I came here based on a recommendation by my brother. I had no problems when I came into the shop, it was my first time going in to get something altered -- I needed to have a gown made shorter and that was it. It was finished in the next day, (even though I didn't realize it!) so the service is very fast. I found nothing wrong with the hem. But I want to say, the length wasn't very big to take up, somewhere around 4 inches, and the alteration came out to be $46 -- I'm just surprised because the dress itself costed way less than that because I got it on clearance sale. So the alteration was even more expensive than the dress. Go figure. I'm wondering if its because of the material of the dress was so light and felt sheer? An alteration on a dress pants for men only cost $20 to alter the length. I guess I would come back, but only if I really needed to and can't sew/fix it myself. read more

Alright well I came here based on reviews on this place and based on the lack of reviews for other potential tailors. I'm glad I did. I brought it my bridesmaids dress. I accidentally bought it a couple sizes too small, so they did everything they could to let the dress out for me. When I brought it home, it zipped but it was so tight! So I brought it back in and I needed it back next day. He took it out as far as he possibly could go and didn't charge me anything. Well, he shouldn't have charged me, but still i was glad that he didn't. And it was ready for me by the time I got off work the next day. Overall really great experience. I will be back if I need anything else tailored. *december edit* a couple of weeks after the wedding, I discovered that I was ( still am) pregnant! I left this tailor recently after being a customer for over 10yrs. Wife of owner NOT friendly!! Very pushy, she was Rude to me when I politely declined to purchase something she thought I should buy. I'm a happy person and I smile and share my friendliness, You will not get it here! She does'nt care about you as a customer. So, After this treatment im sorry to say.......IM DONE WITH THEM! This was a very difficult decision, I Always give people the benefit of the doubt, but when my Husband went there without me, It was the same story!! Wonderful! Did an amazing job altering my wedding dress. I was obviously very apprehensive at first, but I'd heard great reviews and wanted to just go and talk with him before he ever stuck so much as a pin in it. He made suggestions that I hadn't even considered, and offered different ways of hemming/altering to save me money. It was at least 1/2 the price of anywhere else I had looked into. Quality service, and it was done in 10 days, no extra charge. Nordstoms and the bridal salon where I had purchased had estimated over 3 weeks! I went with Capri based on the Yelp reviews and overall I'm pleased with the results. I recently brought a DB bridesmaid dress to Capri to be altered. It was a big job; basically the only place the dress fit was in the hips. I also asked them to re-do the hem; not because I needed it shorter, but because the hem DB did was craptacular! It was pulled all sideways, hard to describe but the workmanship was definitely shoddy. Capri fixed the hem and made it perfect, and they altered the dress so it fits like a glove now. My only complaint is the way they did the alteration... instead of taking in a little from both sides, they took a lot from one side. So now the zipper on the back is off-center. Not a huge deal, the dress still looks great from the front, but zipping it up by myself is awkward. I ended up paying $44 for my alterations which I thought was EXTREMELY reasonable... when I took another DB bridesmaid dress to their alterations department and had similar work done, it cost me DOUBLE. Overall, I'm happy with the results and I'm thinking about taking some of my husband's pants here to be hemmed. read more

I've been coming here for years, they always do an impeccable job and always fast. I got a bleach stain on my fav jeans and they were able to stitch over it almost seamlessly. I take all my husband's and my jeans for length alteration, zipper fixes. They also do amazing work on dress alterations. I don't think there's an alteration they can't do. read more

I last minute decided I wanted to get my bridesmaids dress altered. I just wasn't happy with the way it was fitting. I took it in and he had it ready for me in less than a week. He suggested a couple of alternative solutions that made the fit even better than I expected. The dress doesn't look altered at all. Just looks like it was made to fit me perfectly! As matron of honor in an upcoming wedding, I went into Capri to have my dress hemmed. They had done some work on the bride's wedding gown and she was very happy with the results. Unfortunately, they refused to work with me because I was accompanied by my service dog. I was told I could come back another day, but without the dog. I tried to explain the laws protecting me and my service dog, but the owner said he couldn't take a chance on losing customers because of my dog being in his store. I asked "what about me"?, I am a customer! He said I was welcome to come back...without the dog. There were no behavioral issues or reasons for us to leave, he just didn't want the dog in his store, no matter the law or my disability. Not only was I disappointed, but very hurt. read more

I highly recommend Capri Tailoring to anyone. They have saved me in many situations. The most recent one was my sisters wedding. She had bought her bridal gown and my bridesmaids dress from Isis Bridal in the Temecula mall and what a mistake that was. The owner is a rude human being and doesn't know what customer service is. On one side of my dress nearly half the beads were missing which the owner wasn't willing to help get me new beads to fix it and the alteration lady chopped my sisters dress when it was hemmed. Needless to say I was panicking. I called Capri Tailoring and brought the dress in. They were wonderful and the customer service was excellent..... They were able to fix my beads which looked even better than the half that still had beads and made my sisters dress look beautiful. For my birthday I was super stressed finding an outfit to go out, when I finally did the skirt needed to be altered it was too long too loose etc. and my boyfriend who comes here all the time recommended this tailor. I needed the skirt same day! When I went in everyone was super nice and they saved the day, they were able to alter the skirt same day for an additional charge, (totally reasonable ) and it came out perfect!
