darryl. Asked for some furthur information, condition and availability and they said the car was in great condition, was available . I immediately placed a deposit and asked to hold the car for me as i am based in Los Angles, CA and had to take a flight to see the car. The following morning i have submitted a finance request and they called me back saying i was approved with an OK APR and they they will send me over night the documents to sign. In the meantime i went ahead and booked the flight and hotel tickets. Called the following morning since the documents haven't arrived, but nothing..no one is answering as if they were avoiding me. Called the manager Norman and he said the car was at the body shop getting fixed (already a problem). Called the front desk and they said the car is available for sale (another problem), managed to call Darryl from a different number and he answered miraculously admitting the car has been sold to someone else.. So much lies, deception, miscommunication between the staff. Why do European Masters NY deceive people and take their deposits, run their credits, make you book tickets and fly 3000 miles for nothing... I am reporting them to the state attorney general for fraud, false advertising, running hard inquiries taking deposits for no reason read more

I confirmed verbally with sales department that the car was available. In fact, they told me that the car would be gassed up and parked out front waiting for me. So I made the 4 hour round trip commitment, only to be told after 30 minutes of waiting in their lobby (and refusing to see any other car), that the car had been sold. They pretended that it had sold the day before, but two weeks later I still see it on their website Bait-and-switch is their business model. If you want to waste your time, call European Masters. Called in on Sunday morning (they are open Sundays, vs Saturdays) and talked to a young lady who told me I would be called back by Alejandro, the sales person assigned to me. That call back happened on Monday after I briefly used the chat function on their website asking again for any Sales rep to be available. And so the typical car salesman tactic start. The advertised price only applies when, ... the dealerfee's (over $1000.00) are non negotiable, but maybe I can do something about it... I can get you a better finance rate than what you have... Alejandro was aware that I am an out of state buyer and that I would put down a security deposit ones we have come to terms with the drive-away price. So I was convinced to possibly finance with European Masters (BMW Bank), so a hard credit inquiry was done (which will reflect negatively on my credit score). The rate was not competitive. I told Alejandro what parameters would work, yet again, I was told to hear back the next day. Overall, it was like pulling teeth to get in touch with Alejandro. So the next day arrives, at 11am I send a text to ask for an update and we actually come to terms. I am ready to place the deposit for a weekend pickup. 10 minutes later I was told the car already sold the day prior. The usual excuses, when there is no security deposit, blah blah blah... we are high volume, yada yada yada. It is clear there is a lack of communication between the sales agents and I question why I had a credit check done in the first place. Maybe, and I am going out on a limp here, if you would advertise with the real price and visibility of add on fee's, ones time wouldn't be wasted! read more

I am currently on the market for a new vehicle and began an extensive search through my company's auto purchase program. I came down to 5 solid vehicles which included a 2013 X6 located at European Masters. Since I've only dealt with BMW and Mercedes dealerships, and never dealt with a third party dealership, I am used to world class service and was uneasy about dealing with independent dealerships. I read the reviews and noticed common cons with European Masters, but did not consider them dealbreakers. I decided to on 5 vehicles an scheduled an appointment to came into the Euoprean Masters to meet my potential new vehicle. A couple of buddies of mine are also on the market so I drove from NJ to Staten Island to pick up a buddy to look at vehicles. We entered European Masters' showroom Sunday 4/2 and was assigned to Alejandro, who initially seemed helpful. He showed me my desired vehicle and spoke to my buddy about his vehicle of interest. We sat down, I filled out the credit application and expressed this is a first of few stops on my search for my next vehicle. I expressed an interest to test drive the vehicle and he said that he could not do that without an approval and a deposit. I expressed that i would have to test drive the vehicle to aide in my decision making process. He said that "all X6's drive the same", I responded with that's not true and that I came a long way and would like to test drive, he responded, "the car drives nice" they all drive the same. By this time I was through and wanted to go to the next location. He gave my buddy three different updates with the last being his vehicle of interest is at service. SMH.. We were both disappointed and just wanted to get out of there. Although I loved my vehicle of choice and would like to move forward, i cannot digest bad customer service especially when I'm paying my hard earned money. We had to add value to our journey and dined at Peter Luger's Steak House which redeemed the journey. Again greatly disappointed at the lack of service received. read more

***Update*** Car was registered in Connecticut during this entire escapade. Carfax shows that the car passed inspection before I ever set foot in the dealership. Called to speak with Norman, the manager... who proceeded to berate me for placing a bad review online... Just goes to show, not a reputable dealer. Worst Car Dealer I've ever dealth with. Everyone tells you want you want to hear, ranging from the phone service, sales person, finance manager, to the general manager. Dubious business practices. Poor Customer Service. Try to squeeze you for every dollar they can. And when they figure out a way to make more money, they'll kick you to the curb. My Story: I contracted European Masters to purchase a vehicle. I called prior to driving there (2hrs away) to confirm they were open. Was told they were open until 8pm. Got there at 6pm and they were closing (I chalked this up to miscommunication, but it was just the beginging). On that date, I placed a deposit of $500.00 via credit card and received a written piece of paper from the senior sales associate outlining the price. I had informed them I would pick up the car on the following Tuesday. I then called on Sunday 4/12/14 to confirm that the car would be ready and was assured it would be. On Tuesday, I come to pick up the car and it is nowhere to be found. I am told that the car has lights that had turned on that would prohibit it from passing inspection (excuses excuses.... who puts a car for sale on the lot that can't be sold). At that point, I suspect that the car may have ben sold in the interim following my deposit/contract as one of the salespersons had let it slip. After discussing with the general manager, I was told that the car is being sent to the mechanic and they are unsure when it will be fixed if at all (affirming my suspicion of fraudulent sale). Fast forward nearly a week(4/23/15) I am informed that they cannot fix the car and are "selling it back at auction." In this time European Masters is unable to produce the car and/or service records to affirm that they cannot sell the car. But That was beisdes the point.... I bought a working car, not a fixer upper). My deposit was refunded. But wasted a ton of Time and Money for nothing. Stay away, as they provide no less than unsavory business practices, near fruadulant activity, and/or bait-and-switch techniques for personal gain. ***Update*** Car was registered in Connecticut during this entire escapade.
