I was living in Pennsylvania a few years back and someone introduced me to the Famous sandwich here called "The Bobbie". It"s a cold sub with slow-roasted hand-pulled turkey topped with cranberry sauce, handmade stuffing, and mayo. A Thanksgiving feast in every bite! The service is great here you order your sub and they prepared pretty quickly. I've always had a great experience in this particular location. read more

Ordered two grilled Italian sandwiches today and had no cheese & only one slice of meat.

While I was out, I thought I'd give this Capriotti's a try. I tried the one in Newark and it was pretty good. BIG MISTAKE! Firstly, I wasn't even acknowledged when I came into the store. Huge red flag! Waited 10 mins or so, still no acknowledgment, by this time there were more employees behind the counter...started with two making sandwiches, and one on the phone. Another woman came from the back, so at this time there are are FOUR People and no one stopped to say, "Hi, how can I help you or are you being helped?" I noticed their 'pick-up/to-go orders' were off to the side, near the front door (No proper signage -nothing stated 'Pick-ups'). The no acknowledgment should have been the clue this place was trash, but I already ordered and paid online so.... The sandwich-the Wagyu cheesesteak was tasteless. Nothing about the sandwich would make me want to go back to this establishment. IF I ever get another sandwich from Capriotti's it would NEVER come from this location. read more

I ordered a sandwich and requested delivery. They offer delivery through third party (Door Dash). I've done this several times in the past with no problem at this store. I immediately received notice the sandwich will be available for pickup at store. I immediately called and cancelled the order. I knew it had not been prepared since I called immediately. This store processed my payment anyway. I am now disputing the charge for never receiving the sandwich and disregarding my cancellation. read more

With all of the amazing sandwich places around I don't know why anyone would go here. I don't like their roles and wasn't impressed with the ingredients they put on the rolls. read more

My wife picked up a Bobbie for dinner and there was barely anything on it. Might as well asked for just the roll. Another night she gave it another chance and picked up a cheesesteak and a Capistrami. The same as before. Barely anything on either sandwich. Definitely did not match previous experiences at other Capriotti's locations. Just sad that this location cannot measure up to the standard. We're surprised how they can stay in business. We will not be returning. read more

counter lady was rude, they missed the fries in my order and when I called to ask to have that charge taken off my bill, she said fine and hung up on me. one and done for this family. read more

Overall a decent place. Good bread and subs. Sometimes they get the order a bit wrong, forgetting peppers or some such. Usually order online so it's printed out. And ordering condiments on the side also helps. read more

Worst! A small is child's size for $11, chicken was way over cooked. Workers were obnoxious as always. Never again.

I've been a customer at Capriotti's for a number of years and I love the Newark location. This is just pitiful. Ordered online. 15 minutes later not ready. No customers in the store but eight employees. And this is the product they produced. Disgusting read more

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop - This is supposed to be a capastrami. - Sandwiches Near Me - West Grove, Pennsylvania

My family just ordered 3 sandwiches from Capriottis in Jennersville. The meat was burnt and barley none on it, and nothing that was asked to be added on was even there. The rolls were hotdog rolls ..it is such a poor excuse for Friday night sandwiches after a long week of my husband working, we were looking forward to some good food. When I called a very rude girl would not give her name and said "I'm irrelevant to this conversation". In this time where people depend on a good sandwich or food, kindness, and are treated in such a way is totally unacceptable. 2 cheesesteaks burnt hardly any meat no extras that were paid for, a Bobby loaded with cranberry sauce and no turkey! Very sad that this young girl got her attitude and rudeness from somewhere. My husband did get her name which at this point is not relevant. Corporate was called when my husband went back into store unwrapped the pathetic sandwiches and laid them on the counter after they refused to give him his money back. We have been to this establishment many many times before, but after this experience I would not give them a dime and will continue to not be a fan. They have people that are disrespectful and rude working at this establishment and could give a crap less. Shame on Cappriottis in Jennersville, Totally despicable. Supporting a business that is not supporting us. Food for thought. This will be shared on social media. read more

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop - Crap sandwiches and crap service. So sad - Sandwiches Near Me - West Grove, Pennsylvania

Workers are very nice and order is always ready . Can't complain! As soon as we walk in we are greeted . Order is never wrong .

