Oyster on the half shell

A top spot for fresh and delicious seafood, all of the items on the menu are Great from starters to entrees! I never have room for dessert but leave with a belly full and a happy heart. Your choice of plenty of seating options and open late. Servers are steady moving and accommodating. Seafood ambience with their Decor.

It is so easy to order. Either online or at the restaurant. This location is very nice and clean. Food is cooked to perfection.

Baked oysters. Yum!

Four stars only because it could have a little cleaner. But 5 stars for the food. We had whole broiled flounder and it was delicious!! Perfectly cooked, great seasoning and very fresh! The baked oysters are also great. I could have eaten a dozen by myself! We had both garlic butter and parmigiana Beer was good and cold and they have the big bottles of mexican coke. Great place to stop on the way to Hobby airport.

Food quality has gone downhill over the past few years and the quality of the patrons have also gone downhill. Years ago, I would find it a pleasant place to eat at at the patio area and enjoy the nice beauty and quietness of the scenery. However due to changes in the surrounding areas, I cannot find any enjoyment in eating at the place we will just say, that the trash from the surrounding areas use that place as a meeting area to get drunk and out of control. Coupled with the foot traffic and the close proximity and the several incidents that some of my friends have experience there in the past, I find it prudent to order to go and eat in the safety and serenity of my home. I always order the seafood gumbo, which that night it appeared that they had skimped on the ingredients or the person that scooped the gumbo into the container did not attempt to make sure there were any shrimp, heck even the vegetables made it to the container. It was almost all broth and very little rice. Also the flavors were not there. In the past, the gumbo was so good, it did not need any additional condiments. However that night, it needed a lot of Tabasco sauce to make it edible. The Mate's Plate was absolutely horrible. The cornmeal breading was so thick (and bland) that I could not taste the shrimp (heck at that point, how did I know I was served gulf shrimp since I could not taste it). The breading in the fried oysters was also so thick that I could not taste the oysters, but rather the breading. French fries were terrible and I did not even eat more than 3. To make the fried food more palatable, I make my own homemade cocktail sauce with A LOT OF HORSERADISH, in order to give flavor to the food and hopefully breakthrough the overpowering crunch of the cornmeal breading. The Stuffed Redfish was so salty that it was not even edible. And the stuffing was also even salty. Was it worth the price I paid? Hell fucking no! Waste of money!

Fish filets are really disappointing. More like a fish nugget. Order for pappas is you want a real size Fried Catfish Fillet

Gumbo has a good flavor but no oysters. Just small chunks of seafood.fish filets are more like nuggets. Go to Pappas bbq for much better size for the price. This is embarrassing for captains.

Looking at the kitchen from my seat on the boat!

I love this restaurant for an authentic southern experience and even better food. We have come here twice on business and left completely satisfied both times. We have ordered almost everything on the appetizer menu and we're surprised with the quality, flavor, and unique seasoning. I heard they have the best gumbo in town and I would have to agree, it was delicious! The boudin balls, spicy shrimp, and key lime pie were amazing. What I especially love it that this place is shaped like a boat so if you sit at the bar it is at an angle like on a boat. So cool! Service is fast, ambiance is casual, everyone is friendly and I will definitely be back!

They were very friendly and greeted everyone with warm welcome. Although the restaurant is small, it can fit a lot of people without feeling crowded. It can accommodate small and big family group and the restaurant is perfect for Mexican food and seafood. They have many food options from seafood:oysters, shrimp, fish, octopus, crawfish and crab. They have the options to boils, fried or grilled. They also have some Asian fusion with fried rice and lo mien. Some of my favorite dishes was the Tilapia chips, broccoli and shrimp fried rice, tostadas and the chips with guac and pico. The tilapia chips was so fresh, silky and crispy. The chips and quac were home made and had the perfect crunch. Definitely go check out their amazing food if you are in the area!!!!

I got to meet the owner Rick. he said that the restaurant was coming up on 12 years of being open. He was super nice and recommended some dishes to try. I got the octopus tostada, fried fish and shrimp with french fries, grilled chicken wings, guacamole, and salsa with tostada chips, tilapia chips, a shrimp and broccoli with fried rice, special and a snow crab cluster boil. I was so full by the end of my meal and had leftovers for days. I really enjoyed the octopus tostada the flavor was delicious and refreshing. The tilapia chips were crispy and paired with a nice light tartar sauce that helped to counter the crunchiness of the fried fish. The guacamole and salsa were both super fresh and perfectly seasoned. The restaurant itself is pretty large with long tables, booths and a bar great for family dinners or big parties. The servers were super sweet and came to check on me on multiple occasions. The pricing is super fair for seafood in this economy. Overall I had a great time getting to know the owner and to try all the different variety menu items. If you are ever in the area make sure to stop by and grab a tostada!

I went to get my…read moredrivers license replaced, and surprisingly, it was quick and painless, so with some extra time to spare, I figured I'd get crawfish before I went back to work. Pulled up my handy dandy Yelp open and what did you know 4.5 stars and enroute to my house (I work from home). The Plaza was a bit sketchy, not a lot of cars in the entire Plaza. But Yelp said it was good so I went forward trusting the process OMG!!!! First...$7.99/lb WINNING! I ordered egg rolls... DELICIOUS AND FRIED TO PERFECTION. But let's get to the real highlight of this trip. I ordered 2lbs, house special seasoning, spicy with corn, sausage, and potatoes. I could have done without the sausage. It's ok. The corn and potato were cooked perfectly. But the crawfish....OOOOOOHHHH the crawfish. Flavored to the gawds....and HUGE! Like all.of.them. not just one or 2...maybe 1 or 2 were small lol WINNING!!!! Then as if it could be any better....a nice gentleman paid for my meal and just asked that I tip the waiter. Gladly! JACKPOT!!!! GOD IS SO GOOD! Can't wait to pay that blessing forward!! Baby when I tell you I couldn't get home fast enough to post this review. Please visit if you can...you won't be disappointed. I asked for white rice instead of fried rice. The chicken was moist and had great flavor and perfect crisp on the outside. Thit Bo Luc Lac (shaken beef) with fried rice. 5/5 I didn't try the fried rice myself but the beef was on point . It came with salt, pepper and a squeeze of lime for dipping too (chefs kiss!). A few pounds of crawfish 3/5 I'm not a huge fan of crawfish off season but it wasn't bad . (Pro tip: We asked for extra sauce and limes to dip into) Service was pretty slow while the place was empty tho. There's plenty of seatings and parking was easy .

Real comfort food, very tasty. The staff were very nice and very courteous. Super accommodating. I called the place first to confirm they were still open, and even tho they were close to closing, they still waited for us. They even asked for our order ahead of time so it will be fresh and ready when we arrive. That was really appreciated. The restaurant is on the first floor inside a corporate building. Depending on the time, parking can get busy, but when we got there, there were still plenty of open spots so it was easy for us.
