This buffet is not for everyone. It serve specific type of people. I hate to give it one star but…read morethe food is not good. Service is nice tho, waiter refill my drinks constantly. 1. everything is too salty and greasy 2. the only good thing is fried chicken but it is not marinated and everyone tackle that quick 3. vegetables are straight from the can 4. they serve mystery fish as Catfish. It is not Catfish, it is not some cheap Asian Swai fish either, maybe 2 months old Tilapia. If you have an old Mississippi taste bud, like extreme portion of salt and sugar and greasy food, then you will like it here. If you have a normal taste bud then no.

The old school ambiance is still fantastic which is about the best part of my most recent experience here. They open at 4pm and I arrived a bit before 4:30 and they were already selling out of things. It was crowded but not crazy crowded so I was surprised they had so quickly sold out of things. They also seemed to be very slow at getting tables cleaned up and ready for the next guests. Obviously the very above normal crowds visiting for one last hurrah are far above what the staff are used to dealing with. When I finally got seated I was able to order an iced tea and water which are served in tiny little glasses. I NEVER got my iced tea refilled... My salad came out but no silverware to eat it with which I did get silverware about 15 minutes later. The first thing I ordered was sold out so I went with my second choice which they still had. I started out with my tiny salad which was OK then I had onion rings which were very good. For my main course I had stuffed shrimp which were alright but I have had far better ones. So then the check arrived and for the cost and really bad service it simply wasn't worth it. I still left a 20% tip which absolutely was not earned but this was my goodbye to this joint and I won't ever be back as they are soon closing forever. I wish my last visit could have been better...

The Southern hospitality coupled with the depth of…read moreflavor from the food and drinks is every reason you need to head on over to The Manship WFK! Summer, the waitress/bartender was so attentive but more importantly very skilled at making an exceptional old fashion. Every sip was a reminder of southern comfort. Warm like grandma and stern like grandpa. (The block ice is optional so request as needed). The oysters were the star of the show. My first bite tasted like a pleasant memory of New Orleans. Consider this a buttery Bayou banger. Don't be shy, squeeze that lemon and dip that bread and leave nothing behind. The south west chicken salad is not to be slept on! I had a pretty big lunch so I wanted something light, but still packed a flavor punch. Boy was I knocked off my feet! The heirloom tomatoes, fresh avocado and homemade chipotle ranch took me from Louisiana to Mexico quicker than any plane could. I could not wait to share what was shared with me! I took my walk back down the street feeling gleeful and ready to brag. I received this recommendation from a local Mississippian and I couldn't be more happy with my decision. In fact, initially I felt bad about hitching a ride with my colleagues and later ditching them (they went to another spot up the street) until I was given every reason to be proud of stepping foot in The Manship.

Daddy Shark - Lobster tail and grilled shrimp

Daddy Shark

(6 reviews)

Daddy Shark is a Mexican restaurant branded as seafood and steak…read more Food - They do have a versatile menu. We really enjoyed the appetizer sampler and drinks. The steak and seafood entrees - not so much, but the birria tacos were great. Atmosphere - Casual, ocean or fish themed. It's bright blue. They play country music (the kind you hear at the beachy restaurants) like "5 O'Clock Somewhere." There are a couple of fish tanks in there. The kids thought that was cool. Just about every kid who walked in immediately began singing the "Daddy Shark doo-doo" song. So in that aspect it's kind of cute. Service - OK. No issues. Our waiter was kind. Overall: I made the mistake of thinking, "I don't want to order Mexican at a Seafood & Steakhouse when Clinton has 5011 other Mexican restaurants." I was wrong. You will actually want to do just that.

Daddy Shark - Dinner Visit Went to Daddy Shark this evening…read morewith my wife for dinner. We started with the fried mushroom appetizer, which came out looking a little overdone and dry -- almost like they might have been reheated. They were hot and juicy inside, but I found the mushrooms a bit tough and chewy. My wife liked hers, though, and said they were fine, so maybe I just got a few rough ones. The breading was very crunchy, almost too much so for my taste. For my main dish, I had the ribeye tacos, which came with Mexican rice and something that seemed halfway between refried beans and bean soup -- kind of an odd consistency, but surprisingly it was probably the best thing I had. The ribeye was finely chopped, which made the tacos easy to eat, but it also seemed like a way to hide bits of gristle that were mixed in. The tacos were topped with fresh avocado slices and plenty of cilantro, but overall they were a bit short on flavor. My wife had the Country Salmon, which was cooked well and topped with a creamy spinach and mushroom sauce. She said it was just okay -- not bad, but nothing special. Her side salad could have been better; the tomatoes were barely out of the green stage and would've been better fried than served fresh, since they weren't nearly ripe. The ambiance was definitely unique. There are a lot of Mexican-style dishes on the menu, but the restaurant has an undersea theme -- walls covered in bright cartoon murals of sharks, fish, and octopuses. Very kid-friendly and cheerful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our waiter was attentive and efficient, aside from letting my tea glass go empty once. Overall, it was a fair experience. Not bad, but I'll expect more on the next visit -- assuming we come back to try some of their other dishes that might be stronger.
