My recent visit was for just a simple oil change. And though they had other customers who I'm sure were spending way more money than I was, they still got me in & out of there. I have DEFINITELY found my mechanic. I cannot sing enough praises about this shop. Joe is so friendly, honest and thorough. My alternator recently died in my now 5 year old Toyota, and I had to be towed to the shop on a Sunday evening. By Monday afternoon (less than 24 hours later), the guys at Car Bach had found a new alternator for my car with a lifetime warranty, installed it, recharged my battery, topped off my fluids and had me back on the road -- all for under $350. I couldn't have been happier. I was convinced I would be out of a car for at least 2-3 days, and I'm so impressed at how quickly they got the job done. As I was driving away, Joe called and told me that one of my back brake lights was out and if I wanted to come back, he could replace it real quick. He didn't want me to get a ticket. I went in for an oil change and the technician checked my other fluids as well as the brakes, fan belt and tire pressure. After actually showing me not telling me the wear on my brake pads he gave me different options on what the cost will run for repairs and it was very fair and it took no time to replace those worn out brakes. We were heading out of town and I realized my oil needed to be changed before hitting the road. My boyfriend had to stop at work first so I yelped oil change places near his work. The closest place was next door but they didn't start oil changes until 9:00. I drove to Car Bach and he happily got me in immediately. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Nice gentleman, good work, but he took longer than mentioned.. Prior to leaving the next day for a 6 hour drive, I decided to stop by his shop after work since I was passing by and noticed he didn't have any clients. I waited for him to stop talking and come to my car side, he spent 10 minutes going in and out of his shop.. then another car pulls up beside me and quickly he went to attend her and ask what she needed. So much for 'first come, first served"!? Then, another couple in a crummy looking truck got spoken to and they left. Then a delivery truck came and he accepted a package. 15 minutes later he finally gets to me just to tell me that the shop is closing soon, but he would change my car oil next morning. SOO instead of going to another mechanic, I accept his deal and come around next morning, he took maybe 20 minutes to change my oil and then suggested that I needed to have my tires rotated.. so I agree to it. Despite me saying that I was in a hurry because I needed to go to work; he didn't make haste to finish within the estimated time he gave me. I waited and waited and he continuously stopped to do other things on the side and it took him way beyond an hour to finally get done- I think that if he had focused on my car, he would have been able to finish faster and throughout my time there, only one other car stopped by, but they left quickly. The total for oil and tire rotation came out to around $74. I'm pretty sure there are other places that have a better deal and with a quicker time to complete the same service. Nice gentleman, but really he should focus on one thing first or get another helping hand.. it would have been considerate of him to just let me know honestly it would take him longer than promised for the work.. or I could have returned another time to rotate the tires. He's a nice guy, awkward to talk to, but hope he works on his customer service skills a bit more, I like to see family shops do well. His old farty golden retriever desperately needs a bath or at least a good combing, one stroke of my hand and I swear I could make a wig out of all the fur that came off. Lol. He should leave a comb nearby in view in case waiting clients want to brush her, hell-- I would of brushed her for free, seeing all that loose fur gave me OCD. read more

My car had two broken belts and lost one of its rotors. These guys got it fixed, also showed me why my car was making a horrible noise, and they fixed that too. All of it very cheap. I would recommend them to anyone. :) read more

We went to try this place out for an oil change and they did a great job at a reasonable price. The mechanic even came out to show us the dipstick level after the 4 quarts were added to make sure that we were OK with the 4 quarts versus 5. While we waited we enjoyed playing with Blondie, the shop's dog. She's a sweet aging dog with very warm eyes. We'll be going back. read more

Came today for the first time to get my oil changed. The owner was very helpful, even though I do have some foreknowledge about cars I didn't feel like they were trying to manipulate me for being a female. He showed me where there were problems rather than just telling me verbally (and to be honest some of them I knew preexisted before coming in) and he even put air in my tires for me without letting me know he just did it which I thought was nice of them. Price was decent. Definitely coming back for my next oil change and eventually to fix the other problems in my car. read more

The Owner does decent work, but he's Not winning any best mechanic awards any time soon. He can have a really bad attitude depending on when You catch him, which is totally out of line. His Charges are WAY MORE than his work will ever be Worth! His shop is No where near state of the art by Any means. There is No Customer waiting area but strictly Outside & it's absolutely too hot in houston for that, so his work NEEDS Deep Discounts for the many inconveniences & subpar work. read more

I am a new customer to these guys and have had my car in for two different problems. My first visit was when my longtime trusted dealership did not notice that my brakes were nearing replacement and I made the point to ask about their life expectancy. I had metal to metal only two hundred miles after they told me my breaks were fine so I tried Car Bach and they did my brakes for a reasonable price and I am safe on the road again. My next visit was an oil leak I had been putting off because I had been told that I had two expensive gasket replacements to do by my trusty dealership. As it turns out, I only had one gasket leaking, that Car Bach repaired for two hundred dollars less than the dealership quote. I typically don't trust my car to just anybody because I grew up with a mechanic and usually I could fix it myself but that involves broken nails and grease under the ones left in tact. These guys have won my trust. They are honest and have the client in their best interest. read more
