Great food. I like the nostalgic arcade. The service was good and I didn't have to wait long. It had good ambience. The root beer on tap was nice. Very clean. read more

The cashier that took my husband's order was very rude . My husband asked for our order to go and they guy said ok and then came back with a whole tray and my husband was like oh I asked for it to go and the guy was like no u didn't and my husband said actually yes I did and the guy said okkk and then my husband asked for ketchup packs and the guy said ok and didn't put any in the bag . I don't know why there was such attitude and rudeness to such a simple task? read more

I used to drive down from Saint Louis periodically to enjoy A&W. I really like the food and it's the only one even close to me. After today, I will never return. As my wife and I spent time looking at the menu, we let another lady go in front of us, who ordered a couple of burgers. As they started to fill her order she stepped over to the plasticware, condiments and soda and put some cutlery sets (a plastic wrapped napkin, fork and knife) into her bag. As she got her food the lady who made it stepped out from the back of the restaurant and started screaming at the woman. Apparently she had taken too much ten cent plastic after paying for her burgers (at eight bucks a piece). I assume the woman was a manager as everyone else behind the counter froze as she made a huge scene and ranted at the paying customer. As the customer, horribly embarrassed, tried to stuff a quarters worth of plastic back into the place she found them, the rotten manager continued screaming "I'M WATCHING YOU" as the customer, now sobbing, tried to return the things she was being accused of stealing. She took her food, tears streaming down her face, and ran out the door. We were right behind her. I will never, ever again spend a dime in this place that allows employees to belittle and scream at paying customers. That terrible woman has no business having any kind of job, much less one where she has any sort of power over people. And people who would give a person like this that sort of power dont deserve my money. And in my opinion, they don't deserve yours either. Also, as she was ranting, she wiped her gloved fingers all over her pants ans then went back to making food. So, if food safety is a concern of yours, another good reason to never, ever go here. read more

The food is delicious. Slightly expensive but almost everything is now. I believe there has been management change within the last year. The food isn't super "fast" but I realize they run on minimal staff. I also like how they hosted Cruisin Lindbergh Car Shows in the past. Great location for that. read more

Been here a few times. Good service and friendly staff. They serve fresh in house root beer. Menu as of November 2023 read more

A&W Restaurant - a menu for sweet treats - Fast Food Near Me - Arnold, Missouri

Me and my boyfriend came to this location at 6:30 pm. We ordered two burgers, two fries, and the mini corndog nuggets. Food was decent, the mini corndog nuggets were hot and yummy, the burgers according to my boyfriend were good. Soda machine was working so the A&W soda was refreshing! The young man working the register was polite and efficient, even asked if he could get anything else for us. Restaurant was clean too. Thank you! read more

Waited over 15 mins for a combo, place was empty except for door dash guy. The root beer was off, it was all carbonated water, i informed them it was out, they didn't fix it. Come to A&W and no root beer. I asked for a refund and was made to wait another 10 minutes for a refund, had to ask if needed to call the cops, turns out she didn't have any idea how to do the refund and had to call someone. Sign on the counter says under new management, bout to be out of business. They'll be closed in 6 months.. pitiful workers and management. read more

give my boy trevor a raise asap. excellent service and friendliness. i'll be back for sure

How long does it take to fix a Coney Dog? What would you say... 2 minutes tops? How about 12. Ridiculous you say. Well, it happened! On top of that I asked for them NOT to put the melty cheese on it. You guessed it... DRENCHED in that gooey melted (almost) cheese. The "chili" (yes I do question that) certainly did not taste like it did, oh so many years ago. The bun was soggy, and not just from the melted (almost) cheese - it was steamed to death! I would have taken it back - but considering how long it took to get that Coney dog... I might still be there getting this resolved. No need to say I will NOT be going back there. As for you... You do what you will, but the fast-food industry is saturated with alternatives. There is NO NEED to put up with this type of experience. Once is enough for me. read more

I recently visited the new A&W Restaurant in Arnold, MO. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger combo with cheese curds and a medium drink. Once I looked at the receipt, I noticed a problem. I was charged $4.69 for the burger, $3.75 for the combo meal and $1.79 for the cheese curds. I don't know why I was charged for both the "combo" and the "cheese curds". The way it worked out, I paid $3.75 for a medium drink. I asked the employee who took my order what came with the "combo meal". She told me I could choose a side and a drink. The restaurant was very busy and nobody else was available to discuss the issue. I guess I shouldn't have ordered the combo part of the meal and skipped the very expensive drink. I am very disappointed that the combo meal can't include cheese curds, but I should have to pay for both a "combo" and the "side" that comes with it. I have sent this complaint (with a copy of the receipt) to the store manager and the franchisee. I have not received any response. read more

A&W Restaurant - a receipt for all american food - Fast Food Near Me - Arnold, Missouri

