As expected there was no seating available due to Covid-19. The food quality from the hot table was moderate (hence the 3*'s). Had a salami calzone for lunch. We also bought a blueberry/strawberry scone/biscuit. I deducted a star cause the biscuit was virtually tasteless. Almost zero taste! Found that strange considering the cost was $3.50! I'd do over but just the gelato this time.

We got almond cookies, hazelnut cookies with chocolate, pecan butter tart, strawberry cheesecake, apple strudel. My son thought the strudel was sweet. He likes uncle tetsu cheesecakes which aren't too sweet. The almond cookies had too much vanilla in them. There was an aftertaste that wasn't the best The hazelnut had the same issue. The butter tarts were good. Sweet not overly runny. You could bite them and they didn't drip out but not a firm Filling either. My friend bought the chocolate pecan? Butter tart and it was quite good. The I thought the chocolate added to it. Was worried it would make it too sweet. The Apple strudel was pretty good. I always like pastry no filo please!!!! Anyways kinda reminded me of what you'd buy in a store. I think the filling is the kind that comes from a bucket. So I don't think I'd get again unless I was in a strudel mood. I do have a weakness for strudel. Saturday mornings at st Lawrence market has a better one if she is still there. I definitely need to go back to Try the food!!'

California Sandwiches, San Remo Bakery, Tre Mari Bakery, Via Cibo, Maranello Cafe, Papamio's, Cosimo's, Calabria Bakery, Belaggio's, Commisso Brothers, Vi Pei Bistro and Remezzo's. They make decent sandwiches. Out of all of them, I find Nino D'Aversa Bakery makes one of the best Italian Veal Sandwiches in the GTA. It was my first time visiting this iconic Italian bakery, deli and hot table. It was so good it definitely won't be my last visit. Traditional Italian Veal Sandwiches are served on crusty bread fresh from their bakery with your choice of toppings like mushrooms, peppers and cheese. This nostalgic sandwich will have you planning on coming back for more. The wood fired pizzas are to die for. The gnocchi left me speechless. Beautiful Italian cafe! The friendliest people working here make the best cappuccino and they make your visit special. So many types of specialty breads in their bakery. Calabrese Round, Calabrese Long, Spaccato, French Stick, Corn Bread, Semolino, Whole Wheat French Stick, Ciabatta Loaf, Ciabatta Baguette, Vienna Calabrese, Whole Wheat Vienna, Rye Bread, Multigrain, Sourdough, Rolls and Bread Crumb Tubs. Of course I took home a selection of them. If you're craving something nostalgic, tasty, good quality food like homemade cooking, this spot is for you. Classic Italian comfort food.

Good portion, piping hot, cooked perfectly (crispy on the outside and soft and not undercooked on the inside), and very flavorful. - Eggplant Parmesan - Fresh, good portion, and flavorful but not hot enough. I asked them to heat it up some more but even after that it was still not hot enough. I took it home and it was good once microwaved. - Caramel Crunch Cake - TERRIBLE. Unlike other places that offer the same cake, this one did NOT have real cream. The white "cream" tastes like cheap sugar substitute, oil ingredients, and very chemical. I took an initial bite and couldn't eat any of it. Tasted worse than something one would buy at the supermarket.
