Our dinner was fantastic!!!! Where can I start? ... first of all, Jesus our waiter was very amicable and attentive to our needs and wants. We where seated promptly. We didn't like the table where we originally assigned to and surprisedly there wasn't any fuzz in changing our table. Our waiter greeted us right away and let us know the carpaccio was one house fav. We took both fish and beef just to compare difference. The carpaccio's had the tastiest juiciest taste yummy!!! We order the fish carpaccio witch to our surprises it wasn't fishy and the beef carpaccio was fresh (bright red) perfect cut. As for the main course we had tomahawk, Sur n Turf, and skirt steak. The steak was delicious!! Thought Tomahawk was a bit expensive for the amount of actual meat. Yet, we understand sometimes it part of having the delicious bone a lot of fatty will be there. Regardless of that the meat was so soft it melted in ur mouth like butter. Will definitely go again. The service was quite fast considering so many families where present. This restaurant is a total family place. Not very much fancy everyone is dress beach attire.

Don't miss the gators : )

I wanted to give this place 3 stars because my ribeye was average... at best. But everything else was really good! The asparagus was cooked perfectly. My sangria was delicious! And if you've never tried it before, I would recommend the mango cheesecake - yum!! And whatever you order... don't miss the gators at night : )

Everything we tried was delicious. The mushroom arancini, the mussels, the seafood soup, the tiramisu. Staff at the front desk is nice but the service lacks a bit and the waiters are rude if you don't tip them. Also, for Royal Uno all inclusive guests about half of the menu is at an extra cost...

Food was great best clam chowder I have had. And the service was excellent. Recommend this place to anybody that's coming to Cancun.

We sat outside and German was our server. He was outstanding and really made the whole experience for us. We started with calamari which were pretty standard, mussels were amazing and shrimp cocktail which was also good. We finished with the coffee flambé where German put on a fire show. My daughter also loved the crocodile Pedro who hung out right off the doc where we were sitting. This was part of our AI package at our resort but felt far superior to All-Inclusive resort food. Would recommend for date night or with family.

Seafood surprise - split with my 11 year old son - we destroyed it - yum

Food was good, but there seems to be a bit of "hey this is a fancy, difficult restaurant to get into, but sure we'll take you right away if you don't have a reservation. Oh, and what hotel are you staying at?" I have eaten here twice on different years and I would again. The service is excellent, the seafood is fresh, and the other dishes are solid. However my son and I split the Seafood Surprise, and while we enjoyed nearly every bite, the real surprise was when the check came. Everyone else's dishes were in the $12-15 range. Our special?? $72!! Come on, where did you fly this stuff in from Canada?! The ocean is 10 feet away! It felt like a rip off - and while I take blame for not asking how much the special was, it feels like a reach to charge that amount of money for a meal made for two. I would return again - they have some creative drinks and the view of the water is very special - just leave surprise for someone else.

Amazing food, great ambiance. Service was excellent. Went there late night around 9:30-10 pm they are about to close but they took us. We were starving and good thing their food was amazing.

We made reservations didn't need them the place was empty. We wanted a nice relaxing sit down dinner. Instead we were distracted by screaming kids a few tables down from us and the next door restaurant was so loud and distracting. We had a hard time concentrating and having a conversation. The next door restaurant doesn't have a wall but a curtain so you can hear everything and they use speakers and a microphone so you hear the loud music and the dj as if you were there also people kept coming in and out. For the amount of money you pay for dinner we were disappointed. We wanted a quiet intimate dinner instead left with a headache. Not sure if it is loud every day or we came at the wrong time. Our food and drinks were just ok nothing to brag about.

Sangria, Manhattan Up, and an Old Fashioned.

No trip to Cancun is complete without a dinner well-spent at Captain's Cove! I've been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember and it is still just as magical 20+ years later. Pancho (the crocodile) is obviously a highlight of the evening, but the service and personalization of the experience are what makes it memorable. I've never had a bad meal here and the coconut ice cream is so creamy and fresh. After dinner feel free to wander over to "Pancho y Willie's" for a little karaoke. * Pro tip: If you don't like oily vegetables, order them "al vapor" aka steamed. *Pro tip: Make reservations if you want a table directly on the lagoon, those are the tables that fill up first.

Come for the scenery, not for the food. And pray that no one orders the 30 minute birthday mariachi band while you're there (why someone would subject a loved one to 30 min of this is beyond me, yet I witnessed it). Maybe I'm being too harsh, but it was like the outback steakhouse of seafood. Everything on the menu was stuffed with something else. A veritable seafood turducken if you will. But that sunset on the patio... this is probably the best place to view a Cancun sunset with drink in hand. It's also set up for big groups, kids and of course, mariachi lovers.

Been here multiple times and its a sure hit or miss. The last two have been pretty decent. Located on the south part of the Cancun strip facing the lagoon, La cueva as they call it, has been a staple for years. They also acquired the restaurant next door and now its even bigger. The food is not bad at all, its just missing that umphhh or wow factor. Ordered the risotto and it was bland no salt or any other flavor besides the cheese. Also ordered the shrimp trio and even when the shrimps are "UGE" aka Huge only the coconut flavored one was actually great. Over all it was just the same food dressed differently. The view is just amazing during sunset and service impecable. Maybe i was just picky that day but overall does not disappoint.

