Car Care Customs did great work deep-cleaning my vehicle carpets. They removed all the removable carpet for cleaning outside the vehicle, and the non-removable carpet was deep-cleaned as well. Also, Jaime did a great patch-job and sealing of an area of my roof. I experienced some trouble w/ the business phoneline/voicemailbox; having to call several times before reaching someone, and being unable to leave voicemail messages (either the mailbox was not set up or it was full). Outstanding work at Car Care Custom! My car flooded due to me not clearing leaves from under hood and trunk plus I have a moon roof. I was away during the week-long rains a couple weeks ago and came home to water under my carpets and the smell of mold growing! My mid-life crisis is big, beautiful and blond. Born in 1974 she is younger than me, faster than me, and much much sexier than me. It can be difficult to keep her in the style to which she is accustomed. And sometimes, like all true mid-life crises, I neglect my wife and my family to spend my money and my time with her. When we go out together other men look at us together and openly salivate. Sometimes they look at me and smile. Sometimes they give me the thumbs up. Sometimes I can detect the sneers of envy and jealousy in their glares. A few men have asked me if they can touch her. A few have asked me questions that are beyond the pale: " What's a white man doing with a black man's baby?" "How much will you sell her to me for?" She is my 1974 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. 500 cubic inches ( 8.2 liter V8 engine), 365 horses, over 5 tons of pure American Beauty. She has been in storage until recently and when I got her out the roof was not working. One guy quoted me $1000 to fix it. I took her here. Jaime is a genius. He has been doing this for 29 years. In 5 seconds of listening he diagnosed the problem - the repeater needed to be replaced - and fixed if for $200. Two weeks later the repeater burned out again and he put in another one free of charge: " You are under warranty my friend" he said to me. Of course, I might have a more serious electrical problem which is burning out the repeaters, and only time will tell. But I will come back to Jaime to get if fixed - and also for upholstery work - he fixed a door handle which had been broken. This is exactly what you need if you have a car you care about - a back street guy with low prices who does great work and who you can trust. Absolutely brilliant. read more

I have a 2003 BMW Z-4, and took it to BMW of Rockville to get an estimate to fix the convertible top, which had quit working. I almost fainted when I was told that it would cost $3000 to fix it, due to--according to the service department--the fact that the hydraulic motor was burned out. I decided against it, but thought maybe I should get another estimate--and when Murray's Auto told me that they don't fix stuff like that, but that I should give Car Care Customs a call, which I did. Astonishingly, the estimate from Jaime was $250--he said it didn't need a new hydraulic motor, it only needed to be re-sequenced--I have no idea what that means, but I can tell you that the top works flawlessly, and I'm not out $2,750! So, if you have a car issue like I did, be sure you don't stop with an estimate from a dealership--do yourself a big favor and give these guys a shot. The other thing is, Jaime is very funny, too! read more

Due to a Self inflicted action my sunroof (09 VW GTI) needed repair. I initially called "Wheaton Service Center" who is AWESOME. Tom said they could do the work but said he knew someone (what Auto Repair Shop does that? Honest ones!!!) that would be a specialist in the area and very reasonable cost - Car Care Custom of Silver Spring. On that recommendation (a Thursday) I called Jaime at Car Care Customs and made an appt (because Tom at Wheaton Service Center is that kinda of guy). Jaime (Owner) scheduled me for Monday at 8am (he took my call while he was Out of Town - cool). He looked it over and immediately identified the issue and told me what it would take, about how long and how much. I walked over to the Enterprise at Quattro Auto Body and got a rental (just 6 minute walk). In short, he was able to get a used part quickly and completed the work by Tuesday evening for pickup Wednesday morning. The cost came in less than his original estimate (great job on finding the right part). He went the extra yard to seal around the sunroof drainage hoses which are known to leak on Volkswagen's (thus avoiding a future repair I would need). Jaime (the owner) explained it all well ahead of time with examples from another removed part and then showed me the replaced part after repair. The interior looks the same as the day I bought the car - great work and the sunroof is back in business. I'd recommend his shop. NOTE: Cash or Check, not credit cards. read more

Jaime and his team are AMAZING! They completely reupholstered the ripped and torn upholstery in my 2008 Accord and made the car look and smell brand new. The upholstery had bubbled up and torn as is customary with 2008 Accords and my kids had destroyed the back seat with melted crayons and all of the yucky stuff that kids offer. Jamie replaced the leather on all of the seats, doors and arm rests. He even replaced the leather on the gear shift boot on the stick. The car looks absolutely beautiful! He is AMAZING! read more

Brought my 2001 Audi TT Roadster to Car Care because the top would not respond to the hydraulic motor. Since I had a replacement, Jaime gave me a quote for labor, admitting that he hadn't worked on this model before. The next day he informed me that the entire top had to come of but he would honor the quote. When the top came off the rear window glue and gasket gave way and needed to be redone which he added a charge for. He then discovered that the hydraulic lifters were leaking fluid and needed replacing. I was able to find replacements so he had to add to the labor charge again. The bottom line is that while he was sorry he ever took the job, he assured me that he would do the best he could and wile taking longer than anticipated the job was completed with professional quality and good humor. I am sure that he did not make any where near what his "standard rate" would be for the amount of work he put in. It was the job from hell and he handled it with honesty and quality. He actually spent 4 full days of his own time doing the work because he made a commitment. All too often these days service stations and mechanics do not stand by their commitments. This man is the best and do not hesitate to bring him your work for seats, tops and any other interior work that needs to be done. All the best my new friend!! read more

I had a new interior put in a '95 Ford Ranger. That was everything from the headliner, to the carpets, to the upholstery, to the trim. They did a beautiful job. The attention to detail is superb. It's been a year, and the work is holding up great. The prices are fair. Ask anyone in the area. This is the place to have interior work done.