As I predicted, it was great and very busy the first month it was open. Now that corporate management is gone and current management is terrible, AND the employees obviously don't care about their jobs, the only good thing on the menu is Root Beer. I do NOT recommend this location. read more

Service wasn't bad! Friendly drive-thru staff, with a pretty short wait time and decent food. However, the soda was absolutely horrible. I'm not trying to be that person but I don't think they have ever cleaned that soda machine. It tasted like mold, and better yet I know it did because I'm allergic! I ended up having a scratchy throat and swollen face and tongue for a couple hours- yikes! Don't think I would return to this location like ever read more

Wow! This place was super clean. Impressive. Burgers were hot and fries were crispy. No complaints. Still fun to play songs on the jukebox for free. Fast, friendly service. read more

3rd time visiting and probably will be our last. Food is mediocre. The staff... well... less than mediocre. Definitely a filthy establishment. Service is slow. read more

Took 10 minutes to be rang up for 2 kids meals and 1 value meal. The tables were all filthy and someone else who was eating there was going around wiping off the tables The place wasn't even busy. Also, the entire soda machine was out. Once we finally got out food about 15 minutes later, they didn't bring drinks or all of our food. And we got our food BEFORE the others who'd ordered before we ever even walked in. I don't know if it was just an off day or if the employees were drinking a different kind of root beer, but I might wait a while to go back:/ read more

Terrible management. Food is blah, place not very clean. Also, don't let your child work there or they may not get their final paycheck. Lots of shady stuff there. read more

The blended Root beer float is amazing. It's nice to see a new location as A&W is a bit nostalgic for me.

While the business is new, A&W is not. The food was decent but not anything to make a special trip for. Because they just recently opened, there is plenty of staff to take care of customers and the place is clean. For some of us, it's just a nostalgic place to go, even if it isn't a drive-in any longer. read more

They appeared surprised I was coming in trying to order food and had an attitude taking my order when I did. Of course none of it was right at all. It didn't appear there was a single person working in the store that was older than a junior in high school. read more

Needs to improve on timing, stop focusing mainly on the drive thru and worry about your hardly even busy dining room. Literally took 30 minutes to get my food and have nothing bad to say about the food it was delicious but management could be a lot better. I ate my food and was damn near done with my food by time my friend who ordered right after me got his food. Also he received a free ice cream card and I didn't when we both had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for food. I would understand long wait times if it's seriously packed but the cars in the drive thru were just flying thru and everyones unhappy inside the building. Your supposed to be a leader so LEAD read more

This is the lowest of Arnold fast food. They will mess your food up, even on the most simplistic order. I ordered an papa burger with bacon, and a root beer float. After 5 minutes I got the cold fry's and burger. My root beer float came with a lid that was not attached to the cup. My vehicle will smell like soured rout beer float I guess until I get rid of it now. I wouldn't send my worse enemy to get food from here. read more

I have been here twice. Once was at dinner time and once during lunch. Both times I had a great experience! Food was delicious and hot and the service was also fast and friendly. Too bad about the other reviews, try it out for yourself! read more

The food is what you'd expect from a fast food restaurant, nothing special but not bad either. Service is a bit slower because the burgers are cooked to order instead of precooked and stored in a heated container. Service times have massively improved from the 20+ minutes when they first opened. My only complaint is the drive thru lane is a bit small for the size of the lot read more

manager "kim" has horrible customer service and i'm pretty sure she is on substances very unpleased

i went through the drive-thru & ordered a strawberry watermelon freeze... i then waited 30+ minutes to get from ordering to the window!! I GET TO THE WINDOW AND THEY SAID 'we dont have that' and slammed the window shut and had nothing else to say! read more

Paid for the wrong order, trying to get it fixed and it became over-complicated. By the time things were figured out my floats where melted. Everything was subpar, all food items were bland and tasteless. read more

So disappointing. Food was ok. Root beer was great! But the place was a mess. Spill on floor, dirty tables, and a lot of employees doing nothing. Couldn't believe out of all the kids working and who appeared to be a manager or owner just talking to each other when there were so many tables not cleaned, trash on floor. Couldn't believe it. If it wasn't the owner there he/she needs to get involved. I've told tons of people why I wouldn't go back anytime soon. Might give them another chance unless they close, which would be sad but not surprising based on what I saw. read more

Dirty restaurant. Expensive food, small portions, not very good. The root beer is tasty which is the reason for the two stars.

This place is clearly lacking management. The dinning area is filthy and unkempt. The kitchen area is worse from plain view. the food quality was on the lower side of okay. Will not return to this location. read more

Giving 4 out 5 stars because I appreciate the old school A&W Americana. I've been a few times. Coney was good, kind of small, but still good. Chili cheese fries and curds were good. The Burger was very average. Just a typical fast food burger. Ice cream and root beer are good, but it seems like the fresh root beer tap has always run dry when I come in. Staff is friendly. read more
