I like McDonald's. I have been a fan of Big Mac since they came out. The advertising was Mac Tonight. I went to Mac's on Thursday of this week. I realize that going in the middle of the afternoon was a chance I was wiling to take. The Big Mac was cold and the bread was smashed down on the cold burger. The French fries were mostly hot and had a large amount of salt on them. There could have been more special sauce on the burger. I went through the drive through . The young person who waited on us was in a bad mood. The meal was less than 15$. I am not sure if I will go back to this McDonalds. Good food, & excellent service!! I wish thought that they would bring back the lobster bites cause those were amazingly delicious. The new batter dipped chicken with the chicken D's sauce is definitely a nice pair & goes amazing together. I saw the post by Teresa B from a month ago. I have visited this restaurant on more than just a few occasions and have not had her experience - even once. There are some maintenance issues (soda dispenser) and I did not have occasion to use the restroom so can't comment on that. Otherwise the place was clean, there were no dead bugs on the window sills. and nothing was, "sticky." My guess is the lady had a bad first impression (the door) so was looking for things to be wrong. That said, their menu is quite diverse for a fast-food fish and chips place. You can get grilled as well as fried and there are several vegetable options - not just French fries. It IS a fast-food fish and chips place, not haute cuisine. 3 stars... And yes, I will be going back... The blackened whitefish with green beans and coleslaw (tasty) is a healthy alternative to the fried fish. I wish they had sweet potato fries and chowder(s) or a fish stew. read more

I can't believe they still have a franchise! The front door hasn't been cleaned in years, dead bugs caked on the sill of the windows, run down, outdated and filthy. Absolutely everything was sticky. Doors, tables just everything. Employees were hanging decor, clearly have time to clean. Poor management to say the least. No standards at all. I hate to see what the kitchen looks like. I had the pleaser to be next to them for 2 week working a fireworks stand. They were always so friendly. and kind. they had the best attitude that i have ever seen in a VERY long time. Went here with my Mom before her work shift. There was one woman behind the counter who was working both the drive-thru and the dine-in. She took our orders which were pretty basic meals, and then we waited. And waited. We waited for about 15 minutes and they finally brought out our food, but forgot the Lobster Bisque my Mom had ordered. After another 2 or 3 minutes she brings out the bisque and it is MOLTEN HOT. It was in a Styrofoam bowl and the inside of the bowl was brown and crusty around the edges where it had been obviously scorched in the microwave. My mother ate her entire meal, and afterwards the Bisque was STILL too hot to eat. After bringing this attention to the woman behind the counter, she shrugged and said "It's always made like that." At first, I was kinda stunned, then I said "It's always served with brown crust and burn marks around the rim?" and she said "Oh, he [the cook] must have cooked it too long." Still, she offered no apology. So I continued "Ma'am if someone orders this and spills it on themselves, they're going to have 3rd degree burns. It's literally dangerous to serve it that hot." and she said "Yeah thanks. I'll tell him [the cook]." I get it, it's fast food, but c'mon...take a little pride in your work and the quality of the food you're feeding your customers. The only reason I go back to this establishment is because my Mom loves their Whitefish and hushpuppies, which is why I gave this place any stars at all. read more

I was traveling home and realized I hadn't had Captain D's in a while so my family decided to get the Seafood Feast, 12 fish, shrimp, hush puppies, and 3 crabs for about $30. Good deal. Got our food home (15 miles away) only to find our 2 sides and 12 fish. Maybe I should've checked before leaving drive thru but I didn't think they'd leave out over half the food. That's a lot of wasted money. I guess Captain D's just isn't an option anymore. read more

Food tasted ok, but the amount of rice that I received was laughable. I would guess it was between 1/8 and 1/4 a cup. I haven't been to Captain do's in over a year. But I remember getting a decent portion of rice. Didn't get a breadstick either. Won't be going back. read more

Twice now in the last 60 days that i have went here and they closed 40 minutes before the stated time on the door, website, even on yelp as im writing this it says they close in 23 minutes but no they closed early!! Totally unacceptable when i get my familys order and head out only to show up and be told they closed early just because! read more

Terrible service at the Captain D's in Arnold MO! Waited in the drive thru 29 minutes before getting up to the window on 2/26/18. Once I finally got up to the window, waited another 10 mins for someone to open the window. I asked if they were working short, and the response I got was "no, we just got hit all at once". I did get an apology for my wait, but trust me, it was not genuine. If I would not have said anything about my wait time, he would not have said a word. I will not go back. read more

My family and I have eaten here fairly often over the last five years. After our lunch experience yesterday, I doubt we'll be back. The baked tilapia I ordered was cooked wrong and the employee's attitude about it was Very wrong. The fish was black and brown! I thought it was breaded because of the color and the fact that the seasoning (?) was so thick. When I brought this to their attention, even the manager said that's the way it's cooked. I eat there all the time and have never had fish look like that. The "manager" offered no apologies and said that he thought it was under cooked at first and then put it back on. He also said that he didn't want to serve raw food. I think he should strive to not serve over cooked fish, too. The non-apologetic attitude was just icing on the cake. read more

My friend & I have been enjoying meeting for lunch here for over a year twice a month. We both love seafood & a balanced meal, at an affordable price;you couldn't beat their $4.99 meals or senior Wed. Specials! But, lately, the quality of certain items on her plate or on mine, has gone downhill; & last Mon. June 12 th, BOTH of our matching white fish dinners each had issues! We both had broccoli, slaw & huge double white fish fillet. Her whitefish was brownish-grey; we compared same order, my fillet was perfectly cooked & very white..But, as I was stirring some pepper into my coleslaw, I noticed sticky-looking "threading" going-on between fork & slaw... I've had slaw there before & never had that happen. That's typically a sign that dressing on the slaw is "on the verge" ! [Yuck, regardless!] She couldn't eat her fish or slaw after that, didn't want anything else & she left still hungry. The girl at the counter was sweet, but inexperienced & the helpful young men that we had grown used to being so attentive, & professional, seemed to have moved-on, w/o similar replacements. But their counter-help had nothing to do with improperly cooked fish! Since last year my friend continuously had shoe-leather flounder, just because she LOVED flounder & kept hoping it would be "better" each time. I always knew NOT to order that! If your job is to cook fish, at a fish restaurant, maybe you better know how, before you make someone sick; including making side items FRESH daily, please no short-cuts! Come-ON managers, whats' happening to "quality-control"? Senior citizens & families deserve healthy, affordable, quality seafood meals here in Arnold ; Please Please insist on your employees knowing how to handle your Brand's products, take control, pride & MANAGE!!!! read more