Ordered a large Capastrami. It only had the meat. No cheese, no cole slaw, no dressing and barely any meat at that. WHAT! 22 bucks for that. My daughters family ordered one the next day and the same thing! Are you kidding me. The bread was delicious. read more

I'm a DoorDash driver and went into the store at 5:56 pm on 03/26/2025. I talked to a guy behind the counter and told him I was there to Make a Pickup for a customer, He told me that they were making that order so I was standing at the counter watching he guy make the cheesesteak and the guy making the roast beef hoagie when I noticed that they didn't even drop the fries yet, (this happen to me before at this location) I ask the guy making the hoagie if he was going to drop the fries since the cheesesteak and roast beef hoagie were almost done and he told me that he was after he gets done the hoagie. I couldn't believe I was going to have to wait again for the fries to get done adding more minutes to the pickup. As a DoorDash driver we get paid for making a pickup and quick delivery. Plus when the fries were done cooking they put them in a separate bag and put the cheesesteak and hoagie in the same bag. I even know you don't put hot and cold in the same bag. This is the 2nd time in less then a week I was very disappointed with Capriotti's. It seems like the young employee's don't want to be there and they are miserable they are going to make the customer miserable. read more

AWFUL. Just horrible. Crazy high price for a small chicken cheese steak. Dry chicken barely any provolone. Fried onions in abundance that were simply warmed up raw onions. Also they never get the order right-any additional things added to the cheese steak is never included. If you like a small portion of dry chicken, imaginary cheese, and vast amounts of warmed raw onion then this is the place for you-all of which you can have for over 10 dollars . read more

Jennersville Store. Is AWFUL. Order 2 cheeses steaks with Fried Onion. Got burn steak no cheese. This is 3rd. 2 previous times subs were wrong . We hadn't been for a long time but tried again. This place needs new management. I'll go else where. read more

Terrible! The cost goes up and the quantity and quality of ingredients goes down! Capriotti's used to be the leader. Now they're just a low wanna be! The subs at Wawa are better for less money! read more

My family & I were craving capriottis but we were sorely disappointed. We ordered two sandwiches tonight a medium bbq chicken cheesesteak & a large slaw b joe. Neither sandwich had any cheese and the large sandwich had less meat than the medium steak(mostly coleslaw). I understand prices are up on everything but after spending almost $40 on dinner I did not expect to receive a coleslaw sandwich & a few pieces of shredded chicken on a roll. read more

If it weren't for the meat and roll combination we wouldn't bother anymore. 0 for 6 in getting our last 6 orders correct. The last order was online so it was WRITTEN down and easy to follow? Nope, it was still incorrect. Overall disappointing. You'd think the owners/managers would pay more attention to detail. read more

Firstly, 4 of the 5 employees had their masks below their noses. Also, the guy who took our order kept touching his face. Find another Capriotti's - do not come here! read more

I have been going to Capriotti's for more than 30 years. Was a loyal customer at the original shop on Union St. in Wilmington. My visit today was a huge disappointment!!!! First, my go to sub is ham and Swiss...no longer on the menu. Second, it used to be that a small was a decent sized meal and a medium was sufficient for those of us with larger appetites. My wife always gets a small turkey. Today, when I picked it up, I actually had to apologize to her. It was so small and I had to search for the turkey. I just ate my medium capastrami, with extra meat, and I am still hungry. I guess I will have to find another sub shop. Ps. I have location services turned off, I am not located in NY. I am located in Chester county, PA. read more

Order 2 sandwiches and were VERY disappointed. 1) Ordered online and was given a time when to pickup. The order had not been started when I arrived. Strike 1. 2) Because one of the sandwiches was ordered with the removal of one item from the 'Bobbie', I watched the workers make all the sandwiches. And sure enough, they included that item on mine. Strike 2. I told them that the order had been requested with no cranberry sauce. So the sandwich was remade. When I got home and opened the Bobbie this is what I found. 3/4 of roll filled with turkey and nothing else. Strike 3. Review: I will never order from the again. read more

I asked a relative to pickup a large Bobbi this afternoon on her way home to central pa since I haven't had one in years. When did The Bobbi become a Vegetarian sandwich ? No meat in some spots some shredded dry as chipped dried beef in others huge amounts of filling with pockets of cranberry like a jelly donut. The store does not answer the phone, must be all the complaints- maybe $2 of ingredients for 18 bucks. Contacting Corporate office with pics and the rest of the sandwich - I'll wrap box and ship it or better yet deliver it in person. Capriotti's was a solid Delaware establishment with quality food- apparently they sold out when they began franchising without any quality control- I've been burned and will never give another Capriotti's a dime read more

I used to love capriottis but they've gone downhill. Lots of variation when you order a sub and many times they seem really light on meat. They charge a lot and under deliver. read more

Cheesesteak cured my depression. My mouse died and my kitten gave me ringworm so I've been pretty sad. I got a cheesesteak today in an attempt to cheer myself up. It worked. read more

