Same place I went to back in 1979 living a half a block away. The brother that still owns Capri pizza is one humbled person. He makes one of the best thin crust I've ever tasted. His ingredients are true to the Italian cuisine. I've always passed this place driving by. Reluctant to try it because there's only a couple spots for parking you would need to park somewhere and walk or ask for delivery. But you grew up in Jersey or NYC you know, pizza is great when it just came out of the over. I was skeptical because I am picky with pizza. The pizza was very yummy, the Italian salad was fantastic, garlic bread was better than the fancy Italian places in palm beach county, and the lasagna I ordered was fantastico and I finished all of it in one sitting. I don't remember the last time I had great lasagna. This place has been around for four decades. What does this tell you? I've going here for over 20 years. Drove from Fort Lauderdale for a couple slices. Then ended up ordering a large box to-go.

Of all the times I take photos, this time I didn't, and I wish I did. Took soo long to find a pizzeria that makes delicious, flavorful, meatballs and pizza, almost like home up in NJ. Today I passed by this piczeria at lunch time and ordered 2 slices of pizza and 10 wings. but I decided on 5 spicy and 5 non-spicy. That bothered the Owner and in a bad way so despotic and rude. He responded very rudely that I should have told him before. This ruined my appetite the 2 slices of pizza were not fresh just reheated and pieces of ham on top. I didn't like the wings, I only tried one. I didn't eat and asked for the bill. The very used guy also charged me 2 dollars more for a dressing that I didn't even ask for. I ask all Hispanic people to never eat in this place, it is totally unpleasant the way they treat you for not speaking English. I tried Capri for lunch with a friend. Its a small place, in a small strip, and has obviously been there a while. We ordered a large (18 inch) pepperoni. I would say this was about average NYC style pizza. The crust was slightly uneven which meant that the pie cooked a little unevenly as well. I felt the crust could have used a little more flavor. Cheese was so-so, sauce and pepperoni were both good. Service was friendly, though we had to ask for plates. Counter seating. They didn't appear to have the A/C on, just the front door open. It got pretty hot where we were sitting and I was actually sweating as I was trying to eat. This is definitely a delivery/take out place. I don't really agree with the previous reviews that imply this is the best pizza in the area, but its not a bad option either. read more

Capri Pizza is the BEST pizza ever!!! You can get it by the slice or a whole pie. I recommend just plain cheese (generally thin crust, but the Sicilian is delicious as well). Don't plan on eating there; there is a few spots at a counter, but it's best to just get and go. This pizza will cure any hangover, and is just as good cold as it is hot. I moved away from Florida years ago, but anytime I'm in the neighborhood, I stop in for a pie!! Note: The owners are awesome; they are NOT Italian (as David says), but Armenian. This place is in a hole in a wall on a shady street but they make quality thin pizza with a slightly sweet crust. 1/4 pizza is $2.00. They have a long menu with calzones and grinders and anything in that genera. It's an Italian guy and his brother that started the business back in '72. My friend says that she hates Capri Pizza because they used to cook the Lake Worth School pizzas. She didn't have a good middle school experience. read more

It isn't in the best neighborhood and I wouldn't recommend just driving there for pizza..only if you are in the area or want a pizza to take to the beach. By the other reviews, you can obviously see that these guys make a good pie. But you can't really taste how good it is until you see for yourself. In my 25-year quest to find the best pizza in South Florida, I've eaten some decent pies, but out of this little hole in the wall comes the best of the best. From St. Lucie to South Broward you'll be hard pressed to find a better pie. Do yourself a favor and eat a couple of slices there, before it goes into a to-go box. Have been ordering from them for over a year now and I hate to be that person who calls them out but here it goes: first and foremost they WERE really amazing pizza. Nice service, fast and all and super delicious pizza. Over the past several months not only has they're tastefulness disappeared but their customer service has disappeared entirely. They answer the phone like your annoying them every time and they're pushy and cold. Ordered my pie, they said they'd take 45 minutes, I called at 52 minutes just to get an update and they were super rude and disrespectful like how dare you call us to check in your order! The man with the accent literally was screaming in the background to the male I was talking to on the phone saying "I told her 45 minutes!" All I wanted was a status on my order and not only did they NOT apologize they rudely told me they're too busy and didn't address the tardiness at all. After being screamed a lot from the accented male in the background and getting extremely rude service I told them to cancel the order and the man on the phone said fine and was going to just hang up. I stopped him to ask about the refund process and all he said was we didn't charge you and I said ok and he hung up on me. I've never wanted to break my phone and scream at people so bad as I did this time. They're grown to be scummy over there and so has their bland pizza. Will never order from them again and will tell people not to also. I hope they either change back to the lovely place they were or get shut down... it's up to them to decide what'll happen to the business. read more