The staff didn't…read morejust greet us; they welcomed us with the kind of warmth and attention that makes you feel like the entire evening was designed around you. Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. Our night felt luxurious, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable for my husband's 50th birthday! Well done Harry's!

We loved it so much, we ended up here twice in the same week. The service is outstanding here and you can tell they pride themselves on customer service. Before the meal, they do drop off bread with dipping sauces, garlic, and butter. The perfect appetizer. One reason I love this place is the salads. They are big enough for split for 2 and I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options. Personally, the cesar salad is my favorite. What I love about this salad, is they make the dressing right in front of you. Definitely a cool and unique experience. The first time, I ordered the tuna steak. It comes with a soy sauce and a garlic butter. These two sauces on the tuna makes for an incredible meal. I cannot say enough good things about this entree! The second night we went my boyfriend and I split the Cesar salad and the skirt steak. We also added on a side of mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. The whole meal was delicious. I couldn't pick a favorite part because everything tasted so good. Splitting this was the perfect meal for two people and we even had a bit left over to snack on the next day. I always have a wonderful experience with even better food when I come here. If you happen to be in the area this is a must stop.

For my entree, I had the whitefish, which was cooked perfectly and served on a bed of mashed potatoes. I wasn't able to finish everything because the portions were generous. It was a lovely evening.

In the past this place has always been a staple for us, but each year we go we like it a little less. This year majority of the group was disappointed in the entire experience from the service to the food. To start, the service was lacking compared to what we get at other local restaurants nearby. Our servers did not frequently come back to ask if we needed anything and we were constantly having to ask to get our waters refilled. The drinks are good, but nothing we can't get elsewhere. Half of our group enjoyed (but not loved) their food and half did not enjoy. My SO and I split the al pastor meal. In the past we have loved this, but this time it felt like they rushed to make it and the flavors we remembered just weren't there. It was still good, but I think it could have been better. I do love the churro cart here, but you can get good churros several other places. Overall, this place has gone downhill in our opinion, and for the price it isn't worth it when there so many better options close by. I'm sure we will be back, but I think we might skip a year stopping here.

Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly. The service was flashy but slow, and we followed the waiter's recommendations for both an appetizer and our entrees. He told my girlfriend her entrée didn't come with a side, so we ordered one. After several cocktails, her entrée arrived--but mine never did. I sat there watching her eat while I waited. When I asked the waiter where my meal was, he simply said, "it is not working." I then asked a manager for help, but he disappeared and never returned. The bill came with no apology, no explanation, no discount, and nothing complimentary. It was an awkward and uncomfortable way to end what was supposed to be a special evening. Mistakes happen, but what really bothered me was that there was no effort to acknowledge the problem or make it right. I do not recommend. Me quedé sentado viéndola comer mientras yo esperaba.

The atmosphere is lively, upscale, and clearly designed for people who want dinner to feel like a whole event. Food wise, this is where things fell a bit short for me. I ordered the spicy Maine lobster croquettes, ribeye steak (the smallest) Chambao potatoes and potato mille feuille, and shrimp. While the flavors were there, the dishes came out lukewarm, which was disappointing especially given the price point and wait time for food. At this level, temperature and execution really matter. The food wasn't bad, but for what we paid, I honestly expected more. For comparison, I could have had a stronger overall meal in the Seaport area of Boston at a similar or even lower price point. That said, if you're going for the experience, ambiance, music, and top tier staff, Chambao hits the mark. Just know that the food may not fully match the hype or cost. Overall: Amazing vibe and service, solid flavors, but execution didn't quite justify the price.

The server was attentive to all our needs, helped make recommendations on the menu and helped us pick a delicious bottle of wine that would pair well with our dinner. They addressed us by our last names Mr and Mrs Valles which made me feel even more impressed. They would take away silverware after each meal and provide you with new silverware, they cleaned the table after each meal as well to make sure that even if you had crumbs or a messy eating style they would make sure you had a clean table for the next entree item. During the dinner there was a professional tango dancing couple who dance in front of your table and around the restaurant! It was pretty awesome! Honestly it makes the experience even more exciting. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful during dinner. The view of the ocean from the window seats was also nice to have while enjoying the fine dining Argentinian Cuisines. As for the food we had a Shrimp appetizer that the server recommended paired with Blue Crab Soup. My girlfriend and I also split a Rib Eye steak. Finally we concluded our meal with the Apple Crumble. Let me tell you everything tasted phenomenal! The Argentinian spices and flavor of the shrimp was insanely good, creamy, had some spice, and the flavor was top notch. They cooked our Rib Eye to perfection where the steak literally melted in your mouth! As for the blue crab soup it was absolutely phenomenal and the portion of crab they provide in the soup is perfect. The Apple Crumble would make angels cry in happiness! I am not a big Apple person but the Apple crumble was to die for! Overall, the ambiance can not be beat, the service is phenomenal, the food is delicious, and is a romantic setting that I would highly suggest for couples who are enjoying paradise!