This is the closest Capriotti's to us, and I have to say I have had any of the negative experiences other reviews seem to mention. Our usual sandwiches include the Bobby (thanksgiving on a roll!) and the Italian, with the occasional wildcard order for good measure. Ingredients are always fresh, directions for extras followed, and the shop is clean and gets customers in and out in a reasonable timeframe. I love Capriotti's and miss them dearly now living in NYC- this one, as far as I'm concerned, is just as good as any! So next time you're craving a sub in the area, stop by! read more

I love capriottis, however, I have been so disappointed with the lack of management at the west grove and kennett locations. They have kids running the place, who get to decide to close an hour early on a regular basis...for whatever lame excuse they can think of that day. Their hours are already less than accommodating...almost as bad as a bank or post office. I think I'll support the mom and pops from now on...just not worth it, unless they can figure out how to stay open for their scheduled hours and get some adult supervision on the clock read more

I went capriottis for dinner and I really regret it it's a bunch of young high school kids working behind the counter it was so dirty and disgusting. read more

The last two sandwiches have not been fit to eat!!! A month ago, I got an Italian sub, we picked it up 15 minutes after ordering and the roll was totally soggy and there were 17 , yes I said 17 pickles slices on one HALF. Tonight, it was a roast beef sub and the beef was raw and the roll red from the blood. Do not throw your money away. Will return to Roco and Anna's For our sandwiches. read more

I paid for a $10+ cheesesteak after tax (ridiculous) and when I got home and opened it up I noticed there was barely any meat on the whole one side of the hoagie roll. I was extremely disappointed and wasn't about to drive back and argue with the lack luster teenagers they had staffing the entire operation. Note to management: Hire some competent employees who actually care. Your prices are nothing short of insulting when you deliver the type of quality that your peddling. Safe to say they've lost my business. read more

It has been a few years since we visited this location so thought we would give it another chance. Haven't had very good luck in the past. Mostly the workers not being friendly. I realize COVID and all of that but they completely messed up our order. I can give people the benefit of the doubt but also should t I get what I paid for? I sent my daughter to pick up 3 sandwiches, a salad and 2 bottles of soda. They gave my daughter one sandwich and the salad. She got to the car and realized she didn't have everything and went back in. She had to wait 15 more minutes for the other two sandwiches which had not been made yet. They never gave her the sodas and she didn't realize we had ordered them. Got home and they had made a regular cheesesteak instead of chicken. My husband ordered spicy Italian and we still can't figure out what his was supposed to be. They got the third sandwich right. That was their last chance. As A nurse, I can't use Covid as an excuse to not do my job very well. If don't do my job people might die. Is it too much to ask that a restaurant get my order right? read more

I'm an Uber Eats driver and had a pickup. The people in the store were very nice and had my order ready when I arrived. I always on a time crunch to get the orders delivered. I'm not sure where to begin but to say that the 2 sandwiches I brought home tonight were completely disgusting!!!!! I'm so disappointed! The rolls were chewed and gummy! The Bobbie only had stuffing and cranberry in the middle of the roll and hardly any meat at all . What happened to this establishment? The cheesestake was another disappointment! Thank God I bought chips! I will NEVER GO BACK TO JENNERSVILLE read more

Just ordered a $8.00 Cran Slam Club...90% bread...that's my 1st & last time eating there.

went to pick up our order and they were out of impossible cheesesteak and never told us until we went to pick it up. They did not know how to refund our money. The subs we did get were terrible! Hardly only meat on a lg cheesesteak. The slaw be joe had terrible deli roast beef on it. Quality has definitely gone down hill!! read more

Tryed to call the place for over 20 minutes before it actually closes and they turned there phone line off so they wouldn't get any orders. So I live only five minutes from the place and got there and the guy locks the door on me as I walk up with a minute to spare. Now they have about 7 people in there working and alls I wanted was a cheesesteak and they turned me down saying that it was to late. Terrible service especially for a local that could be a regular but never again! read more

Cheesesteaks and Italians are some of the best in the city. The meat quality, bread and taste are second to none.

I've gotten the impossible cheesesteak at 3 different locations and loved it everywhere but here. They aren't doing something right here. It's a softer texture than other locations (no sear) and less seasoning. read more

Got 3 sandwiches- 2 bobbies and a capastrami. The capastrami was mostly Cole slaw with the meat one layer "thin" on the bottom and only in the middle with the ends of the sub just bread. The bobbies were special ordered to have no cranberry sauce. They put the sauce on anyway luckily it was caught during the production of the sub. Then when we opened it up it was just turkey and again barely any meat on it and NO Mayo or stuffing. Not worth the over priced ticket value. Just go to Wawa. read more
